What were Stephanie's 9/11 comments?

Stephanie compared the so called persecution of her family by the US government during Vince's steroid trial to what the country went through on 9-11.

Thats...mind numbingly ******ed on SO many levels. It just shows the McMahon family arrogance she inherited from her father. They aren't even close to the same even if you take away the difference in scope.

The Benoit tribute was probably looks worse in hindsight but Stephanie said what she did KNOWINGLY. What she said was in poorer taste because of that.

Probably Stephanie's comments.

Benoit's "tribute show" was done before the full knowledge of what happened came out. As I recall, the facts only came out while the show was going on. I think Regal was the first person who was suspicious just based on his comments during the broadcast.

The day after on ECW, Vince McMahon apologized for the show.

I remember this, thinking something just doesnt feel right.you can clearly tell in his voice that he is uncomfortable just been there.

Some people obviously felt there was more to the story than what they knew at the time.

It was clear to me THEN that Regal was acting funny. He probably had an idea that situation surrounding the family's death was more sinister than what the public knew at the time.

I think most people just didn't want to speculate or believe the worst had happened but unfortunately thats the scenario that turned out to be true.

I've still got the whole show recorded on a disk.

These need to be unified.THe us title seems mostly forgotten and they canbarely focus on both at thesame time let alone defend them on thesame ppv. Unifying the titles would definately bring back some meaning to it.

I think both could be kept but they'd be on a different tier.

Intercontinental sounds bigger to me than US. I'd rank them

World
IC
US

The US title would basically take the slot held by the Euro, TV, and Cruiserweight titles in the past.

See I've heard that it wasnt the rock that didn't want to be assoiciated with wrestling and not be a part of it. I've heard that in late 2004 he was released from wwe contract without his knowledge. This crested tension between him and Vince which is why he wasn't seen at all until 2007.
Hell I've even heard he wanted to wrestle Randy Savage at wrestlemania 21 but then found out he was no longer s part of the wwe.

I also think that how Hollywood perceives Pro Wrestling (in Hollywood, Pro Wrestling is just WWE) played a factor in his sabbatical from the WWE. In Hollywood, Pro Wrestling (the WWE) is basically seen as a joke, despite the fact that a large number of celebrities are WWE fans (or used to be).

I remember this, thinking something just doesnt feel right.you can clearly tell in his voice that he is uncomfortable just been there.

Thanks Kaleb. I haven't watched that since I saw it live almost 5 years ago.

Regal knew just about, and I think read that JBL asked him about it after the comment.

-- Shannon Moore stated Saturday on Twitter that he had decided to take a break from wrestling in order to spend time with his family and focus on outside endeavors.

"Before someone gets it and twist it. I've decided to step away from wrestling for awhile," he wrote. "I'm putting effort into my own business. Thanks for your support in the ring but for now I am chill'n at home opening my second tat shop and enjoying my family."

He continues, "Or am I working you.... Who know the wrestling secret talk... Lol.... love you guys peace!!!"

Moore's TNA ring time has been drastically reduced since partner Jesse Neal opted to part ways with the organization in December.

-- Sarita turns 33 years old Sunday. She celebrated her birthday by competing in Japan for women's wrestling promotion Stardom.

-- Winter has been announced for The Big Event 2 taking place Saturday, March 10 at the LaGuardia Courtyard Marriott 9010 Ditmars Blvd East Elmhurst, New York.

- As we have noted, Vickie Guerrero has been campaigning for Tamina Snuka to join her stable. The campaign stems from the two being travel partners while on the road with WWE.

- There is talk of using a modified Hell in a Cell structure for The Undertaker vs. Triple H at WrestleMania 28. There had been some speculation regarding how WWE would suspend the normal Cell structure from the outdoor canopy.

- WWE announcer Scott Stanford took an apparent shot at TNA's Jeremy Borash. A fan wrote to Stanford that "your no Jeremy Borash!" Stanford replied:

"Thats insulting, hurtful and...wait, who is that?"

- WWE Hall of Famer and TNA star Ric Flair was at the Los Angeles Lakers game on Friday and announced the second quarter of the game.

