Triple H and Stephanie were officially elected to spots on the WWE Board of Directors this week. This may be important to remember if investors ever try to force Vince out.

I was just coming to post that. Yeah it could be a big deal in time.

Vince better be careful, he would still be allowed to run the business end of company if he voluntarily stepped away from the creative end. If the majority of investors force him out, he'd be gone totally.

I wonder if HHH and Steph will try even harder to get Kevin Dunn fired now :funny:

Lucha Underground continues to be awesome, but you already knew that.

Last night's episode was no different. They have very nicely set up this Johnny Mundo/King Cuerno program with an awesome brawl.

"When I came over to meet Sam [Mendes], I only asked two questions," says the erstwhile Galaxy Guardian. "I asked him if Mr. Hinx was a badass. He said, 'Yes, he's a badass.' I said, 'Well, is Mr. Hinx intelligent?' He said, 'Very.' That's what I like about Mr. Hinx. He's very well-dressed and very well-mannered. I'm not just here to fight people. He has a sense of humour. He definitely knows what a metaphor is."

I didn't care much for him as a WWE Superstar, but I am starting to like him as an actor.

- We’ve noted how Vince McMahon is back on his tag team kick, which is why it seems like the division is getting a push once again. WWE officials are high up on new Tag Team Champions Cesaro and Tyson Kidd, so look for their push to continue into WrestleMania 31. It’s also expected that the duo will get an official name soon.

- As noted, WWE has been airing Sheamus return vignettes on RAW. There was talk this week that his return could come as soon as next Monday’s RAW in Newark, NJ. Sheamus is rumored to face Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 31 but that’s not confirmed.

- WWE issued the following:

WWE® ELECTS STEPHANIE MCMAHON, PAUL LEVESQUE AND ROBYN PETERSON TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS

STAMFORD, Conn., February 26, 2015 – WWE (NYSE: WWE) today announced that WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon, WWE Executive Vice President, Talent, Live Events & Creative Paul Levesque and Chief Technology Officer and Head of Product for Mashable Robyn Peterson have been elected to its Board of Directors.

Paul Levesque has more than 20 years of experience at WWE as an executive and performer. Levesque also oversees all business operations for the more than 320 annual live events, including scheduling, ticket pricing strategy and promotion, and continues to play an integral role behind-the-scenes as a director and producer shaping the storylines in WWE’s programming.

Robyn Peterson, Chief Technology Officer and Head of Product for Mashable, is a seasoned technology executive with more than 15 years of experience in web, mobile and video product development. Peterson is a member of Mashable’s Operating Committee, where he directs product strategy and development and manages the product, design and engineering teams. Peterson led the redesign of Mashable.com in 2012 which ushered in a 100 percent increase in mobile page views, pages-per-visit and ad engagement, and oversees the development of Mashable’s Velocity platform, a technology that predicts and tracks the viral life cycle of digital media content. - As noted, WWE quietly moved Rey Mysterio to their Alumni section today and the company later confirmed that he is no longer with them.

There are rumors that Rey negotiated his release but PWInsider reports that his WWE contract actually expired and was not renewed. We’ve noted how there have been issues between Rey and WWE for some time. While expecting to leave the company, Rey was upset that WWE extended his previous deal because he was out of action for so long with injuries.

Rey will have no trouble finding work with other promotions. Konnan is already reportedly working on setting up dates for Mysterio and announcements could come as soon as tomorrow. There were plans for some kind of big reveal but news getting out today probably nixed those plans.

Word is that Rey will be doing a number of signing appearances but likely won’t be wrestling right away. Rey is expected to wrestle for Lucha Underground but as of this afternoon, the two sides have not signed a new deal. Rey may be coming into Lucha Underground as the person who introduced Konnan to Lucha Underground Champion Prince Puma.

Rey will likely make his return to Mexico’s AAA promotion at their March 15th Rey de Reyes event. AAA has announced a press conference for later this week and that could be where they announce Mysterio’s return.

Mysterio is expected to ask for big money to make indie appearances.

I don't really watch wrestling anymore but the business is still fascinating to me. I'm listening to CM Punk's interview on Colt Cobana's podcast and I didn't realize that the wrestlers might not get paid what they're owed with WWE selling wrestlemania on wwe network so cheaply. Working for WWE sounds awful honestly.

I just started listening to this after seeing the #givedivasachance tweet on msnbc re: stephanie mcmahon

Sooo, the WWE just announced on their facebook that Barrett will defend the IC at Mania in a ladder match against "multiple opponents"...Barrett/Bryan/Ziggler/Truth/Ambrose and maybe Harper?

Personally I was hoping for a ladder match between Ambrose/Barrett and that Dean shoulder bump to Dolph on Monday was just a tease. I'm ok with this, though. Sure, DBry being in the match diminishes Ambrose's chances of winning BUT if it were to lead to Dean turning heel and a feud between the two it'd do wonders for the title.
I was gonna PM you if you wanted my Mania ticket as I kinda figured you might be going. I'm going to the ROH and WWN Live shows, but Mania can **** off.
Yeah, so long as you're really going and not actually sitting behind your computer. :oldrazz:

Welp, looks like Bryan is going to be in a cluster****y match no one cares about for a Title nobody cares about at Mania. Guarantee he's in that Ladder Match.

Survivor Series comes to ATL this year. I want to go. Haven't been to a show since 2006 December to Dismember where Bobby Lashley won the ECW belt. :/

So I've been thinking...... whens El Patron/Nakamura? :hmm

Surely somebody (anybody) should be trying to make that a reality.....

A ladder match with Barrett/Ziggler/Bryan/Ambrose etc. sounds like a show stealer to me. Not "cluster****y" at all. :whatever: Obviously it's not the ideal Daniel Bryan Wrestlemania match but at least it's more exciting than a Sheamus one on one.

Where's the Rabbit? DId they ever reveal who the Rabbit was?

I am extremely happy for Big Dave. Dead serious.

It would be a show stealer...at Night of Champions. This is like putting Rock in a Fatal 4-Way at Wrestlemania X8.

:o

I was just thinking Vince really is the ultimate pro wrestling character in real life, he has played face and heel perfectly for me personally. I was a WWF kid growing up and he made me love pro wrestling, and now he's made me hate it to the point that I actually just don't want to watch any pro wrestling period, it just feels so unclean and disgusting to bother with anything associated to the business.

There really is a sad but of irony to this. Vince wanted to blur the lines of reality and now it's hard to tell where Mr McMahon ends and Vince begins. It's almost like the character manifested into a human being and took over. Like a manifest destiny Triple H is on the board and could someday be the one to ask Vince to step down.

I used to have this theory that dirt sheets were actually something Vince wanted because the backstage antics could keep older fans invested. I guess it turns out these people really are that bizarre.

Also I've never been this down on wrestling. I have the network and I can't even bring myself to watch fast lane. I'm trying to get excited about WM , but it's just not there. I've watched my whole life , even during down periods. I hate to complain like this , but Im starting to climb aboard the boat
