The Wrestling Thread Has An Incredibly Strongly Worded Letter In Its Appraisal File

Lita is a good choice, but I think it may preclude my celebrity pick:

There's only one celebrity who should be inducted at this year's event:

If WWE found a way to combine the logical booking of the year 2000 with the Match quality presented in late 2013 then we'd have an ULTIMATE wrestling product right now on TV.

I can think of 2 very easy ways to change it. This isn't complicated at all.
There are plenty of logical ways to incorporate Bryan into the main event without it being a triple threat. I'm just saying WWE want Orton and Batista in the main event. They're only adding Bryan so the crowd doesn't **** all over it.

That is the WWE being stupid then.

Thanks to Adrian Denton for sending in the following report:

Just a couple quick notes from the arena just based on what I saw and heard being at ringside…

Lita got arguably the biggest pop of the night when it was announced that she'd be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Quite a few fans in the arena were chanting "this is ********" and "refund" when HHH announced that Daniel Bryan would not compete on Raw.

The Randy Savage look alike got a lot of "Macho Man," "Macho Madness," and "Randy Savage" chants going.

Two people in my area got their CM Punk signs confiscated.

Miz tried incredibly hard not to laugh or smile while the fans chanted "Miz is Awesome" when he came down to the ring.

Not sure if this aired, I think it was on commercial, but during Ambrose's title defense, the crowd was chanting "CM Punk." Seth Rollins got on the mic and said "CM who? That's Dean Ambrose. The guy all the men wanna be and the guy all the women wanna be with tonight."

Biggest Pops
1. Lita / Daniel Bryan
2. Antonio Cesaro
3. Dolph Ziggler

Most Heat
1. Batista
2. The Authority
3. Vickie Guerrero
:funny:

A triple threat match might not be ideal, but it's better nothing. I will say this, though: if Daniel Bryan ISN'T in the main event, if it stays as Orton VS Batista while they try to placate us with Daniel Bryan VS Kane in the midcard or whatever, WWE is not getting my money. For the second year in a row, I won't be ordering WrestleMania, and I'd advise anyone else who wanted to see Bryan in the main event to do the same. WWE can't be allowed to think they can shove any crap down our throats and we'll eat it up just because it's WrestleMania.

They would probably blame the low profit from WM on Bryan as well, saying that if Bryan was so over, then he would have drawn in millions regardless of what match he's in.

Sage, as far as Edge as a performer, I'd say while he was never going to be the "man" he was a definite main event player. He got it done in the ring, delievered great believable promos and was probably the best heel of the mid 2000's. He was Cena's best opponent before Punk came along.I'd rank him in the top ten of the last ten years.

Definitely agree. I really miss him too. He always made himself stand out, and he was willing to work with younger guys. That's how he was going to spend his last couple of years before his injury occurred.

See Randal, you can't fool us IWC folk! *straightens straw e-hat* Same old ****! same old ****! same old ****! :oldrazz:

- Before Raw went on the air tonight, when the announcement was made that the show was about to go live, a big CM Punk chant broke out. Michael Cole reportedly picked up the mic and said "how about…just go away."

- In related news, when the Dean Ambrose vs Mark Henry match went to commercial break tonight, a CM Punk chant was taking place, and Seth Rollins grabbed the mic and said "CM Who?"

- After Raw went off the air tonight, a big six man tag team match took place, which saw John Cena, Batista and Daniel Bryan team up to beat The Wyatt Family. The end came when the Wyatts triple teamed Bryan to get DQ'd, and then Batista celebrated with fans outside the ring while Cena and Bryan lead the crowd in a Yes chant to end the show.

Wow, Batista didn't stay in the ring to celebrate? Bryan's overness and the disinterest in his return is getting to him, I imagine.

How are they going to handle sign confiscating when they're in Chicago? And the CM Punk chants will likely be constant. They better plan to have a stacked card to keep the crowd happy and no nonsense stuff.

If Bryan vs HHH happens, I might consider watching it. I'm not sure when I'll purchase the Network. It all depends on the booking post EC. I might wait until after Wrestlemania.

The roster should be lucky that Triple H doesn't have a son, or that 8-year old would be going over clean on Christian and Ziggler by now.

One of his daughters is probably going to be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion :o

Three hour Bryan-Cesaro match.

''Hey AJ this is for you''

*proceeds to to the worm*

wtf was that about

One of the Bellas going for a high five with Cameron and she just ignored her so the Bella clapped herself

Have they announced any official plans for the Shield at Mania? I was trying to work out if at Elimination Chamber something happens and the split happens then, thus leading to a triple threat match at WrestleMania, where the winner gets number 1 contenders spot. Or if perhaps they struggle against the Wyatt's and there's a rematch at WrestleMania, and the split happens at Mania?

Any guesses?

So even Seth was getting involved in trying to curb the Punk chants too.

Btw, just been listening to Austin's podcast with Dave Millican (the guy who makes the E's belts) and he confirmed he's working on new/updating belts for them.

The "Big Logo" will look significantly worse than before.

The big logo just needs a background and it would look very good IMO. I think the US title could be updated if they keep it around, and the tag belts would be favorite of they were just gold instead of copper looking

I love this look
