Wow, did Rock kinda get pissed at what Cena said? Because he got focused fast. :funny:

Oh wow... Cena got the Rock to stutter. It's like he didn't know what to say after that.

I was a bit worried too because Cena came out all smiles.

Cena was cool as ice, Rock looked emotionally flustered at the end there.

I'm glad Cena pointed out what was written on his arm. That was weak.

Cena put the Rock on blast and I don't think he expected that. I wish Cena would act like this all year round. So much more tolerable.

Cena's line "Continue trending" was pretty damn good. You can tell it got to the Rock.

I really wonder if Cena pissed Rock off. Rock couldn't say anything afterwards except a threat and followed by all of his nicknames.

Yeah, Rocky was repeating himself, like he just didn't have a retort to that "Trending" line.

Rock made a good point about no one fighting for other people who made it great in the business. Either that or he was just name dropping for cheap pops.

Both Cena and Rock did good here.

I wonder if Cena was meant to be out there, I mean the show ran at least 10 minutes longer than usual and Rock was just rambling about nothing, then Cena comes out and it goes home really quickly. It felt a bit like Cena was sent out there to close things out as there was no end in sight.

Rock had notes?

Rock looked like he had tears of anger coming along. So flustered. He was caught off guard for sure.

And if he had stayed on that, his promo would've been better. It started getting loaded with too many jokes after awhile.

I almost thought the Rock was gonna hit Cena.

Wasn't too impressed with most of Rocks promo. It was mostly the same old shtick until he started talked how everyone needs to fight for themselves in the back. That was GREAT and totally true. If you really want to make it you have to fight for yourself. Thats the most real thing he said tonight and it really made this seem personal. Really nailed Cena with that one. The name dropping reeked of cheap pop pandering but it was still true what he said about all of those guys.

Then of course he went back to the shtick. Kung Pow *****? Lame. Most of it didn't seem very innovative to me. He also flubbed a little at the end but everybody has been doing that tonight. Wasn't that bad. But what was bad...since when does trending on twitter have to be an integral part of a wrestling feud? I agreed with Cena on that one. Enough with the twitter, WWE

Cenas response wasn't stellar but I was surprised that he won a little of the crowd back briefly when he interrupted. He showed a little of the arrogance he needs going into this.

His line about Rock not caring if WWE went out of business tomorrow was ridiculous though. Really hard to swallow.

Rock was so lame. I feel like at least half of his promo was devoted to "LOLTRENDING", and the other half was ladyparts, "Please chant my catchphrases", and "John Cena shouldn't help the guys in the back."

Rock's promo may not have been much But I still overall enjoyed it,Especially the part about the old wrestlers not having people to fight for them and when he mentioned that he got boos like Cena when he was a face as Rocky Maivia!!

I hate to agree to this But Cena defiantly got Rock again,I sure hope Cena remains like this&more after WM!!

Just thought of something. This year, it'll be ten years since the last time Rock was a full-time wrestler, and ten years since Cena made his WWE debut.

Yea Rock did have notes which Cena pointed out and were clearly visible on his arm.

Re: Rock's anger.

I don't know if anyone else caught it, but he said "mother****er" after Cena left. I don't if he was censored or if he was just mouthing it, but it was clear as day.

To me that segment showed what I have always said about Rock's limitations as a promo guy, when it's comedy, catchphrases and trash talk sure, he is one of the best, but when you want to make the people believe, when you want them to feel, he's lost. Contrast that with the promo a few weeks ago between HBK and Triple H, it felt so real, the emotions came off as legit.

His line about Rock not caring if WWE went out of business tomorrow was ridiculous though. Really hard to swallow.

The line is one that will be interpreted by people how they wish but the key was I think that was the line that had Rock struggling to get his words out and his voice sounded close to tears until he went into nickname overdrive.
