I'm going to go ahead and say it...

I love Daniel Bryan. He's my favorite wrestler right now. However, I don't want him in the WM main event. I just don't. As much as I disagree with how the a Royal Rumble was handled, I don't want them to keep devaluing it by adding guys to the WM main event or having the winner lose his spot before WM. Winning the Royal Rumble should mean a one on one match with the champ. I loved that they added Bryan last year, but I believe in wrestling just enough to say that Daniel Bryan had his shot (story-wise) at Royal Rumble and lost. Last year, he was not given the opportunity. While it sucks that he (and Ziggler and Ambrose) were jobbed out at RR, I don't want them to devalue the "prestige" of winning the Royal Rumble.

It was said this week by a WWE source that no matter how hard the fans rally for Daniel Bryan and no matter how much he gets over, top WWE officials are not going to see him as a top guy that can be the face of the company.

Before the news came out this week that WWE was planning on doing Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler at WrestleMania 31, there was a feeling among many that officials would not give in like they did last year and Bryan wouldn't be getting pushed to the WrestleMania main event again.

With that said, there was a rumor that Ziggler vs. Bryan could open WrestleMania 31.

Rumors of a dream match have swirled on social media but now it is official. The legendary, 2nd generation Mexican wrestling star and former WWE Champion, Alberto El Patrón, will challenge Jay Lethal for the Ring of Honor World Television Championship live on Pay Per View at our 13th Anniversary event.

Upon his arrival in ROH, Alberto El Patrón wanted an opportunity to speak with his fans on ROH Television. Alberto proclaimed that he was finally among the best wrestlers on the planet and he wanted a shot at the most important title in professional wrestling, the ROH World Championship. Lethal and his manager, Truth Martini took major offense to this and Lethal interrupted Alberto, telling him he should have done his homework before coming to class. Lethal made it known that he is the measuring stick for the best professional wrestler on the planet and that his championship was the most important.

This meeting of two very different athletes in the prime of their careers is something that does not happen very often. This rivalry has taken on a personal twist as Lethal feels Alberto overlooked him as a champion. El Patrón believes Lethal has challenged his manhood, something for which Alberto will not stand.

Though he is, by all outward appearances, an avid wrestling fan with an encyclopedic knowledge of the sport, 28-year-old Brandon Barker has attained the status of “super-smark” by hating every wrestler, promotion, and television show in the industry.

“Daniel Bryan, meh,” Barker tweeted today, dismissing the enormously popular WWE star as “overrated and under-talented” with a “merely passable workrate.”

“Bryan is just another underdog hero schtick foisted upon us by The Fed,” added Barker, using the smug wrestling nerd slang term for World Wrestling Entertainment.

Though Barker used to be just an average smark (or “smart mark” — a fan who understands and incessantly critiques the wrestling business), he graduated to the level of super-smark last week when he declared that “Ring of Honor sucked even when Claudio (Cesaro) and Generico held straps (championship belts).”

Barker’s smarkiness has only continued to escalate since then, with declarations like “Chikara is too mainstream” and “NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 9 had a worse workrate than NOAH Uprising Spirit 2002.”

Barker now insists he only watches wrestling promotions that doesn’t actually exist.

They don't want him as the top guy and he's too good to showcase on Raw without that happening. Vince is a control freak. He doesn't want these guys being successful with other ventures , he puts them in ridiculous no complete causes, they are on the road a ridiculous amount of time , the list goes on but it all boils down to what Punk said years ago: "vince is a millionaire , who should be a billionaire". Ziggler's an a plus player but his career is similar to Mr Perfects at this point (prior to injury).
