When I tricked the dirt sheets a few years ago:

Good times. :)

After watching The AJ Styles and CM Punk trilogy for the ROH pure Title and Styles's match against Danielson at ROH Dissension, I definitely welcome him going to WWE for high profile rematches with Punk and Bryan that could top their ROH classics together.

P.S.If Styles wanted to keep his AJ Styles name for future use despite trademarks, he could always do what Rick Rude, Warrior, and Chyna did and legally change his name to AJ Styles.

I'm watching Smackdown from where I left off earlier...

Big Show/Henry are going to be an awesome tag-team.

D-Young vs. Cesaro was a fun quick match. Titus needs to turn heel somewhere down the road and become a singles star.

Ryback's segment was pretty good actually.

About to watch the cage match now.

Or he could just go by Alan Jones. WWE would give him sh** about the Styles name since Joey's still around.

-- Daniel Bryan has been moved from the "B' shows to the "A" shows on the house show loops now that Cena is out due to injury.

-- While John Cena and WWE are both publicly claiming that they expect Cena back by WrestleMania 30, the real expectation is that he will be able to make it back in time for the Royal Rumble, which is just under five months. That is believed to be pushing his recovery time slightly, something Cena has a habit of doing when coming back from injury.

I'm watching the 30 years of Wrestlemania panel .I'm only at the intro so far,and I'm dying laughing.Jim Ross calling Paul Heyman "Happy Heyman The Jovial Jew".What the hell is going on?:funny:

Well that is the other extreme, Vader is a tough mother****er. But even just recently Cena and his elbow, he didn't let it affect his match with Bryan.

And Bryan himself wrestled a lengthy match with a detached retina.

Kurt Angle won an Olympic gold medal with a broken freakin neck! It's true, it's damn true.

Triple H continued matches after tearing quads on separate ovassions.

Mick Foley...Where do I begin?

oh wow

Sadly, they more than likely would. My understanding is that WWE's current policy is to change the in-ring name of all of their performers so that WWE will own the trademark. If a wrestler leaves/is future endeavoured, they don't want that person making money elsewhere off of a name that was built while working for WWE.

The last wrestler to get in under the previous policy that allowed wrestlers to keep their ring name was Punk. Since then, nearly EVERYONE has had to change, even indy and international stars like Danielson, Mistico, Hero, Castagnoli, Caras, and Generico. The one exception I can think of is Otunga, as WWE was hoping to capitalize off of his relationship with Jennifer Hudson. (WWE would also obviously make an exception if they finally signed Sting, as not using his name would be counter-productive to why they want him in the first place)

I'd imagine that if AJ Styles goes to WWE and wants to keep that ring name, he'd have to sign all rights over to WWE, so that when he parts ways with them, he'd have to find another name to go by.

That being said, if AJ makes the jump, I like the Jason Styles idea.

ok, we'll see on this one if they sign him... I have a feelign they wouldnt change his name though...

I really hope you're right...AJ Styles is not only one of my favorite wrestlers, but one of my favorite ring names. It suits him and his in-ring...style (no pun intended)...perfectly!

I just find it hard to believe that they would ignore their policy, and the fact that there is already an "AJ" on the roster.

But, I'd be VERY happy to be wrong!

Who suggested the Cena vs. Punk vs. D-Bry match at WMXXX? I like that idea.

Vince and Triple H. :woot:.

According to reports, that match is what's currently planned for WMXXX's main event.

Or at least, the WWE title match.
Punk and Cena's participation was guaranteed, which is why the decision was made to keep them apart this year. However, Bryan's inclusion is said to depend on how over he is by January, but its likely his current wave of popularity will last.

The one thing the current generation has that no other generation had before them is that nobody seems to have a problem putting anyone else over and helping to make someone else a star.

Say what you will about the Golden Age or the Attitude Era, but if Hogan, Hart or Michaels didn't like you, they wouldn't do a thing for you. And if they didn't like you three years ago, they wouldn't change their mind.

the title of the next thread should be.......

"The Wrestling Thread is so Pretty!!"

Although the way the WWE is tearing it up lately, we will probably get a good headline from the first 15 minutes of the next Raw.

Happy 68th Birthday to Vincent Kennedy McMahon!!!!!!!!!!!

Mick Foley once wrestled through a match in Japan with Vader without an ear. :cwink:

It got torn off earlier in the match due him getting twisted up in a rope.

Holy hell. Who is that guy?

Barret sold those like a champ.

They've been a roll lately, so I'm guessing first five minutes.

Barrett and Cena legitimized that knee by the way they sold it. Gonna be the nest Sweet Chin Music.

Without a doubt, great job by Cena and Barrett. I know TheNextNolan says it's the "Boma Ye" but it looks like KENTA's busaiku knee kick to me, and funnily enough if you put those search words in Youtube this is the first result you get.

Daniel Bryan uses KENTA's Busaiku Knee Kick

Definitely, Cena, Punk, Bryan and Orton don't seem to have that "What a bout Ma Spot!" mentality.

It was it in Germany actually. :oldrazz: :cwink:

Holy hell. Who is that guy?

Sami Zayn, he's looking like the best prospect down in NXT right now I'd say.
