Sadly its looking more clear about how they will book Punk. I had hope at first because what he was saying is what we were saying. Then his parting comments to Cena and his whining later gave me doubts. They'll turn him slow until he devolves into a whiney heel.

I can already picture what Rock says "Its not about what YOU want its about what the people want." Don't see why they can't just have them go at it straight on instead of WWE's usual face/heel dynamic.

...Oh yeah...Punk might actually outclass the Rock and get too many people on his side with straight shooter talk instead of the usual pandering.

^ I know......lol.

Miz looks different with facial hair, too. but, I think it actually looks good on him. makes him look a bit more "mature" and "serious" looking.

Backstage News on the WWE Tag Team Titles, Del Rio vs. Sheamus, More
By Marc Middleton on 07/31/2012
- Pro Wrestling Syndicate will launch their new women's promotion on October 11th in Rahway, New Jersey and on iPPV. Bombshell Ladies of Wrestling (BLOW) will see their "Sweet Sixteen" hosted by former WWE Diva Ashley Massaro. "Sweet Sixteen" will feature 16 women's wrestlers in 8 different matches in the first round of the BLOW Title tournament.

- While Alberto Del Rio stated on last night's RAW that he will face Sheamus for the World Heavyweight Title at SummerSlam, the match has not been made official by WWE yet.

- Many in WWE expect Titus O'Neil and Darren Young to capture the Tag Team Titles before SummerSlam or at the pay-per-view. No word yet if AW's blunder on RAW last night will effect their push.

:hehe: Oh Ashley. You can't make this stuff up. Its even funnier if you remember the escort rumors.

Yeah, I always thought some facial hair would rid of get that baby face look on him. Also, I like that he got rid of the mohawk.

So sick and tired of the WWE beating us to death with Tout. Who cares and why are they so obsessed with it?

I wonder with Orton back, are they going to push him as the 2nd top face, while further turning Punk heel.

Trying to make us even more ashamed to be a WWE fan after watching all these freaks that get put on the air.

Miz Rape Face mode transformation...complete!

Orton looks better with facial hair, does The Miz.

Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan was an awesome match. :D One of the best I've seen in awhile.

At the same time, isn't that what a lot of us have been complaining about as well? How WWE doesn't put its focus on the champion. I thought his promo was a perfect representation of what we've been b****ing about for months.

The problem is that it made him look like a little *****. There are guys in this thread who have given more compelling reasons as to why Punk should feel aggrieved than Punk did himself.

Oh and Dolph Ziggler has one of the most polarizing themes ever. The beginning is perfect, the rest of it is ****. That voice and song in general just doesn't go with what Ziggler is all about.

Ziggler should come out to 'Cocky' by Kid Rock IMO.

Exactly.

I don't think Ziggler should be coming out to anything overly rock at all. As I said, the start is great, but at the risk of prolonging a cliche he needs an entrance song like HBK's.

Ouch!!!! Here's to anyone who thinks WWE is doiing good business these days and thinks that the WWE Network is a good idea or will actually happen.

If this isn't a sign things need to change in WWE, I don't know what is.

VINCE AND LINDA MCMAHON HAVE LOST A STAGGERING HALF BILLION DOLLARS, AND THAT DOESN'T EVEN COUNT THE WWE NETWORK
by Dave Scherer @ 9:43 AM on 7/31/2012

GreenwichTime.com
is reporting that since Linda McMahon's first Senate run in 2010, her and husband Vince have lost over a half BILLION dollars due to the drop of the company's stock price.

In 2010, the price was $18.64 a share. At the current $7.86 a share, the value of their 46 million shares has dropped to a little over $360 million, down from almost $860 million.

This is opening up Linda to criticism from her opponents, who say she let down WWE shareholders by giving up her position as CEO to run for US Senate since the stock price has dropped so steeply since she left her former position.

^^ A company can still be very profitable and have lots of cash reserves and still have a sucky stock price and poor capital return profile. Nevertheless, that's very eye opening information there.

Of course they can, but that is a terrible terrible drop. There is no way that can be spun in a positive light in a public traded company. The shareholders are not going to be happy.

I hope that both DBry and Punk end up in TNA by the end of the year. One way or another...

To be honest, although last night's show was kind of meh, I feel the WWE is doing a lot of things well right now.

The Wrestling Thread is like Kobe Bryant in a Hotel Room in Colorado... Unstoppable.

PLEASE!!!

I... I thought you were dead!

Never going to happen. That money in WWE is far too good for them to leave behind right now given there current spots in the company. Punk, if he isn't already, is said to close to a millionaire now.

Bryan is making six figures and with his Yes! t-shirt sales, I'm sure he's happy.

I believe Punk and Bryan are willing to take whatever bad booking that comes with WWE at this point in their careers.
