I never found Brock interesting. He is a great worker and honestly excellent coz he looks like a monster and (at least between 2002 and 2004) he could outwork the best in ring guys too. But he really has very little personality outside of "monster" gimmick and I have found it extremely boring. I remember in 2003 when he was dominating on SD ME side and HHH on the RAW ME side, it was the most boring period I have ever seen in the WWE at the top of the card (even worse than this Jinder run) and it was only the SD Six as well as Jericho/HBK that kept me going around that time.

And yes, his current run has been awful. So much of his run has been telegraphed since he beat the streak and it has just been so so boring to watch.

I marked out big time for Andrade Cien Almas, Adam Cole (BayBay), Hurricane and Rey Mysterio in the Rumble tonight.

I had predicted Rey is going to come back to the WWE this year.

I love Adam Cole. I marked out when he came out big time. ADAM COLE BAYBAY!

Stephanie added nothing to commentary.

She felt like she wasn't really there. Like they had her lines prerecorded and just played them every so often. She had almost no emotion.

She wasn't annoying though. She was like Otunga, which is to say I didn't really notice her.

Yeah.
I tend to blend out the commentary but what i heard wasnt as bad as i expected. :D

Overall i liked the Rumble.
Everything outside the rumble matches was bad or okay, but the rumbles were great.

Nakamura was my pick, i was sure that he would win.
Reigns will get his match with lesnar either way so it doesnt really matter.
Styles vs Nakamura is too big even for the monkeys from the wwe, they couldnt keep this one down even if they tried with all their incompetence.

The womans rumble was better than expected considering that they want to break down walls without really thinking about it.
Look at the first womans MITB match for example.
They need to stop breaking walls down when they are not able to build good on those broken walls afterwards.
The First woman rumble doesnt help if the storys that follow are crap.
Tell good storys with the woman AND break down walls.
Asuka as winner was a no brainer.
They have cornered themself with her "streak" and i dont think you can end it in a good way.
But even they knew that her first loss cant come at the royal rumble.

Rousey will be a full time Wrestler? I expected something like a goldberg or The Rock kind of contract...but full time? Wow.
If she is as good as Baszler in the ring then i dont see a problem, but we need to see first what she can do.

As for the Triple Threat match.
Hold Strowman back another 2-3 times and even the Marks wont stand behind him.
Either pull the trigger or make clear that its not happening.
Give the guy the title or destroy his standing.
This constant back and fort is going to backfire at some point.

Nice to see Nakamura get the win. I was hoping for him or Finn Balor (man, I don't know what Balor did to fall so far out of grace).

Really think it's time for the Usos to go from the champs to the hunters for a bit.

Stroman needs the belt. Otherwise, his "Monster Among Men" deal will start to wear thin if he keeps coming up short.

Asuka winning the rumble...yawn. Rousey in the WWE...yawn. I know most will disagree with me, but i'm not a fan of "undefeated streaks" or UFC folks rocketed to the top of the card over superstars who've been there and toiled to get to their "spot".

-The Men and Women's Rumbles were both good (the latter exceeded my expectations actually, and quite a few of those returning legends look like they haven't lost a step). Also two Asian winners, wow that's a first for WWE.

-Nakamura vs. AJ at Mania, YES PLEASE!!!!

-The UT match was boring, and incredibly predictable. Literally no surprises there.

-I've got no problem with Ronda being there, but they did kind of step on Asuka's moment a bit. Also a full-time contract, that's a bit surprising.

I don't know if I would say this was an all-time best rumble, but certainly best one in years.

Rousey will fissle out fast She is coming off 2 career ending KO's her fan base is not what is used to be and her mic skills don't exist unless they put her with Brock and Heyman for Heyman can cut heel promos for her then it's a wrap

and she'll probably be atrocious in the ring too

loved Seeing Trish and Molly and both look like they can still compete full time

Sasha Banks was looking terrible with some of her kicks in the corners look at the replays she was kicking air EVERY TIME

Brock really swung at Strowman I bet Brock won't approve any more matches with that guy

lets see how Rousey adjusts to WWE

I do think we (as fans) will be more appreciative of her than MMA fans though

I don't know why, but I was surprised at how much taller Sasha was than Trish Stratus.

I don't know about that. He was in the rumble for a long, long time.

I would have preferred Balor, but I'm glad someone won other than boring/safe/Vince approved choices like Cena, Orton, or Reigns.

and as someone who's half-Asian, I was very pleased that we got not one but TWO Asians winning the 2 RRs.

and my problem with Brock as champ is that he's largely a part-time, absentee, special attraction champ. He only shows up for promos and staredowns, with most of those involving Heyman as his mouthpiece. Heyman is certainly an asset to Brock, but that means Brock doesn't even do the heavylifting of the promos himself. And when he does wrestle, it's only during the PPV main events.

Say what you will about Reigns, but he works the matches, promos, and storylines week in and week out.

They had to have a comedy bit in the Women's Royal Rumble and I am glad they went with Vickie Guerrero for that instead of James Ellsworth or Santina.

Shinsuke winning was great, but my favorite part of the whole show was Hurricane coming out. He's in my Boy stable.
