I haven't watched TNA in awhile. Are the triple-threat matches a standard thing now for the X-Division?

Looks like a cross between the NXT Championship and the 'Attitude Era' Intercontinental Championship. Not a fan of it, the previous X-title was so much nicer.

Yep, which was an odd choice when you consider that the division has less depth than ever right now.

It's a good night to be Chris Sabin. You win the TNA World Title and then get to go home to Velvet Sky afterwards. Lucky bastard!

Good for him! He's had a terrible two years and he has been a TNA staple for a long time. I've always liked Sabin. Even though I'm sure his win will end after a few weeks, it's a nice achievement for him.

A very solid show! TNA did a tremendous job building up Sabin all night.

Impact for 7/25/13:

Hernandez vs. Mr. Anderson: Anderson wins with the Mic Check.

Ultimate X match for the X Division Manik vs. Sonjay Dutt vs. Greg M. - Manik wins in a really fun match. Crowd was behind Manik for most of the match.

Main Event Mafia came out for a promo. They say they are not done with Aces and Eights. They bring out Chris Sabin, who addressed the crowd. He challenged the winner of the Ultimate X match "later tonight" to a match next week in a champion vs. champion match. Bully Ray came out with his attorney to say they are filing a lawsuit if the title isn't returned to him.
Velvet Sky came out to cut a promo on Mickie James. Mike Johnson doesn't get her but we sure did. She is staying out for...

Mickie James vs. Gail Kim for the Knockouts Championship: The crowd was behind ODB as she officiated the match. The finish came when Mickie went outside and Gail slapped ODB, only to get rolled up by Mickie when she came back in. After the match, Gail got in ODB's face and Brooke Hogan came out to remind Gail that ODB is still an active competitor.

Bound for Glory series matchChris Daniels beat Samoa Joe after Mr. Anderson came down and distracted Joe.

AJ Styles vs. Jeff Hardy is the main event. Huge pop for Hardy when he comes out. Excellent back and forth match that saw AJ Styles win by submission.

Overall this was a fun show. There was a lot of action and it went by quickly. This was the first show I've been to since they came to St. Louis for Lockdown a few years ago.

I didn't watch all of Impact but enjoyed what I saw, and was happy for Sabin. Definitely a good moment for him. I will agree that I don't think his reign will be all that long.

It is and especially when they don't really have enough guys to keep the match ups fresh, not to mention it really means none of the X Division title matches have any storyline at all.

Agreed. I'm not a fan of his as a singles wrestler, but I have nothing against him either. God bless the dude...happy he has been able to make a comeback after his injuries.

I just feel like they just gave the world title to the Marty Jannetty of the Motor City Machine Guns.

WWE creative has apparently reached out to Stone Cold Steve Austin regarding WM30. Their pitch is to have Austin represent Vince McMahon in a match with Triple H over control of the WWE in a culmination of this slow burn storyline.

I can't see Austin coming out of retirement for this.

Lol, fu** TNA! Sabin winning the world title is a fu**ing joke. So much for me attending Bound For Glory this year. This is almost as bad as when Miz became WWE Champion.
