I'm surprised at the Briscoes story because I thought ROH had an understanding with their talent that if WWE came calling they'd let them go.

ok i'll admit, at this point in time my 10 year old self was marking out like a *****

great mania

Heenan makes this moment "Hogan hasn't got a friend left in the world!" *Cue Warriors music" Pure gold! :D

I would actually also prefer Lita vs. Beth. In the old days, we almost never got to see Lita wrestle a woman her size or bigger, so I'd like to see that.

Lita's work was very poor in her last couple of years as injury caught up with her, she got increasingly sloppy and couldn't do the moves that made her unique.

The first 15 minute overrun of the 2/27 WWE Raw broadcast, which featured the confrontation between The Rock and John Cena, drew a 3.5 rating. The additional six minute overrun drew a 3.3 rating.

Embrace the hate!

Maybe the Briscoes themselves aren't interesting in leaving ROH.

I could do without them for a while. Not long, but a short time to go without them would be good for me.

That, but a more fundamental problem was that Lita was mismatched against her opponents during the Attitude era. Her working style was that of a male cruiserweight, but most of the women she wrestled against (Trish, Molly, Ivory) were like 2/3s her size. It's like Kane doing backflips on Cody Rhodes. So even from a storytelling standpoint, her matches already didn't make a lot of sense.

Now, there are more bigger divas who can wrestle (Beth, Tamina, Kharma, Natalya) I'd like to see what Lita can do.

I am never going to get that image out of my head.....

Hey, just be lucky I didn't go with my original analogy.

Hint: it involved Big Show, Orlando Jordan and an inflatable kiddie pool filled with marshmallow peeps.

It makes sense. WWE's Facebook page has this thing on Andre the Giant and "Who from today would you want to see face him?" and all that. Easy answer is Cena, who's having the torch officially passed to him now. Hogan beat Andre, Rock beat Hogan, and Cena will eventually beat the Rock.

The Rock saving Eugene was one of the best segments I've ever watched.

Turns out Regal not an official GM. He's just a "match maker" Cut the crap and end the season or make NXT a brand. Release all the current NXT guys and bring in some fresh faces fbecause these guys suck.

- WWE's goal for this past weeks RAW was to give John Cena the upper-hand according to F4Wonline.com. John Cena's time on the mic, what he would say and The Rock's reaction was all intended for Cena to win that round.

Many in WWE are holding strong that Cena pointing out The Rock had notes on his wrist was not scripted and not something The Rock was prepared to hear.

WWE officials are determined for the crowd to be split 50/50 at WrestleMania 28 in Miami which WWE knows right now will require Cena to look stronger and turn some of the crowd to join his side.

In the Rock's new documentary they talk about expecting a split 50/50 crowd reaction to Hogan vs The Rock. Of course most of the crowd sided with Hogan out of nostalgia. This time they expect different results?

What's more funny is that you guys are thinking it's a bad thing that Dwayne wrote down a few reminders. It was a 20 ****ing minute promo guys.

We've seen Rock's promos go longer than that. I still think it was work but if not then maybe it can attributed to time away. The whole thing surprises me.

I watched the Chris Jericho/CM Punk promo, and yeah, it was pretty brilliant. It confirmed what was already the case for me: this is basically my main event at Wrestlemania, the match I'm most excited to see.

Here's the difference to me between the Jericho/Punk promo and the Rock/Cena promos: there's a clearly defined heel and face. Jericho is playing the heel, and because he's always been an utter professional who isn't afraid to look bad, he was deliberately lobbing out soft-balls that would help Punk expose Jericho as a hypocrite and in turn make Punk look better. People have talked about Jericho being outclassed in this verbal exchange, but I don't agree. Jericho is just engaging in exactly what a heel promo is supposed to do: make fans get behind the babyface more.

You make a good point. Punk is really good on the mic at this point so it's hard to tell but I think it will be interesting to see where this goes.
These guys will hopefully steal the show at Mania.

Also i really like how Wrestlemania is shaping. It's good they kept Orton out of the WHC match and also I think Kane deserved a singles match. The Orton/ Kane feud should be straightforward.

Fun fact: the last time kane was masked before he began his unmasked run,
he lost a match with triple h (with his mask on the line) thanks to outside interference from orton

would be interesting if they brought that up but doubtful

HBK & The Rock Advertised For RAW, Shaq-WM28 Update, Fozzy News

Submitted by Michael Bluth on March 1, 2012 - 10:56am

- Boston's TD Garden, the site of Monday's RAW, is advertising The Rock and Shawn Michaels will be appearing in person.
The dark match main event will see CM Punk & John Cena vs. Kane & Chris Jericho.
- As of this week, there is still no word on whether Shaquille O'Neal will be appearing at WrestleMania. Shaq has stated several times that he will be at WrestleMania, even saying back in December that he would be wrestling the Big Show. The WWE website posted an article last week denying that Shaq would be appearing at WrestleMania, which caused even more confusion.
For months, it was rumored that Shaq's involvement with WWE would kick off next Monday's RAW from Boston's TD Garden. If Shaq doesn’t appear on that show or isn’t referenced in some way, he most likely won’t be a part of WrestleMania and it can be assumed his negotiations with the company fell through .

- Chris Jericho's band Fozzy has been announced to play the Download Festival, one of the biggest rock festivals in the UK. Other bands announced for the show are Metallica, Tenacious D, Killswitch Engage and Corey Taylor. Fozzy will perform on Saturday, June 9th.

********

I'm wondering what happened with Shaq , I don't see him being in Cody's corner at Mania , maybe a special enforcer for the match.

I honestly don't think Lita can do the stuff she did that got her so over, she could work with most and had a high flying style, when she retired 5 years ago she was a shell of that performer.

It's interesting to hear him coming from this angle. They're right, you don't see this side of him often, if at all.

It's the side that makes me think he's behind some of the changes for the good we have seen over the last year.

I agree and Orton had a good match with Kane last summer so hopefully they can replicate that.

^^ Did you make that Kane? it's really cool.

- WWE.com has posted a new article noting that as of February 28, 2012, Cody Rhodes has held the Intercontinental Title for 200 days. Rhodes joins the likes of The Rock, Pedro Morales and Shawn Michaels, all of whom held the title for the same amount of time.

- Concerning a possible return to WWE, former Champion John "Bradshaw" Layfield posted the following on Twitter: "Sorry, WWE has never asked about coming back more than a one off- happy coaching kids in Bermuda! Gotta make a difference-or try at least!"
