Who Am I, A Lowly Peasant, to Question the Wrestling Thread?!

Seems like too much for it to work in 2014. Here's hoping he can reunite with Dean Ambrose when he eventually makes it to the main roster.

Well I have faith that Callihan will be in able to atleast get it over in NXT since he likely pitched the idea. Plus it's definitely something different from the norm in wrestling.
It's like he's a combo of Raven/Taker and Anonymous lol.

As for Kalisto thoughts on what you have seen on his mannerisms?

Well, he's connecting with the audience about the same way he did in his short run in PWG which is a plus because guys always show off personality in a PWG environment.

Honestly I think he'll prove to be a better investment than Sin Cara and Del Rio combined if they handle this properly.

P.S They ruined ADR the second they decided to unmask him IMHO

He can speak English and wrestle a variety of different match types so he has that over Sin Cara LOL.

He can cut an okay promo if he needs to as well. He'll get further than Sin Cara.

Amen though I would love to see Kalisto have a feud with another luchador that tops the wars Rey Mysterio had with Psicosis back in the day.

Maybe he'll be able to pull matches like that out of Hunico-Sin Cara or even ADR as start up feuds for the main roster.

God, I love the crowd interactions in PWG.

Hunicara will be a much better Sin Cara if they keep him in that gimmick.

My only gripe with Hunico is that he's not the best flyer. He's a good worker but he doesn't provide oooooooh and ahhhhhh moments like Rey used to.

Well Rey was a ninja lol. But Hunicara is better than Botchcara, and he speaks English so that's a plus. Rey was an anomaly it will be difficult to try to replicate a character like him.

Not wrestling related, but I just found this awesome. And you will too, if you like Star Wars and/or Queen

Two of my favorite things. But the Muppets did it better.

Kalisto might be the guy to really take Rey's spot. He seems like a better fit than Huncara in my opinion.

- A.J. Styles appears to be departing from TNA for the first time since the company's formation in 2002. Styles' current contract extension expires on the 16th of the month and he will be a free agent after that; he has already begun taking independent bookings.

Styles and TNA reportedly couldn't come to terms on money; with the company trying to cut costs, the two sides have had a wide gulf in the amount of money they wanted the deal to be for and despite the two-month extension signed in October, they were unable to work things out. TNA was unable to offer Styles what he had been making and Styles, who felt he was a big part of the company and its brand, wouldn't agree to a lesser deal.

The departure of Styles has reportedly "sent a bad signal" to other TNA originals who have deals coming up; the message is that the company will lose their originals if they can't make a deal fit their financial requirements. Styles is moving forward with outside projects such as his autobiography and his participation in a speaking tour of the UK next year.

El Generico could've taken Rey's spot had they let him use the gimmick, but Kalisto is definitely a strong second.

Agreed plus I want more masks in the main product. Cara is still selling Merch but Kalisto can potentially do that and more. I hope we can see some epic Mask matches between Kalisto/Mysterio and Kalisto/HunCara.

The next Developmental Guest trainer is likely going to be him for a week.

It would be AWESOME if Styles really does leave TNA as the reigning champion. That nonsense where Hogan left and Dixie crawled on the floor begging him not to leave made the company look pathetic...having it basically happen again would just be hilarious.

AJ STYLES LEAVING TNA
by Mike Johnson @ 8:07 PM on 12/8/2013

Unless something changes over the next few days, AJ Styles will be leaving TNA for the first time since the company was founded in 2002 next week. Styles' current contract extension expires on 12/16, PWInsider.com has confirmed. As of 12/17, he is a free agent and has already begun to accept independent bookings via his long-time agent Bill Behrens at [email protected].

As PWInsider.com has reported for months, Styles and TNA have been far apart on money. The two sides did not really begin negotiating until Styles' last long-term deal was close to expiring and signed a two month extension in order to continue working together while they attempted to seal a new deal.

Unfortunately, the two sides just couldn't make a deal happen. We have heard that it was a situation where TNA just wasn't able to offer Styles what he had been earning and he, feeling correctly that he had been a big part of the heart and soul of the company, would not agree to take a lesser deal. The situation put both sides in between a rock and a hard place, leading to the breakdown between sides.

In a lot of ways, Styles' exit has sent a bad signal to other TNA "originals" who have deals coming up as the message being sent is that the company, which has been cutting corners, will play hardball financially even at the cost of losing their own homegrown players. Styles was one of the company's legitimate main eventers who had been been with the company as it evolved and matured, becoming the centerpiece for the X-Division before evolving into a legitimate main eventer. While he wasn't the draw that Sting was during Sting's heyday in WCW, Styles was very similar to Sting in that he was closely branded as a TNA star and as someone who was loyal to the company - just as Sting was when World Championship Wrestling existed.

Styles officially finished up with the company last week at the Impact tapings in Orlando, Florida with appearances for episodes that will air in early 2014.

Styles is already moving forward with outside projects. He has an autobiography set to be released in the first quarter of 2014 and will be making an appearance next year as part of a talking tour in the UK. Initial dates for that tour had been announced but the tour will be pushed back as Diamond Dallas Page had already scheduled a similar tour for the same time period and the decision was made that it wasn't right to compete with something already scheduled.

All I have to say is screw TNA! They paid Hulk and EB obscene amounts of money to be in the same place ratings wise, but now financially burdened to the point they won't even pay their most loyal guy on the roster money he deserves.

It really shows you how badly Dixie's ego and priorities have gotten. She willfully spent all kinds of money at the behest of Hulk and EB despite all of the red flags and slaps to the face by the two, and in the process has made herself a focal point on TV, all the while she will not give money to a guy who killed himself for the company and was one of their few true homegrown stars.

I know he is not one for politics, but I hope a guy like Sting, who is tight with Styles, speaks up for him and lets it be known to Dixie that she should give him his money.

Jeff Hardy vs Daniel Bryan/Dolph Ziggler and the SHIELD would be great,I want to see Reigns spear the crap out of him!

I got a feeling he's gonna be a surprise entrant in the royal rumble.

Agreed. Given the rut that they're in right now losing a THEIR GUY in AJ Styles would be a devastating blow to them.

Losing Hardy AND Styles would be darn near a deathblow for them.
