Considering neither Bats or Supes are in their traditional costumes, why would WW be in hers?

Considering neither Bats or Supes are in their traditional costumes, why would WW be in hers?

Most of the pics re costume design that people are putting forward are still based on the traditional costume, with the corset and 'shorts' (and I don't think they can count as shorts!)

There were differences with the Superman costume of course but it wasn't a HUGE step away from the original IMO, aside the missing trunks.

I think, if they are carrying on with the more realistic, modern element from MoS (which I assume they will be) they need to design a costume which makes WW look incredible, but is also BELIEVABLE as a superhero costume.

If a woman is going to battle, is she really going to be wearing a push up corset and knickers??

Her obvious beauty and sexuality is important for WW, not disputing that, and the fact that her costume is marginally revealing would work, I think (you could have enemies literally dumbstruck by her wonder assets etc...) I just don't think it should look like she is wandering around half-dressed.

As much as I would love to see Gal in the 'typical' WW costume - and as amazing as I'm SURE she would look - I have to agree...

It would just look weird to have Batman and Superman pretty much covered from head to toe and then there's this hot chick basically running around in her underwear.

The traditional costume was amazing but times have changed a lot from when it was first imagined and I do think the new costume should reflect that.

Wonder Woman SHOULD look sexy - but I don't think she should look overly sexualized. It's a fine line but I do think they will nail it. Synder and co KNOW there will be backlash if they stick Diana in anything too skimpy or gratuitous, so I think they will go for a more realistic element; no-one is going to be going to battle in a corset and knickers, come on.

Bottom line is - Gal is gonna look HOT. The end.

Indeed. She will look beautiful because she is played by someone beautiful. There's no need for her to be almost naked.

Not bad. I like the battle skirt, but I don't like the blue bits on her shoulders. I think it also looks a little too Romanesque. She should have open-toed sandals though if you're going with a gladiator look. The tiara also seems a little big.

Excellent stuff! I cannot draw, so I admire anyone with this talent.

I like it. I've been sold on the open-toed sandals, but it's really nice. I like that she looks like she is wearing armor and I think the Romanesque look works actually.

That has a very Asian feel to it. Interesting concept. I'm not sure how they could adapt the traditional colors and features associated with her character to that design, but it would be a different look for sure if they went there.

Hercules is a Demigod from ancient Greece and he goes into battle butt naked with a lions fur cloak and a Club. Wonder Woman wearing a push up corset and knickers shouldn't be a porblem.

^ I doubt it roach-el. I don't think they will use the new52 costumes for any character and I hope I'm right. They're all heinous in some way. Well, batman's is ok. But I can't see them using anything that armoured.

She'll probably wear black leather pants and a black leather jacket, black shirt. Here's my theory of an introduction, she'll stop a holdup in a liquor store at night by throwing the guy through a window and then Batman shows up giving her a tough time for being so destructive. She's out at night looking like a civilian to fight crimes.

These are all fictional characters including WW and Hercules. There is no accurate so to say and there are so many source materials that its pretty much up for interpretation how you want to represent their look.

And regarding Hercules, this is more the concept of art, the "heroic nude" where they drew the heroes naked to show their physical greatness and virility.

Yeah, an erotic adaptation. Of course Hercules was a black fella with a 12 inch...club and his partner was a hot, busty...hydra. Very good film and the costume was very accurate.
