WWE has published their 10-K report on their corporate website for 2011. In the report, it includes their wrestling contract with Paul Levesque (Triple H). The new agreement went into effect January 1, 2012 and expires on March 30, 2016, when Levesque is 46 years old.

Some highlights of the contract:

- Levesque will be paid a 'Minimum Annual Compensation' of $1 million for each year under contract.

- Levesque will be limited to 180 dates per year, unless both parties mutually agree to extend beyond that number.

- Levesque cannot work or perform in any capacity for any 'martial arts' organization while under contract.

Yeah, that was great. :funny: It fit Austin's character at the time, because he was the anti-hero who "embraced the hate" the day he was born, but we liked him because he hated everyone more or less equally.

Cena is more like 1980s Hulk Hogan, who wants all the faces to like him, and is only merciless to the heels. An Austin-type Cena would never be friends with Zack Ryder; he'd have been the one to put him in the wheelchair in the first place.

Lol, Vince gave one of his best calls that night with the way he delivered his line "What is wrong with this man, he just doesn't give a damn!" Austin's attitude that everyone was the enemy was what made him unique at the changing of the tide.

And tell him to "Grow a set."

Wrong. Rock restarted the match himself then Rock bottomed Cena . He DID end up costing him the WWE title. He restarted the match AND he interfered.

Coulda woulda shoulda. It happened the way it happened. We aren't talking about what ifs or how it "would have turned out if"...but what really went down when the dust settled. Rock wanted his payback and that match was getting restarted. He apparently had the power and he wasn't going to leave it like that.

He could have let Cena lose "clean" (by count out) but he restarted it so he could personally stick it to Cena. Hell that makes it worse.

Sorry, I have a hard time accepting that Cena was "screwed" out of the title when the match ended already with Cena legitimately not capturing the title.

The match restarting, and Rock giving him a Rock Bottom wasn't "screwing" him out of a title - Cena had already used up, and lost, his opportunity. Whether The Rock came out to attack John Cena or not, John Cena was not getting the title. The Rock's involvement had nothing to do with that.

WWE star and former US Champion Dolph Ziggler recently sat down for an interview with Cleveland.com, and spoke on a number of topics including his love of Cleveland sports, and who he would most like to face at a WrestleMania event. Below are some highlights, and you can check out the entire interview by clicking on the above link:

Being a Cleveland sports fan all his life:
"I went to them all. The Cavaliers used to play at the Richfield Coliseum and I actually went to say them when I was a little kid. Mark Price, Brad Daugherty, Larry Nance, all those guys. We used to have to drive 40 minutes to get out there just to see a Cleveland game. It was fun, we used to make a whole day out of it going to see the Cavs or even a WWE show. Always a big fan of the Browns, of course. No wonder how bad they lost or how much we froze to death out there, we still went to the games to watch them lose."
His dream Wrestlemania opponent:
"Shawn Michaels, 1997. That's someone who could actually hang with me for 60 minutes, Iron Man Match. Let everyone know who is the best ever, not just best in the world who puts it on a t-shirt or shows up for six months a year. But someone on the roster right now, it would be Tyson Kidd. Me and him go out there and tear it up. Show everyone what wrestling is really about. And still make them care. And have them come away knowing that's the best match they have ever seen."

WWE Network Fails To Get Picked Up By Any Cable Providers

WWE Network

WWE is not having an easy time getting its television network off the ground – and a new article published by the New York Post reveals just how much trouble they are having.
According to the Post, WWE has yet to sign with single cable or satellite deal with providers to carry the Network. WWE has also been seriously lagging on hiring experienced cable executives.
WWE was expected to hire 200 employees including a general manager for the Network, but one cable executive told The Post:
“WWE has the programming and marketing muscle, but they just have no one with cable experience who can execute for them.”
Industry expert Gerri Dinini says that whole channel of WWE content might not have a broad enough appeal to be successful:
“Given the content issues, I think a whole channel would be a stretch. It is very limited in who it reaches.”

“WWE has the programming and marketing muscle, but they just have no one with cable experience who can execute for them.”

Hmmm, too bad there isn't a member of the McMahon family who's spent the last 2-3 years heading up a cable company in the fastest-growing consumer market on the planet ...

Nah, there isn't, what was I thinking.

I only read a few of those and they were amusing. Those are three of the few wrestling characters that could work in a comic because their characters aren't as wrestling centric. They created a whole mythology. Kanes outfit looked like something from a comic book.

The books weren't amazing but a better than the recent WWE comic. Cena and HHH fighting monsters? Ugh.

Then there was this:

:hehe:

god thats just god

takers worked well, because it played up on his whole demon/ministry past. he was the warden of hell's prison and any jobber he faced was an escaped demon.

throw in kane and paul bearer as dark priest plus mankind who could see the demon for what they are and it wasn't to bad. hell they even managed to get the ABA look in when he was on earth

it wasn't high art but what did you expect from the company that brought you lady death

I love how he kinda plays his character by saying a legend is the only one that could keep up with him now, but he also gives some props to an underrated guy on the roster. He's really getting great all around. It's a shame that he isn't the one facing Undertaker. I could really see him fitting well in that role right now.

Watching NXT this week, Alicia Fox was looking pretty good this week.

