I always felt him to be more entertaining as the heel "Legend Killer" Randy Orton, and I much more enjoyed his promos as well. Right now, I'm not really a fan of his babyface character, but I do still enjoy watching his matches. He gets a lot of hate and pretty close to the amount as Cena gets, but I still like watching Orton to this day.

And to ask who could be another face for SmackDown...that goes to Sheamus, who's becoming a solid fourth face in the business as well as a top seller of his merch. He can definitely hold up the brand on his own, especially if/when he becomes World Heavyweight Champion.

Sheamus could be a good replacement...still, I think it'd be a waste to turn Orton heel at this point. Not that anyone's saying otherwise, but Why not have two over babyfaces instead of just one?

Orton is the top baby face on smackdown , and really who on that roster can take over as the face of Smackdown. Maybe they can do minor tweeks but he is pretty damn over

I thought he had a good 2011 until he feuded with Wade Barret. He was really over with the Smackdown crowd. I like his heel character more because he's bland at times but we might not see a heel turn anytime soon unless Sheamus is able to hold the top spot.

After Cena's promos the last two weeks and how Raw ended last week, I am wondering who'll receive the bigger pop in Boston. Granted, it's Cena's home, but that doesn't necessarily give Cena the edge, lol.

I haven't been in Boston for a couple years but last time I saw Cena , we booed the hell out of him. I don't think he'll get much hometown love , especially in the Rock's presence. Although it will be interesting if some fans do decide to side with Cena. He's been stepping it up and his 'there every week' speech could start to resonate.

People were behind Ryder and it was a great moment when he finally won the US title yet WWE royally fumbled the ball there by giving it to Swagger. And like you said it was a worthless title change.

Where is Ryder? I guess he's suppose to sell his injuries but hopefully he doesn't miss out on Wrestlemania. It was great to see him win an actual title and sucked when he lost it so quickly but he's supposed to be working on some sort of project.

Although, where would that be coming from? Orton, right now, is one of the top babyfaces. There would have to be something that would make Randy do that. What could possibly work is Kane is still with the "Embrace the Hate" gimmick and he finally used that against someone that is supposedly "weaker" than Cena. I don't know, maybe.

Randy could just always snap at anytime saying it was the "voices" or something. All he'd have to do is say he's sick of Rock/Cena and that he's better than both and a couple RKO's done. Not what I want necessarily but it could be done easily.

As for who could take Randy's spot as top face on SD? Well Sheamus is pretty darn over and more than likely about to win the WHC at Mania so he'd be the one.

Well Cena got booed last July in Boston on RAW during his feud with CM Punk. I can't imagine it'll be any different.

Whatever it is, I hope they both bring it in promos, with little to no jokes.

This is why no one should expect Orton to turn heel, imo. Even though Punk has taken the spot at number two, Orton's still one of the top faces in the company. He wrestles better as a face, has a good look, and the RKO is an excellent mark out finisher.

I do think he needs to alter his gimmick, but its better that he stays a face.

I feel the same way. While he's a better heel character, his style as a heel was weak to me.

I like him wrestling as a face. No more Ortonlocks. :cwink:

I like ROH and everything, but how poor are their production values when I just saw Jay Lethal make two obvious flubs in a PRE-PACKAGED interview?!? They can't afford editing or something?!? It's like they just have one 8 mm tape that they have to record over every week.

This is why I only focus on the awesome live shows. Got Joe Koff to be on Gorilla Blood again this Tuesday live at 10:30 PM. Only at http://www.pw247radio.com/live/.

Man, that was a hell of a show. I needed that today, too. Followed it up with a killer meal, too.

You know your stock as a face has fallen to the pits when even your hometown fans won't cheer for you.

Re: The Rock

Supposedly because of the chance of him making it big in Hollywood, The Rock wanted a part time deal for his new contract so he can make movies and still wrestle (you know similar to how Cena does it). Vince and/or Stephanie & HHH thought he wouldn't make it so they let his contract expire without even letting him know so he would come crawling back.

That didn't happen thus leading to the fallout where The Rock gave the misconception by cutting off his wrestling ties that he was too good for WWE when in reality, he was pissed off because of the lack of respect. IMO The Rock's father and grandfather's HOF induction was a total political move to force The Rock to re-appear and begin comeback talks.

