Wrestlemania is almost making the most money so in an attempt to attract non-wrestling fans and entertain them, we get crap like Flo Rida and Brodus Clay dancing with fake grandmothers.

With Extreme Rules, the focus is back on wrestling and the current stars instead of smoke and mirrors act. For example, Sheamus and Danielson got a chance to shine with their 2/3 Falls Match after getting screwed at Mania.

Wrestlemania 29 is going to be awesome!

$$$

Dude thats not an answer to a STORYLINE question. The wrestlers aren't suppossed to be able to book themselves. Otherwise everyone could. Even the guys who draw big money.

Which was dumb. You shell out $60 for what's supposed to be the biggest wrestling event of the year and they deny two of their best from putting on a clinic. "Oh, you wanted the match? Sorry, that's going to be next month, but thanks for tuning in anyway." Nearly killed Sheamus' momentum with that crap.

Wrestlemania should be the place with the focus on the current stars. Sure, the legends participate, but their job really should be to enhance the current talent, not hog spots. You can have spectacle, focus on the current talent, legends and all. That's how it used to be done, I don't see why it can't be again.

It's interesting that WCW and TNA get bashed for using older stars for nostalgia and WWE is now doing the same thing.

Not only that but this silly idea that Mania can go off the wall to bring in non fans is just that--silly.

Most people I know that are NOT fans STILL fins Mania silly and all wrestling silly crap with a bunch of oiled up men fake fighting each other and they sure as hell aint gonna shell out sixty bucks for it or buy a ticket.

Most of the people Mania DOES bring in are already fans on some level who don't bother to buy anything else.

A-f***ing-men. Some of the WWE conditioned audience eat it up when old timers and part timers hog the spotlight there but when TNA did the same thing it was crap. Double standard.

Meh, its happened before. Hulk Hogan got a title shot against Triple H just because.

Don't get me wrong, guys. I agree with you, but my answers are exactly why Wrestlemania is no longer the best PPV of the year as it used to be.

Think of WM as a that disappointing movie sequel that tried to too hard to top the previous film by going all out to impress people, but became a critical failure because of the lack of focus on quality of the writing and such.

Two wrongs don't make a right. And even later on when Hogan tried for ANOTHER title shot he had to EARN it...against Triple H.

They've become a parody of themselves. Look how much they bashed Hogan before bringing him back for a nostalgia tour/ championship win. [YT]99FxcIfGumY[/YT]

True,Although I might be in the minority But I never really had a problem when it happens in TNA,I never cared about age/part-timer"hurting business"/"new stars being denied"and all that,IF I like it then that matters to me the most!!!

The Rock winning the WWE Title at The Royal Rumble poses an interesting conundrum for Elimination Chamber, especially if a Raw guy wins the Rumble match. There is absolutely no way in hell that The Rock's "Hollywood People" will allow him to compete in the Chamber match, so that eliminates any title defense from him until WM 29. If a Raw guy was to win the Rumble, he automatically becomes the #1 contender, basically leaving Raw without a Chamber match.

That's why I think a Smackdown guy is going to win the Rumble, or the Raw guy who wins chooses instead to go after the World Championship. Either way would mean a Raw #1 Contenders Elimination Chamber to face the Rock at WM 29 for the WWE Title. Of course, the Smackdown Chamber could be for the WHC.

I like Flo Rida, I just didn't think he should have been involved with WM 28.

This week's Impact got 1.5 million viewers since SpikeTV is back on DirecTV.

Is that good in terms of TNA's standard?I haven't kept up with ratings for them in a long time

I want Punk vs Austin is because it's the only legitimate reason for Punk turning heel. Punk wants to face Austin but it seems like Austin won't do it unless Punk is a heel.

It's the only way this decision makes since at this time.

They'll make up for it with Extreme Rules. I've realized Wrestlemania has become the dog and pony show the last couple of years.

I really want Punk to have the title at least for one whole year. Of course, "Push Killer" John Cena won't let that happen like how he fu**ed over Alberto Del Rio by getting a pointless title win off him.
John Cena didn't killed Del Rio's push, Del Rio killed Del Rio's push by being a boring ass dude.

What he said. Del Rios many screwed up pushes are his and WWE's fault. WWE hasn't always booked him the best but he's never been all that great anyway. RICARDO is more entertaining and that has nothing to do with John Cena. I swear he understands psychology and that part of working better than Del Rio. At least in WWE.

Gawd, I love Sheamus. :D Chris Jericho too, haha.

Smackdown's been pretty entertaining to me so far.

Caught up on Impact, I don't like the Aces & Eights angle but the way they filtered in the Roode/Storm dynamic and cast interesting doubt over Storm was a step up.

The Knockouts tag and X division title match were both solid but the Gutcheck stuff is a time waster. It's obviously a work and most of the participants are green as grass.

The Chavo debut was hilarious, who do TNA think they are kidding? Those backstage comments were so forced and then when Kid Kash asks if Chavo is saying he's a wrestling legend and Chavo replies "No, these people are saying I'm a wrestling legend".....I burst out laughing.

Storm vs AJ was excellent, best match on TV this week, and Bully vs Kurt was good as well, but when was the last time Ray won?

Impact was no better than SD IMO, but the real trick to Impact is TNA has better faces and is not revolving around a single person.

They'll make up for it with Extreme Rules. I've realized Wrestlemania has become the dog and pony show the last couple of years.

They need to get WrestleMania back on track, surely this past year showed them what a waste of money these music acts and celebs are. The crowd **** on both rappers and Maria Menuenous, and chanted Bryan's name for the first 3 matches and then again later during the Divas tag.

WrestleMania has fans from all over the world converging on the event, these are wrestling fans, and no one sitting at home is laying down $60 to see rap acts.

Cena wins the Rumble and him and Rock have a contract signing at the EC, it'll probably go on last.

If WWE has a contract signing end EC then I'm going to puke.

Just started watching Smackdown, good to see the IC title getting some time.

Miz's new haircut makes him look even creepier than before.

I'd like to see a continuing feud between these 2.

Rock could always lose at RR then show up again during the Rumble match and win it. Cena then wins the title at EC and bam theres your Rock vs Cena part 2. Something we're all counting down the days to.

I'm sure everyone here has heard of the Wrestlecrap website...?

If so, does anybody have a front runner for the 2012 Gooker Award they do? My guess would have to be the AJ Styles love child with the ex-druggie chick.
