look at Scotty with his tie and glasses all responsible like
good for him he found something like that
Black Lotus lied about the true nature of the original Dragon Azteca's death to Dragon Azteca Jr. It will be interesting to see which side she is really on here.
Can't wait for Matanza vs Mil Muertes next week!
Really fun trios main event. I'm pretty impressed with Dragon Azteca Jr and I expect him to take Puma's spot in a possible season 4 if Ricochet signs with WWE. I certainly hope we go beyond season 3 but lets cross that bridge when we get there I suppose.
Nobody or nothing can save TNA now, I wish Vince would just buy them out for the archival library to add to the wwe network. He'd get archival footage of guys like Christian, Kurt Angle, Sting,The Dudleys and gets footage of guys like AJ Styles and Samoa Joe to highligh. Plus it opens up some more free-agents for potential NXT scouting.
Rise and Fall of TNA, Best Of.. documentaries would be fantastic too.

I have to check out NXT later today but nobody has thoughts about last night's LU episode? Am I the only one on here who sees that show every week?
Steroids played a big part in it too.Good point, there was a much different style.
Still, it's crazy to see just how many of the big names from the 80's and early 90's are dead now. I don't have all the info at hand or off the top of my head, but didn't most of the guys die from heart attacks or heart failures. I wonder if it was the mix of the workload and use of painkillers (possible abuse) that contributed to it. I'm still shocked that Hogan has outlasted just about all of them though.
They did this with the brand extension, and thats why we see more injuries now than then, The talent had more time off, because all the top guys didn't do every house show. It was split. When they ended the brand split, and unified everything again, here comes the injuries.Yep. The modern style of wrestling is different.
Wrestlers are a lot more athletic these days and there are a lot more bumps.
WWE needs to think of about lighting the schedule. Rotate the wrestlers at house shows more. I get that everyone wants to see the top guys at the house shows all the time but it is unfeasible.
Not saying a brand split is feasible, just saying that is why the injuries are bigger, because the end of the brand split increased the workload. Are there even enough talent to warrant a Brand Split?
If anything, WWE could use an offseason.

We're getting good stuff out of second character development, such as Famous B. Those infomercial skits have been great.Dario Cueto loves screwing with bitter rivals by putting them in the same trio.
Killshot vs Argenis was a good match and I love that Killshot has new gear to go with the backstory LU laid out, while some take issue with retroactively giving Killshot depth he "should" have had in season one, I don't see an issue because LU has a limited amount of episodes with it's format unlike WWE, TNA, and ROH so it's understandable.
It was great that they established Texano and Daga's past as well, so it makes his loss not seem as bad given their history with each other.Daga's debut against Texano was pretty good. I think LU's logic for having guys lose their debut matches is to subvert expectations as well as establish that it's hard to come in as an outsider and start winning in The Temple immediately, unless you're a supernatural being. There are good arguments for or against this, but LU clearly wants to establish that new guys typically shouldn't come in and dominate and win titles, particularly WWE guys. More thoughts in a bit.
Yup, its one of the reasons.
I say it since many years now that they should reduce the houseshows a bit more.
Houseshows were meant to promote a wrestling promotion(i think)
But with the internet and all that, you dont need this so much.
Taking away at least 20-30 shows over the year could help a lot.
You need to remember that the body needs time to rest and recover.
Traveling around in a bus, plane isnt recovering and resting.
Especially with the style they have nowadays, the body of a wrestler is a lot more exhaust.
House shows are still a good source of revenue for WWE. Unfortunately, it's because of the brand split that they run so many. Now, aside from the revenue, it's their way of testing gimmicks, having guys that don't get TV time on shows, and most importantly, having wrestlers work each other for chemistry leading up to a PPV match.Back in the 1980s and earlier, house shows were actually a large share of the WWF/WWE's revenue; it was actually TV that was basically a loss leader that was used to promote house shows, not the other way around.
I believe an off-season rotation or at least having guys work less dates per month would be beneficial. Like if they're a big asset to TV, then they either just make an appearance or have a short match in order to keep them healthy.Unfortunately, I suspect that reducing house shows actually hurts the guys lower on the card, the ones who are only sporadically on the big two shows and PPVs, because the house shows are really the only consistent ringtime they get.
I agree that the pro wrestling community, including the companies as well as us the fans, need to do something to look after our guys better. Staggered off seasons, for individual wrestlers rather than the promotion as a whole, written into standard contracts would be a good start. I really think we as smark fans need to stop demanding more daring and cool-looking moves too; I am thinking back to the mini-debate we had a few threads ago about the Style Clash, for instance.

I want this to happen so much.

TNA never really rose though. Surely it would be The Middling Existence and Fall of TNA.