If Cena wasn't being a sugarcoated pr*ck in the feud (I do believe some of his remarks are legit and I HATE that he's still a face despite acting heelish) and not for WWE screwing over The Rock like that, I'd be all for Cena winning, but WWE owes Rock big time and winning the main event of WM in his hometown would be a great apology as well as giving reason for a Cena heel turn. And it wouldn't be predictable.

I thought there was a dispute over the use of the name "Rock" as well?

It probably was, and Vince was wrong in what he did. But coincidentally at that Hall of Fame ceremony, Rock spent more time than he was supposed to talking, overriding the time that was meant for Ric Flair, as he was the centerpiece of the ceremony that year.

Was that his way of payback? Because of it was, then it was childish on his part and an act of disrespect to the company he claims he made him. And even disrespectful to Ric Flair, a man I recall him saying he idolized when he was a child.

How is Cena being heelish and the Rock isn't? He's done nothing but hit strong notes in his promos. It's amazing. As someone else said, when he was sucking up to the Rock, he was a sissy. Now that he's been firing back, he's acting heelish and Rock is getting victimized.

On top of all that, Cena's really doing nothing CM Punk and HHH haven't done in the last several months with mixing reality with their serious promos. If you look back at the summer last year, this is what Cena was doing during his feud with CM Punk. But the difference is--so far at least--CM Punk was throwing it right back at Cena verbally while Rock can't. Or he's too busy making lame jokes and twitter comments to do it.

It's very simple: Rock needs to cut the crap out of his promos and say more things that matter.

On top of that, who cares if some of Cena's comments are legit? That's the way it gets in wrestling sometimes. CM Punk's promo last June, majority if not all of what he said was how he really felt. Did Cena get angry and decide not to put him over? No, it was business. Same with HHH and Stephanie. If they were upset, they got over it.

I think they should do a back stage segment where some of the wrestlers in the back confront the rock about going hollywood and turning his back on wrestling.

The rock should then give them a verbal beat down and rock bottom them all. Forget putting them over he should bury the whiny wusses.

Heh! :D Who is that hitting the move?

Maybe he found the motivation to actually give a damn about the WWE during his second suspension.

I'm more surprised that WWE still give a crap about him after back to back suspensions.

"That's the only match I would come out of retirement for. I would put my body on the line only to be able to show I could still go. I would take my body to the limits I never thought I could at this age only for that angle, but that’s not going to happen because he’s already beat up all the old men. The only thing I'll hook him with is he’s killed all the legends but he ain’t killed me yet," says Page.
Oh DDP! :funny:
Trish Stratus appeared on George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight to discuss her WWE career and how yoga has changed her life. Two minutes into the interview, George Stroumboulopoulos asks the seven-time WWE Women's Champion if John Morrison resented her appearance at WrestleMania last year. Her participation in the tag team match with Morrison and Jersey Shore star Snooki against LayCool and Dolph Ziggler reportedly upset Morrison and girlfriend Melina.

"I don't know if he did... he might have said that," she responds.

Stratus continues, "He's entitled to his opinion. It was one of these things where we had an epic moment, it was WrestleMania, our biggest stage of them all, and I had been retired. So I'm out of the scene and suddenly I get to come back and be in the grandest stage of all, I get to be at WrestleMania. Well he thought "that's not cool" because I guess his girlfriend is a women wrestler and so he thought maybe another girl deserved that spot. But, I had gone back to WWE television to do Tough Enough, which was a reality show they did to find the next WWE Superstar. They asked me to be back, we promoted that show, etc. He was a little resistant, like there were some moments where I was like, "Oh, he's not meshing with me."

Stratus then details the 'famous cold shoulder incident' where she was snubbed by Morrison during their post-match celebration at WrestleMania when she attempted to embrace him.

"We have a famous cold shoulder incident. Well, we're on live television. We had a match, we won the match, we were victorious as a team and then I went to go like, we do that typical thing, you raise the hand, you point [and he went in another direction, leaving Trish hanging]," she explains.