- WWE's website has a new video up with Evan Bourne, discussing his career before WWE. Bourne talks about wrestling across the world as Matt Sydal before making it to WWE where he debuted on ECW against Shelton Benjamin. Bourne said he will get to the top by going for the WWE United States Title first.

- Internally, the latest timeline for the launch of the WWE Network is "the November sweeps period." Basically the Network should launch sometime before November 23rd.

- As noted before, a masked wrestler named Benicio Salazar has been added to the WWE/FCW developmental roster. In Mexico, Salazar is known as El Hijo del Medico Asesino and Terror Negro. He is the son of Medico Asesino (Assassin Doctor).

It appears he will be using his doctor gimmick in FCW as well. Salazar signed with WWE in late 2011.

There's another article where he mentioned how he supposedly called out Rock by saying Cena was the better performer and better on the mic and Dwayne went and told Triple H on him, which I don't seem to believe it, but yah.

I don't recall the other incident but that one about Rock telling Triple H on him does ring a bell lol. WWE should use this and turn Orton heel, he's been an afterthought when booking this Mania so have him attack The Rock and play off this beef the locker-room have with him, both are 3rd generation stars so you can use that as part of the build as well.

He's really good. I think the only option is to reunite him with Natalya. They tried sticking him with everyone else , can't remember where they went with that storyline. The other idea would be for him to have a '1-2-3 Kid moment 'where he gets an unexpected win against a top heel and maybe the crowd will rally behind him. Maybe teaming with Barreta will work out.

If they decide to use him in the tag division instead of the mid-card singles division I'd pair him with a powerhouse in order to go the old contrast in styles route, but his skill level is better suited to the mid-card along with Rollins, Ambrose and Otunga post-Mania.

Probably Stephanie's comments.

I recall the rumoured comment from JBL to Regal backstage that night as things started to look even worse than initially thought - "You don't think he killed that boy do you?"

Okay that's right, I knew it was something dumb, I just didn't remember what it was.

We might be getting that John Cena back.....might be. Lately he has not been cheesy or campy.

I think with the last couple of weeks, we have seen a better Cena and they should've built that up instead of giving us the Cena/Kane/Ryder feud which, even if Cena's promos weren't cheesy, that entire feud WAS.

That would be a smart move, imo. That '3rd generation' thing was only mentioned during the Evolution vs Rock 'n Sock Connection angle, but it could definitely be brought back. Besides the griping of Rock coming back and leaving which is the other thing Orton talked about, I think this idea is more prominent which could set up a feud. Perhaps even bring Triple H into the mix as well.

Im all for a Rock v Orton fued, but I worry that the Rock will pick on Ortons promo skills (or lack of) and just make him seem like a joke ( think it will be very much like when the Rock made fun of the Big Show a few years back)

Makes sense as Tamina doesn't really have any charisma and I think she'd do well in Vickie's unit. The group needs a powerhouse as well.

Interested to see what the modfified Cell looks like.

This seems and odd thing to do with a guy who was apoparently going to be let go just a few weeks ago.

There's a few ways they can go, I don't think Orton gets involved in the Cena/Rock match at Mania but imagine if the night after on Raw he "Punts Rock back to Hollywood", setting up a Summerslam match.

I'm not sure if I find the Bellas attractive. Sometimes they look hot other times they don't.

Man I miss this Randy Orton, it just seems that over the years he has lost his passion

Yeah Orton needs to change his gimmick so he can be similar to how he was from 2003-2007. The legend killer gimmick was by far his best and if he has a gimmick like that again a feud with the Rock would be good.

While Orton was essentially playing foil for all of Rock's juvenile material with no comeback's, he did exhibit more personality than he does these days.

Oh yea I agree that feud was just crap. Like one of those bad horror films that come out every year. But Cena has gotten better these last few weeks and if they continue this he will be entertaining to watch again.

Yeah the legend killer gimmick was all full of win. Orton dropped that gimmick for the viper one, but he needs to change gimmicks again and display more character.
