Since now's as good a time as any, here's a quick rundown of my thought on New Japan's New Beginning in Hiroshima
1 El Desperado and Jushin Liger defeated Bushi and Kota Ibushi
I'm always happy to see Liger, and I'm starting to dig Ibushi and Desperado. Have not seen enough of Bushi to form an opinion. Otherwise this match did little to keep my attention.
2 Minoru Suzuki (with Taichi) defeated Tama Tonga
Of the Bullet Club members, Tonga does the least for me. I've yet to really see anything from Suzuki Other than a bad hair cut. Didn't care.
3 Chaos (Takashi Iizuka and Toru Yano) defeated Kazushi Sakuraba and Yuji Nagata
I like Nagata and I enjoyed what I saw of Sakuraba. Yano and Iizuka, not so much.
4 Michael Tarver defeated Hiroyoshi Tenzan
I like Tenzan. I like Tarver...........'s face mask. Most memorable thing was the accidental cut and the crap finish where Tenzan just kind of runs into Tarver's fist.
5 Satoshi Kojima defeated Big Daddy Yum-Yum (with Bruce Tharpe)
I enjoyed this match a lot more than I was expecting. It was like a pretty good match at half speed. Plus I didn't really expect what lineage the NWA title has left to be carried on by someone named Big Daddy Yum-Yum. Also, what **** is that guy wearing? Did somebody steal his backpack and forgot the straps?
6 Chaos (Tomohiro Ishii and Yujiro Takahashi) defeated Tetsuya Naito and Tomoaki Honma
I honestly can't remember a thing about this match.
7 Bullet Club (Bad Luck Fale, Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson and Prince Devitt) defeated Alex Shelley, Kushida, Ryusuke Taguchi and Togi Makabe
Really fun tag match. I've become a bit of a bullet club mark in the past couple weeks, so now I'm starting to dread the possibility of Devitt's coming to WWE cause I love the Real Rock N' Rolla persona.
8 Hirooki Goto and Katsuyori Shibata defeated Chaos (Kazuchika Okada and Yoshi-Hashi)
Enjoyable match that got me interested in Okada's upcoming defense against Goto.
9 Bullet Club (Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson) (with Tama Tonga) defeated K.E.S. (Davey Boy Smith, Jr. and Lance Archer)
Decent match with a really weak ending.
10 Hiroshi Tanahashi (c) defeated Shinsuke Nakamura
The rest of the card felt like a random Raw, this felt like a completely different show right from the opening bell. Great main event.