"I just said to him, "Hey, what you've done now, is because your career is made up of moments, so now you've taken a moment from the fans, really." Because they don't care about backstage politics, they don't care if you think your girlfriend should be in that spot or whatever it was. So he just denied the fans and himself and that's that."

Stroumboulopoulos then asks Stratus if Morrison would have snubbed her had she not been a woman.

"Probably wouldn't have done that to me if I wasn't a woman, yeah," she responds.

I'm surprised this is still being discussed a year on.

-- Talk within WWE is that a stipulation may be added to the Cody Rhodes vs. Big Show match at WrestleMania XXVIII beyond the Intercontinental Championship being on the line.

I can't really see what type of stip they could add in truth as the heel has the belt and Show hasn't got any hair to put up.

Orton's face character is still unhinged and prone to violent outbursts, all they'd have to do is play up how he feels direspected by the focus being all on Rock and Cena instead of him, as he's the 3rd generation star who stayed true to his roots; and you've got motive and an angle.

Orton is the top baby face on smackdown , and really who on that roster can take over as the face of Smackdown. Maybe they can do minor tweeks but he is pretty damn over

Sheamus is all set to be the top face on SD and there's still a strong possibility of the brands merging.

Title vs. Career? Big Show is 40 afterall and he's been around since 1995 when he was the Giant in WCW. Maybe he feels that it's time to call it a career.

I just don't think it's a big enough match for Show to put his career up, I mean he may not be in the top stars ever list but I think they'd make more of his final match.

NFL linebacker Shawne Merriman, of the Buffalo Bills, posted the following on Twitter:
"F--- C.M. Punk, he's still a punk forever in my book. I'm sure my supporters feel the same way... And WWE, I ain't hosting y'all new network until somebody whoop C.M. Punk cuz he's a p$ssy.

Serious, who the f--- is C.M. Punk other than a soft butt...wrestling gone soft f off... If god is my witness, C.M. Punk was wearing a thong laying by the pool tanning his cheeks in Costa Rica, now tell me I'm lying... C.M. Punk wants no part of Lights, trust me...

And WWE, I ain't hoting sh#t until C.M. is dethroned... I ain't a hater at all, but if you like dudes tanning by the pool (in) a thong that's cool. I think he had pillows under his stomach."
Merriman and Punk have Twitter history, as the two had an internet feud in the past, which began when Punk called him out for failing an attempt to pick up one of the Divas when WWE was touring Costa Rica.

Merriman is also admittedly Chris Brown's friend, so one would assume Merriman's latest comments might have been fueled by Punk and Brown's recent Twitter war.

from their fued last year
CM Punk: "Watching Shawne Merriman of the buffalo bills hit on our divas and strike out, reminds me of the Bills in the Super Bowl. choke."

Shawne Merriman: "I was just giving you guys some hope look like you were struggling by the pool. Sympathy from Lights"

Punk: "If you could get to a QB as fast as you ran after our divas maybe you'd make headlines being a pro bowler and not a creep."

Merriman: "How about I come and deliver a nice special lightsOut rump woopin tonight Costa Rican Style."

Punk: "Clearly, I have defeated you. However, You will have plenty of time to think of a better come back while you ride the bench for another entire season. Good luck getting to the Super Bowl! With love, CM Punk."

Merriman: "Do me a favor turn your little wrestling underwear around and give yourself a wedge - see you later Punk without the CM."

and Merriman did just that, he took a whole year to think of a better comeback
:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Shawne Merriman is a drug cheater. He's been suspended by the NFL before for four games and is another violation away from being suspended for half a season (8 games).

I have been thinking about how they could fill up time for the WWE Network. With all of the hours of WCW and ECW out there they could really give fans a chance to look back at some of the greats. I didn't get a chance to watch ECW until they got on TNN, so I'd ove to go back and see Taz in his heyday. With WCW I used to watch it every week, but it would be nice to go back and see things form as an adult instead of as a kid who was a WWF fanboy. lol

Hopefully the new network really makes use of the vast video libraries they have.

They will fill the WWE Network with non wrestling programming.

he also likes to beat up women, figures him and Brown and him are friends.

I second this  I also thought he had good in ring chemistry with Daniel Bryan on last weeks Smackdown

Heh! :D Who is that hitting the move?

I think Charles Robinson
