Who knew that Randy's MITB briefcase contained Triple H's shovel!

Just rewatched Punk/Lesnar. I gotta give Lesnar credit, he wrestles once every six months but puts on GREAT matches AND he made Punk look like a billion dollars tonight.

Although it would be nice to see Brock every Monday I'm glad this schedule keeps him around. Brock gives 110% every time he's in the ring and was worth the investment.

I felt like I was watching a really awesome NJPW main event with this sequence.

And I rewatched the Ring Of Fire Match right now. Unless there was something from CZW, I haven't given a match in the negative star range since Jenna Morasca and Sharmell from Victory Road 2009. That's how bad it was. Dave Meltzer was right on the money when saying that match is a viable contender for Worst Match of The Year.

LA screwjob.

Happy to see Orton back as heel. Heel Orton is the best Orton in my opinion. I wonder if COO Triple H is like Vince and heel Hunter combined.

I'm still shocked Daniel Bryan defeated John Cena clean. Purely clean, undisputed. Not even CM Punk was given that honor.

Cena probably gave him the rub because his dating his girlfriends sister :oldrazz:

If Punk hooked up with a Bella he could of won clean :cwink:

I think Bryan/Cena and Brock/Punk are the only North American wrestling matches in my current top 10 Match Of The Year list. Damn NJPW. :hehe:

Isn't there a third Bella, Doonice? The one with the receding hairline and the little flipper hands?

Punk would probably still hit it...

Seems like he's bang everyone in the wrestling biz already.

I always wondered if him and Edge had heat, seems like they switched partners near the same time (Punk was with Beth Phoenix, Edge had history with Lita).

Like I said last night, I loved the decisions made. Punk keeps focused on Heyman/Brock/Any of Heyman's other guys; Cena gets a few months off to rest and let Daniel Bryan's newfound momentum carry the company for a while; and Bryan becomes immortalized as a face along with Randy Orton becoming interesting again.

And you know what makes Bryan/Orton all the better? The face that Bryan had beaten Orton already. The "weak link" story is gone. Bryan's no longer an underdog (at least a huge one). Him and Orton's gonna be a good feud, especially with Coporate Triple H looking over everything.

That was terrifying! That's some serious trust.

Yeah, I even said that a hella risky spot right there. They must have gone over that spot earlier.

CM Punk probably shouts best in the world after he gets his car into a small parking space
Bryan-Haitch is starting to look really likely right now.
I hope they don't actually wrestle. I don't want Triple H stealing shine off a hot wrestler and killing their momentum like he did with Punk in their poor feud.
Kofi has the in ring skill. He also has charisma, but he's stuck as "the Reggae loving Ghanaian from West Africa." He has fan support, but it's not as big as Bryan's.

This guy has an idea on how the WWE should book the Black superstar:
I 100% agree with this.

Kofi is good in the ring and comes across like a very nice guy but not a very interesting one. He lacks charisma and that x-factor that pushes a guy from a midcard wrestler to one of the top guys at the big boy table.

Some people are speculating that Del Rio will face this man at Night of Champions:

I wouldn't be shocked. Especially with the news that he may be retiring soon, and that his next run in the company is probably his last.

I can envision Cena vs. Taker as the main event for WMXXX. It wouldn't completely suck if he ended the streak either.

It really wouldn't. Honestly, Cena and Punk are the only guys in the company I feel deserve to end it, should it ever happen.

I've got to be honest, I'm pretty excited for RAW tonight for the first time in a while.

I haven't got much time right now so I am gonna used the quotes to make my points.

LOVED Summerslam, only bad point was Wyatt/Kane, it's just as well they had the fire gimmick to cover how horrible this match was, Bray better pi98ck it up, The Shield never sucked on any of their chances.

Holy crap, now THAT was a match! You know what really set it apart? It wasn't just the insane, hard-hitting action, the sense that these two were legit kicking the snot out of each other... though there was plenty of that, to be sure. But what really set it apart was the STORYTELLING. This match had a gripping narrative behind it, and it had an arc. The first part of the match was all about CM Punk wrestling smart, going for the big moves, but it just not being enough to overcome Brock Lesnar's gargantuan strength. And Brock Lesnar has never looked more like a monster, he was just feral tonight: scarlet red, slabber running from his moth like a faucet.... dude's head looked like it was twice the size of Punk's! And I loved the increased desperation of Punk trying every approach under the sun, from striking, to high-flying, to dirty tricks, to even recreating the famed MMA sequence with the armbar that led to Frank Mir handing Brock Lesnar his first UFC defeat. And then the narrative took a shift as Punk's desperation became determination, and he started chipping away at Lesnar, and suddenly the beast started looking beatable. Some great reversals, and some moments where I thought it was done. And then they brought Paul Heyman into the mix in an effective way, giving us a rewarding resolution while also leaving the story open for future rematches. If we don't get another good match on the card, that match would have made the PPV purchase worthwhile.

This sums the match up for me, I never thought I'd see a better monster heel match than Sting vs Vader from the GAB 92, but this topped it. 5 stars, MOTN and MOTY right now.

They definitely telegraphed it...Hunter was hanging around in the ring after the match much too long for comfort.

I kept saying to my Dad "Triple H is still lurking, he's gonna Pedigree Bray and screw him" and then it looked like it was a red herring as Orton started to walk away, then BOOM! :D

Also it would be great if HHH just went and revealed this "wasn't the first time" and he did in fact screw Punk two Summerslams ago.

that would be good in sense but then you'd have to explain why he didn't do anything about the following 444 days he had the belt lol.

Hell of a finish from Bryan and Cena took it like a man, Bryan needs to start using that as an alternative finish to his Yes-Lock. Shame they didn't get to replay it as the celebration took over.

Did anyone catch the audible during the match, just after Cena hit the Artitude Adjustment and went immediately for the quick pin, with Bryan kicking out at 2? HHH sounded like he was chastising Cena for pinning so quickly and hurting his move, and Cena replied with something like, "What can I say? I like the kid."

Aha! That is what they said, I caught the last part but didn't know what the exact exchange was.

I loved the audible where Punk punched Brock in the balls and said "Thanks for the advice Nature Boy!"

Some people are speculating that Del Rio will face this man at Night of Champions:

I think this will be the case, Del Rio's promo last night about him representing Mexico had me expecting Rey to come out then and there.

Why?

That ending was absolute GOLD.

Daniel Bryan went over John Cena CLEAN, WITHOUT any shenanigans from Triple H or Vince McMahon. Daniel Bryan got his huge win.

Randy Orton cashed in, turning heel, something that he has needed to do for awhile now.

Triple H also cashed in, where he is better.

And for all those whining about "part timers", Triple H kept himself out of everything, and it wasn't about him. It was about the belt, about Cena v. Daniel Bryan, about Daniel Bryan's victory, and then about getting Orton over as a heel.

That main event was great storyline that did everything that everyone in this thread wanted it to do, which was get Daniel Bryan over and get Orton heel.

That ending could not have possibly been done any better.

This wont happen very often so mark it down fellas.....I agree with you Nell 100%, I just wanted Bryan and Cena to have their match clean, which they did. The fact everyone is so pissed off is EXACTLY why having Orton cash-in made sense as it cements Orton's heel turn.

Summerslam was awesome and when WWE is on that form they are untouchable, NJPW, NOAH, ROH, PWG and every Japanese and Indie promotion in-between.....I got 2 words for ya!.....Take it home Nell, I'm out.