It's terrible too. He pulls his quad in the second panel, and the next 18 pages is just him lying on the couch watching WCW Thunder.

Good One.:woot:

Sorry, but Rock had the power to restart the match. Which he DID. FACT. Then he cost Cena the title. FACT. At the end of the night what happened? Rock left Cena laying in the middle of the ring with the victory ripe for the picking for the Miz.

You like playing the what if game well for all we know the Raw GM would have restarted the match ANYWAY. GM's have a habit of doing that sometimes when a match ends in in such an unsatisfying fashion. He/she had an announcement remember?

You can't even say for sure that the Miz had it won unless you can PROVE that the GM was going to declare it over.

Look at the 05 Royal Rumble. The show damn sure didn't end up going the way the 94 Rumble did when Bret and Luger BOTH went over at the same time did it? No. An official made a different call in a similar situation.

At Wrestlemania they tend to like to have the WWE title match end more traditionally with a pinfall or submission. You can't say The Raw GM or some other official wouldn't not have restarted the match before Rock did either can you?

Either way the match ended the way it did after being restarted. No amount of what ifs on anybodies part is going to change that fact.

nells point is that the rocks actions came as a pair - no Rock interference and the match was over and Miz retains, Rock restarts the match only to embarrass cena further, he never actually cost Cena anything

Pro Wrestling Torch reports Mark Henry may be on his way out of WWE.

On the December 12, 2011 episode of Raw, Henry pulled his groin during a match against John Cena. Testing done during the week revealed that the injury was more severe than was originally believed. The majority of WWE's creative forces wanted to give him an easier schedule for a few weeks to let the injury heal. Vince McMahon, however, was described as being less than sympathetic to Henry's plight and decided to have him lose the World Heavyweight Championship to Big Show the following week at TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs. McMahon didn't think Henry should have taken time off to heal and pushed him to continue making his scheduled dates. This has led to frustration on Henry's part.

Henry's contract with WWE is set to expire this year and the Torch says that tension could have led him to not renew, thus explaining why he's losing the majority of his television matches.

Vince Russo was scheduled to participate in an interview with PWInsider.com next Monday to discuss his departure from TNA Wrestling. The former WCW World Heavyweight Champion, however, decided against doing the interview and issued the following statement to the website regarding his TNA departure:

Despite the continuing rumors, speculation, and hearsay surrounding my departure from TNA Wrestling, in an effort to set the record straight, I was not fired, terminated, released, or let go from the company--it was my decision to walk away, and from there the separation was mutual, amicable and professional.

It simply makes good business sense that where someone of my talent and ability was not going to be used to their capability or capacity, that a parting of the ways was inevitable.

In closing, I’d like to thank my fellow writer and friend, Matt Conway, for giving me purpose, my friend and brother, Jeff Jarrett, for hiring me, Dixie Carter and the entire Carter family, for keeping me employed, but, more importantly, every man and woman in the locker room for giving me the opportunity, and ability, to work in the professional wrestling business for the past twenty years. Without their blood, sweat and tears . . . I would have not been able to support my family and make a living. My greatest loss by far is leaving them behind.

And truly, from the bottom of my heart, I wish TNA all the best in their future endeavors.

PS: I couldn’t help myself with that last line, but I truly DO wish TNA all the success in the world!

Peace,

Vince

That's pretty stupid what Vince did with Mark Henry. The guy finally becomes a big heel for the company, so he messes that up by not giving him time to heal? I understand dropping the title, but not letting him take time off is stupid. I know Henry didn't have much left, but there is still some good he could have done instead of pushing him out when he's the best he's ever been.

And how the hell does he KNOW the GM wasn't going to restart the match? God knows THATS never happened. :whatever:

Even if he did The Rock basically had the power to restar the match all along apparently. Even if Miz won by DQ it wouldn't have mattered! The match would have gone on regardless because Rock didn't want it to end like that.

Miz's DQ win was pointless because Rock was the final authority and he made it known.

McMahon is an a**hole. In this Wellness Policy age there's no way he should have pushed Henry to continue if he didn't feel comfortable with it. In the end it was Henrys choice but Vince put him in a tough spot. The health of his wrestlers should be the top priority. They can't compete long term if they are gradually broken down and don't get a chance to heal and rest.

Even with all glossing up of WWE's image and treatment of wrestlers he's apparently the same old Vince deep down.

He's denying it but it sounds to me like Vinny Ru was just ******** that he was clearly losing power in TNA. Either to Prichard or Lagana or someone else.

TNA's definitely gotten better. Its not great but its more consistently good than its been in a long time. Maybe ever.

Vince McMahon is probably bipolar, but nobody ever told him or is afraid to tell him for fear he'll go on one of his weekly rages of anger.

I can't believe WWE is actually trying to get half of the The Rock's hometown / home state fans to boo him. Can you imagine if they tried that with Austin at WM 17? What a bunch of morons.

I wonder if it's as bad as Ultimate Warrior's Comic Book?

Nash didn't try to rape Santa Clause.

They are delusional if they think they're gonna get anyone other than women and children cheering for Cena at wrestlemania.

Too bad WWE matches don't take place on lifeboats, otherwise Cena would be over every week.

Nash didn't try to rape Santa Clause.

Nash couldn't rape anybody even if he tried. The man would lose a footrace to Steven Hawking.
