Came across this. The 'Big Eagle' doesn't look too bad on Shawn at all, does it?... :cwink:

It's funny how Triple H has to get his win back vs. Brock while Punk getting his win back against Triple H isn't even in the cards.:whatever:

It looked great on everybody I think. I love that belt. The new belt has grown on me but that and the winged eagle are my favorite.

What's funny is that they aired a pre-recorded backstage segment of Hogan wearing the old 'Hogan 86' title belt before the match, and then when he walked through the curtain he was wearing the Winged Eagle. :D

I agree. I'm a big fan of the Winged Eagle, but the Big Eagle is my personal favourite.

WWE has taken down all videos of the first appearance of the Big Eagle Championship from YouTube.

First appearance of the Undisputed Eagle Championship: [YT]ZP9W3iaW9Og[/YT]

Heh, I've seen pictures of the Undisputed Championship Belt just after it had been completed, and the name tag it was bearing was 'Chris Jericho'. I wonder if Helmsley had anything to do with holding off the introduction and presentation of the new belt until he'd become the undisputed champion. :o

Btw, can we scrap posting the introductions of the 'Spinner' and the 'Big Logo', those are best trying to be forgotten about.. :o :oldrazz:

With Vince gone in the future how will people think WWE will go?
Trips has an ego just as big so we still might see another dictatorship that please's himself more than the public that pays his bills.

I think Triple H knows how to continue from where WWE stands, but he's not a visionary like Vince McMahon. I don't see Triple H turning the business on it's head or doing anything extraordinary. He should be able to keep the WWE on the right path though.

- Currently The Rock is not scheduled to appear at this Monday's episode of Raw at the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, PA. Rock is scheduled for the next three Raw's after that, which includes the post-WrestleMania Raw on April 8th from the Izod Center in East Rutherford, NJ.

Well at least he plans to show up for the feud at some point. :cmad:

Who else remembers this guy? :o

:funny: I can't believe I never saw that.

Following WWE's addition of the brand new Payback pay-per-view scheduled for this June, the following is an updated PPV schedules for the remainder of 2013:

Two in October.

I don't understand why that would even be necessary. Does it make sense financially? I haven't looked at the buyrates , but you would assume one will do low numbers or both will be mediocre.

With all the dastardly things Punk did on Monday there's no way he's beating The Streak. Hell, there's no way he does a face turn, there's no way Undertaker puts him over with a handshake or a HHH/HBK match, Punk is gonna get destroyed.

I can't foresee a handshake after last Monday either. This feud will be about Undertaker trying to get his hands on Punk to destroy him. I guess Punk will lose , Undertaker will ride off into the sunset , Rock will ride back to Hollywood , and we'll get Cena vs Punk at Extreme Rules.

Wasn't it nice when WWE titles had an aura of dignity and class about them? Now we get bling, butterflies, and pennies.

My line-up

January - Royal Rumble
February - No Way Out (using Elimination Chamber)
March - Wrestlemania
April - Backlash (using Extreme Rules)
May - Over The Limit
June - King Of The Ring
July - Money In The Bank (the night of champions theme can be used here)
August - SummerSlam
September - Unforgiven
October - No Mercy
November - Survivor Series
December - Armageddon

Re: The end of CM Punk's Title Reign

Because of 498,000 buyrates. That's why!

Re: Title Lineage

WWF World Heavyweight Title - ??? - 1988

Winged Eagle - 1988 - 1998

Smoking Skull - mid 1998 then mid 1999

Gold Eagle - 1998 - 2002

"Undisputed" - 2002 - 2005

Spinner (Then Non) - 2005 - 2012

Pride - 2012 - hopefully 2022

Vince's problem is he's been hanging onto the same formula for almost the past 30 years with the "family friendly big guy sells more" mentality. I think Hunter will try something different.

Are these your reviews?

Yeah.

Random thought, but when Brock Lesnar was champion I wish he had the Winged Eagle belt. It would have been amazing see him hold up the Winged Eagled belt at the top of the cell.

Maybe more guys like Punk and DBryan, the more everyman who has skills, not just guys with a huge frame.

Punk really needs to take some time off, he was has been iffy for a while

There was some sort of injury to CM Punk during the No DQ match with Kane at Monday's RAW. When Punk was down after a bad spill, the cameras cut away but referee Mike Chioda threw up the "X" symbol and a trainer came down to look at Punk. A few more times during the match, Chioda called for a trainer to come down but Punk ended up finishing the match.

WWE NXT wrestler Jake Carter, who has features similar to The Miz, also shares the same name as Miz's character in The Marine 3. No word yet if this will still happen but there was a plan last year to create a Jake Carter character in developmental that would eventually move up to the WWE main roster and feud with The Miz once the movie came out. Carter is the son of WWE Legend Vader.

Jessie White looks more like Miz than Miz does.

Make it a Purple Rose of Cairo situation here, blow everyone's minds.

So if I haven't been actively watching wrestling since like 2008-2009, is there any point in me trying to get back into Raw now? Grew up obsessed from the 80s-2002ish, then took a bit of a break for a couple years. Back in the mid-2000s, I was watching Raw, some SD, and TNA, as well as trying to check out other stuff online as well as the occasional ppv. Eventually it just slipped into being Raw. Then nothing. My friend is talking about getting Wrestlemania, and while I will definitely watch that for the guys I know and love (Undertaker, Punk, Lesnar, The Rock, Triple-H to a certain extent), I feel like I really need to talk myself into watching Raw leading back into it. The last I watched was Raw 1000, just for old time's sake, and I fast forwarded through a lot of the new guys.
