I wish we could get great behind the scenes documentaries like on Superman Returns dvd. Those were awesome.
Thank you for the reminder. Managed to snag myself one after seeing this post!
Looks like the 57 minute documentary that will be on the disc is different from the one uploaded on Youtube. The thing that irritates me is that they have done away with that stuff almost entirely (unless you’re Ridley Scott, James Cameron or David Fincher). And only the digital release of SUPERMAN has the commentary, gag reel and deleted scenes… talk about gypping the fans who buy the physical release.
And even more so that WBD has done away with bonus materials entirely on the DVD release. Would including the Gunn commentary, gag reel and trailer be too much to ask? Or actual menus with some effort put into them?
Can the extras even be accessed if you buy the movie on Apple TV app on a TV? I remember hearing years ago that they were only available on the Apple TV device only.Yeah, stuff like this is unfortunately more and more common. For example, David F. Sandberg did a commentary for the digital version of Shazam!, but it's only available you purchased a digital copy through Apple TV or iTunes.
I'm shocked they are releasing that video before the physical media release.
Watching the video. Finally confirmation that they changed/modified the S during filming. It's always a joy to hear that David was pro trunks from day 1.

Just watched the documentary. Not nearly as extensive as the one from SR but I enjoyed it. The focus was mostly on the filming of the movie. David and Rachel have so much chemistry. I wish could have seen their original screentest. Also, Gunn mentioned as a kid he loved Super Family comics (Superman, Supergirl, Krypto etc.)
I had to check to make sure, but Matt Reeves did something similar for The Batman. iTunes exclusive. How did we go backwards
Unless they're stupid and make it an exclusive video for HBO Max or Disney Plus.A lot of their special features end up on YouTube these days anyway. I'll stick with the physical and be patient.
They must've got me mistaken for a taylor swift stan because.....i aint wasting on variantsI had to check to make sure, but Matt Reeves did something similar for The Batman. iTunes exclusive.
I mean, I guess these studios know that we'll double and triple dip for physical and digital copies of movies that someone will buy multiple digital versions of a movie just for a single featurette or commentary.
