The Worst President in History?

Worst President ever? Yes he is. Saddame needed to be dealt with sometime tho so I cant fault him for GOING to war but ****in up everything after is all on his admin. Botching Afgan? There fault. About to drop the ball on Iran? bet your a$$ they are. I wont mention 9-11 as I still think there is something very odd about the whole thing(besdides the obvious). These are only the well known things he messed up just imagine what hes accomplished behind the scenes. Im guessing well be reaping the rewards of those dandys for the next 10 years or so.

Listen, guys. I doubt Admiral_N8 is a troll. He stands firm in what he believes in - something that we are all guilty of.

Disagree all you want with him (as I sometimes do), but lets not affix labels.

And Admiral, ShadowBoxing is far from being a troll himself. If such a poll is ever put up, I know where my vote would go to.

Derail? you really should start reading what poeple say to me out of the blue.

Semantics? No, thats other people...the people who say "US Citizens arent the ones making laws"....saying Congressman are citizens, but not like only citizens at the time
...and he attempts to start it again  The fact that you attempt to confuse words and phrases is semantics...

Well keep in mind companies did not exercise much control over congress back then simply because the economy and frankly Washington itself was a lot different back then, so you cannot apply a modern setting to it.

Financial strength may be good, but for a continent such as America where even then the demographic make-up was wide spread you do not want one central bank controlling the money.

The constitutionality was decided in McCulloch v Maryland
here is a court case overview

I actually like old court cases (except those dealling with social issues) they had some interesting views on Government power.
I forgot that case

I remembet in History we always saw cases like this. Hard to remember which one was which but it was fun what they said. Pretty much America's Goverment was defined in its early court cases

What was so bad about Kennedy and LBJ?

LBJ completely lied about getting us into Vietnam which caused the US military to experience it's first failure and cost hundreds of thousands of lives (Bush's war in Iraq can at least be blamed on faulty intelligence until evidence surfaces about his lying and hasn't cost over a hundred thousand American casualties).

Kennedy is only highly remembered for his great ideas on paper, but because of a Republican Congress could get nothing done, and getting his head blown off.

and I didnt say he was a troll, I said he just trolls behind me....because he will just post at me agreeing with what other people have already said about him.

No, I think SB is a good poster.

I just stand firmly, and its a different opinion then the vocal and big posters here, so i get lots of people posting to me [much of the time immaturely but thats fine] and I try to respond to them all since they deserve to have their questions answered. But what you get is group thinking and the people arguing against me pat each other on the back and say "ya youre right Admiral is a *****e".

Its fine though.

You should read LBJ's policy sheet...I think he is one of the best Presidents ever, Vietnam drasically overshadows an overwise great Presidency.

You're right. Vietnam was a mistake and LBJ is partially responsible for that. But in his defense, he did create the Great Society program. And I'll agree with you about Kennedy but you can't realy fault him for being blocked by a Republican congress and getting murdered.

Yeah my father always told me LBJ was a hugely underappreciated prez...

Yeah. LBJ's domestic policy was second to none. He, unlike Bush, actually gave Texans a bit of a good name. And he graduated from my college, Texas State University, the only Texas school to ever have a president as an alumnus.

he really is incredibly underrated...he is a great example of where history latches onto one event and villianizes someone for it....kinda like Red Sox who defect to the Yankees.

Wars tend to overshadow things. Oh, I just remembered that Bush isn't even a real Texan. He was born in Maine or something like that.

Not really. Aside from No Child Left behind (which some claim is heavily underfunded) and some of his current energy policies Bush is accused (myself included) from totally ignoring the poor (which is unfortunately very evident from the e-mails Michael Brown released from the katrina disaster...however Bush response was probably the least bad as compared to the state of Louisianna, which he declared a disaster area 48 hours before the storm hit, unprecedented). Other than that absorbing FEMA, increasing deficit spending, expanding the federal beauracracy by 64%, cutting funding several urban housing and urban development policies of the Clinton era, his recent come down on immigrants (despite his 2000 campaign running platform where he sang the National Athem in Spanish...no one else sees the irony), His inept tax policies, inability to use the "bully pulpit", the Patriot Act (goes without explanation)--thankfully little of it has been implemented yet, His use of "newspeak" to improve things like working conditions and wetlands...etc.

"real Texan"?

So if someone isnt born in America but become a citizen here they arent a "Real American"?
:p

My mom is a teacher with over 20 years of experience on the job and she says that education is taking a big hit in Bush America and I tend to believe her on all matters pertaining to education.

Well in this case he spent most of his childhood and teenage years in Connecticut...actually if you watch video of him from 1998-1999 he doesn't even have his texas accent, he sounds like a northerner actually. He even went to college at Yale...he spent summers in Texas from what I recall thats about it, and obviously has family ties there and then managed several business out of Texas later in life....but certainly is not a true Texan like he claims to be on television.

In YOUR opinion, those things arent facts.
