A top WWE source has confirmed that recently signed women's wrestler, Sara Del Rey, was signed for a number of reasons. Del Rey is an established women's worker who really loves the business, and the WWE is looking for more females who are not the typical bikini models. This is WWE's answer for countering former Diva's like Maxine, Kelly Kelly, and The Bella Twins leaving.

Also, Sara Del Rey is expected to have a big role in the training and development of other Divas. At 32 years old, this is a great sign that the WWE is focusing on rebuilding the lackluster division over hiring young models.

Del Rey has two more independant bookings, that will conclude mid-August. After those dates, she is expected to be on the fast track to the main roster.

If true...GREAT DECISION.

It doesn't hurt that Sara's trainer is supposedly well liked backstage either. I really hope this is true.

Those are some good suggestions. It's mind boggling that they aren't trying harder to elevate new stars. Punk , Bryan , and Sheamus all deserve the support. Also there's a few names that should be in the mix around that time.

It's amazing that they can't see how damaging this nostalgia obsession is. In the past nostalgia based matches or special attractions were merely a cool addition to a Mania, not the central focus.

Glad they're ok. I just watched the new episode. [BLACKOUT]John Morrison[/BLACKOUT] has a cameo:awesome:

Hope he's on his way back! :D Ziggler and Ryder want to work each other at Mania?

I've watched bits and pieces of SHIMMER over the years but I had never gotten any of their shows. I just got SHIMMER vol 1 & 2 and I'm watching vol 1 right now, but I had to pause it to talk about Cheerleader Melissa vs MisChif

Wow...just wow. The level of intensify in the this match was through the freaking roof. The psychology and selling was great, and there was this sick subdivision spot on the guard rail.

I marked out for this match.

I've watched the last few Shimmer shows and it's good, grass roots pro wrestling. I'm surprised TNA let Melissa go, she's got a good luck and is a strong performer.

Real shame, this is why she was let go by WWE. In the recent Shimmer shows I watched I felt her and Portia Perez had the best shot at WWE or TNA, but if she can't get her personal **** together it'll never happen.

Wow......

Who would like to see this feud go down after Money In The Bank?

I think this is the likely next big feud for the Divas division now Kharma is gone.

I may be jumping the gun but this has Triple H's fingerprints all over it IMO.

Is Kharma gone for certain?

Also, FCW and NXT won't merge as
Rick Victor is the new FCW Champion and Seth Rollins vs. Jinder Mahal is for the NXT Championship.

I still don't think that SDR will be used correctly in the WWE, even if she is going to train the divas. She's 32, which may be a bit old than most divas, but everyone's favorite diva, Layla is the oldest diva in the WWE.

Here are the ages of the WWE Divas (at least according to Wikipedia. Not counting Vickie Guerrero and Lilian Garcia. Or Kharma, who may or may not be gone):

- Layla, 35
- Tamina, 34
- Rosa Mendes, 32
- Sara Del Rey, 32
- Beth Phoenix, 31
- Aksana, 30
- Natalya, 30
- Eve, 27
- Alicia Fox, 26
- Kelly Kelly, 25
- AJ, 25
- Kaitlyn, 25
- Naomi, 24
- Cameron, 24

So WWE finally realized that Trish Stratus was a very special case and that EVERY diva you hire from a model catalog won't put in the time and effort that Trish did.

And I'm really hoping that Kharma isn't gone.

Puppet H is awesome.

That's true, but the WWE won't ever stop trying, and to be perfectly frank, I don't blame them. From a pure business perspective, finding the next Trish Stratus should be a priority at all times, because a performer that can bring all that to the table is a fantastic asset for the company.

It's too wrestling smart to be Vince's. And Finlay's back as a producer, I wonder if he'll get involved with the Women's Division again also.

One would hope because it looked good when he was in charge of it.

... why haven't I been watching Are You Serious?

The problem there is they shouldn't be looking for the next Trish Stratus they should be looking for the first "whoever" to be the next great diva. It COULD be AJ. Maybe. Who knows. Its something special but different about her that makes her appealing.

Its the same problem Vince had when he tried making the next Hulk Hogan. Didn't work for the next Hogan and it hasn't worked for next Trish either. A lot of circumstances aligned for those two to "happen" for WWE.

Well, it's still foggy. WWE still hasn't issued a statement on a release from her contract. And recently, Kharma has retweeted a couple tweets from followers that talk about hoping this is just a ruse of some kind, and she tweeted herself a "thanks for all the support but I'm not accepting bookings at this time :)", hinting that she's still under contract. Plus, when performers leave, they usually change their twitter handle back to a name that the WWE doesn't own, and they definitely own the "Kharma" name which she is still using.

Well, one has to admit, they've at least had some mild success in bringing in women with no experience and building them up. Granted, there's been more "failures" than "successes", but when you look at some of the current women like Layla and Eve, who have improved immensely in the ring and have real potential and look to be in it for a long haul with the passion to back it up. But for everyone of them, there's still a Maryse, a Bella, a Maxine, etc.

They've improved mechanically and Eve is even good on the mike but they are both still missing one thing or another. Sometimes you gotta let it just happen instead of being so concerned with following a formula. If anything I think one thing Layla and maybe Eve both had going for them is a dance background. They understand rhythm, movement, choreography, and timing which are important things in wrestling.

Eve is also pretty physical compared to most other women and enjoys athletics. From the beginning they had advantages over some women like Maryse.

Some things that are much harder to teach are psychology and the personality projection that goes into a performance. Eve understands it better than Layla but I think AJ gets it better than both of them. Its something that, no matter how much better you get at the mechanics, is still vital.

Chris Jobicho vs Sheamus on SD! Punk must feel happy, kinda like the guy that got to go first in the ********.

I imagine him returning and the signing of Del Ray are not a coincidence.

I'm sorry, but when I see Jericho, I don't exactly blame Taker or HHH (Well, Triple H I do kinda blame, actually) for overly protecting their characters from losses.

Im not sure Jericho has won one significant match since he returned.

- Thanks to Mark for sending in word that WWE announced via text message that tonight's WWE Title match at Money in the Bank between Daniel Bryan and CM Punk will be a No DQ Match. WWE Diva AJ Lee will still be the special referee. They sent out the following:

"BREAKING NEWS: Tonight’s WWE Title bout between CM Punk & Daniel Bryan, refereed by AJ, is now No DQ."

Is that a picture of paige/britani knight?

She looks so....not pale.

There's being protective and then being over-protective to the point it danages other people's character.

Looking good! She's hot, unique and can work.

Haha! Yep. :D

Paige seems like she has lost some weight
