The Wrestling Thread Damn Sure Doesn't Work For You!

Of course, we all know what the best possible WM main event would be. Cena turns heel at the Royal Rumble, or sooner. Becomes the actual "face of the WWE," which is classic art imitating life (see: Austin vs. McMahon). He and Bryan build up to a classic confrontation at WM.

But we all know that idea is too good to happen. So forget I even mentioned it. :(

Maybe Sheamus will be Orton's match

I've said before Jericho would be an excellent opponent for him. If Rock were game, he'd be a good option as well. Either way Orton needs someone to come in to work with. Lesnar will obviously work with Taker, Bryan and Orton have good matches but faced each other on three straight PPVS and Orton has faced Punk and Triple H at previous manias that honestly don't need sequels. An Orton/Cena main event should not be considered under any circumstances.

I think Jericho would be an ideal opponent for Orton, they have some history and I can't recall the last time the two of them actually feuded. Plus they never addressed Orton punting Jericho out of the WWE a couple of years ago. I think Jericho would give Orton a big match and one that he could win to rebound after dropping the title at the Rumble.

As noted, WWE will be broadcasting Raw in Nashville, TN tonight. They will head to Atlanta, GA tomorrow to tape Smackdown and Main Event. If anyone is attending either taping, we are seeking live reports.

In regard to stories of a John Cena injury, I am told he's pretty banged up but it's more due to pushing himself back and working such a hard schedule as opposed to something new that happened. It was explained to me that no matter the schedule, he was going to be hurting due to how hard he pushed the envelope to return.

Despite my criticisms about his character, I actually like Cena, and I wish they would dial back his schedule to lengthen his career. His character is so ubiquitous now, he doesn't have to wrestle in every show just to advance his storyline. Back in the golden age, we rarely saw Hulk Hogan wrestle on television, but his storylines still progressed week after week.

If I'm Cena, after Wrestlemaina 30 I'm asking for a part time schedule. Maybe Not Taker/Triple H part time, But 3 months a year off isn't going to kill the WWE.

Daniel Bryan and Baseball Player Josh Reddick:

It's a shame Punk or Bryan aren't heels, because I could see Punk/Bryan being a huge, 5-star match at WMXXX. I'm on the bandwagon for a Cena/Bryan with Cena being heel. But the latter will never ever happen.

No Wrestlemania XX match on HBK's Mr. Wrestlemania set next year after all. I can see why though as at least half the match would be silent.

WWE.com has announced Cody Rhodes, Goldust, The Usos and a mystery partner will face The Shield and The Real Americans at Survivor Series in a traditional 5-on-5 match.

Wonder if its an early return for Sheamus? Could be Mark Henry, Mysterio or Christian.

I still think it's a missed opportunity not doing a 6 vs 6 SS Elimination Tag Match. It could've been something truly great and could potentially branch off 2, maybe 3 WrestleMania matches.

That's probably going to be the best match on the show.

C'mon you know Big Show vs Triple H 's stand-in will be great. I bet Orton is wondering when he's going to get another feud that's about him.

C'mon, you know Orton is either gonna be shoved back into the mid-card or be HHH's pawn again. :oldrazz:

Please no to Christian or Mysterio, they suck.

No they don't. Both have been good performers over the years. I don't see how anyone with an ounce objectively could say that.

Christian is especially one of the best hands they got when it comes to consistently delivering in the ring. And to be honest, I've always been a bigger fan of Christian's work ethic than Edge's and that's saying something.

I agree with this for the most part but I always go back and forth on who is better between the two.

Ok lets all act like Christian himself isn't boring as hell as a character. Captain Charisma my ass. Yeah he can wrestle but thats one part of being entertaining when it comes to being a wrestler if you aren't an entertaining character nobody cares.

Roll your eyes all you want but once again, he sucks.

Really? Because he would get pretty damn good pops whenever he would come out. Talk about "nobody cares". :whatever:

He can't possibly suck because you admit he's a good wrestler, which is important no matter what your tatses as a wrestling fan might be.
