The Observer and PW Torch are both reporting that ROH's parent company, Sinclair Broadcast Group, are indeed interested in buying TNA.
Mostly because they need content to put on their new American Sports Network, which is what they are in the process of rebranding Tennis Channel to (they recently bought Tennis Channel for 300 million dollars).
If this happens it could be huge. Think of it. Merge the rosters, unify the titles, ROH assumes TNA's international TV deals, fire everybody involved with TNA's business or creative sides.
In unrelated news, ROH COO recently appeared on JR's podcast and had this to say (paraphrasing)
-ROH currently in talks for another new national TV partner in the US
-ROH also currently in talks for a UK TV deal
-Women of Honor matches are doing very well on YouTube
-ROH would be "open" to a working relationship with WWE but haven't actively been seeking it out and don't know if WWE would even be interested
-Would also be interested in working with "other" promotions (doesn't name any)
-Would also consider putting ROH TV on WWE Network, if WWE paid to license it
What an exciting time to be a wrestling fan.
