Eh, there's an argument either side, but the thing that hurt it was the fact his title match went on first, the Rumble winner was the event's curtain jerker.

Now this I agree was a big mistake. The rumble winner should either be in the main event or the semi main event.

rumble winner should be a top star or upcoming star to ascend to the main event scene

whats the point if you are gonna lose

its like having mitb winner lose his cash in

Having the rumble winner be a top star kills all the drama of the match (which has happened a lot in recent years). The entire point of the match is the idea that ANYBODY can win. Even it's not true that illusion should still be there.

And making it so that the winner of the rumble ALWAYS wins the title also takes the drama out fo the match because then fans expect them to win it. The lack of unpredictability is what's been hurting WWE in recent years.

Mark Henry getting the title with the way he's been pushed as an unstoppable beast is a smart move and good to see it happen.

The ending of their match last night was my favorite part of the show.

Just saw this, just stop Nell, you got blasted for the stuff you were saying about Punk when all your favs do the same, and it finally came out that it was your "IWC" hatred in full effect, which baffles me since YOU are part of the IWC.

EVERYONE agreed from the moment the match was made that Triple H had to win to keep the angle going.

I explained why my favorites don't do the same, and why their angles work for me. It was you that decided that wasn't good enough and proceeded to insult me and my opinions because I'm not proclaiming CM Punk as the greatest thing to happen to wrestling.

The ending of their match last night was my favorite part of the show.

Mine too.

I still trying to think of the last time a heel won a world title clean like that. The build up for the match was perfect. It wasn't about some quickly manufactured personal issue between the two, Mark didn't get his title shot just by demanding it or jumping Orton backstage, Orton retaining the title was put in doubt early on.

The ONLY problem I have with it was how they kept trying to play up that it might not be physically possibly for Orton to RKO Henry. We saw Orton RKO Henry earlier this year......then he did a dance routine.

no, 99% agreed with you about HHH going over, what people disagreed(not blasted) was that fact that you seem to have blinkers on when it comes to guys like HHH and the rock in that neither can do any wrong, past present or future.

I never said they could do no wrong. That's just the image people want to paint because I like those guys better than Punk.

And I've stated many times I don't give a crap about Triple H's behind the scenes garbage, because I don't watch wrestling for what happens behind the scenes, I watch for what happens on camera. Triple H entertains me on screen.

Triple H, Rock, and Miz are entertaining to me, while CM Punk is getting stale to me. And everyone had to have a fit about that, going on their tangents about how it's "hypocritical", even though I expressed why Miz works for me and Punk doesn't. But that wasn't good enough for anyone. Everyone still had to go on and on about how my opinion is invalid, and personally insult me.

From Beth's promo last night posted on WWE.COM, I don't think that her feud with Double K is over yet.

I still think they all believe that the WWE Universe has the attention span of that guy from memento.

Around when did you stop watching wrestling? I remember you saying it before but I can't remember the exact year you said you stopped watching regularly

Reminder: Hugh Jackman is on Raw tonight.

*waits for an appearance by Santino as Wolverine*

As noted before, WWE has signed former Ring of Honor star Claudio Castagnoli to a developmental deal and he is now working as Antonio Cesaro in FCW.

This has led to speculation about the status of Claudio’s partner Chris Hero. Word is that Hero is still going through the long process of signing a contract. Claudio happened to finish his paperwork and medical clearance ahead of Hero, so he’s began working for WWE already.

Hero is still on WWE’s radar, just going through the signing process. His debut in FCW will most likely happen soon, unless something comes up.

- On a related note, independent women’s wrestler Britani Knight is reportedly beginning with FCW soon under her WWE developmental deal. Knight is currently finishing up independent bookings. She will be appearing at the SHIMMER tapings in early October.

Knight has received several WWE tryouts in the UK over the years and was reported to have signed a deal in April of this year but released a statement online denying it. The 18 year old is from the UK’s famous Knight wrestling family. No word yet when she will debut for FCW but it will be before the end of the year.

Gotta wonder how Orton felt on a night he did a clean job for Mark Henry, watching Triple H give and take so much with Punk in the kind of wild brawl they should have had at Wrestlemania 25, and how Punk was protected so heavily in comparison to him.

Probably not to good (about HHH) since working with him did nothing for Orton and anything Orton accomplished was in SPITE of HHH. Punks been well protected while Orton got fed to the King of Noses, his 40 year old brother in law, and his senior citizen father in law. Thats got to sting since everyone there has always acted like Orton was one of the golden boys. I can understand if it was the younger Orton who needed his ego in check but by WM25 he seems to have had his life straightened out and was working hard.

Makes me understand why Edge ASKED to go to Smackdown when HHH came back from his last wheel blowout :funny:

It was nice to see BatOrton do a CLEAN job to a guy who who has been working hard to get better over the last few years and technically has seniority over him. Its not something HHH is particularly known for.

Certainly shouldn't be jerking the curtain. Del Rio was a good pick to win the Rumble but they've dropped the ball on him repeatedly. Its like they can't figure out how to make a star unless said talent threatens to walk out when his contract is up.

What about when your boy HHH brings the behind the scenes stuff onto the tv show? Not sure the world cared to hear jokes about Masters wellness violation or his thoughts that the Spirit Squad needed to go back too OVW...a place most people probably knew jack sh* about.

Next time he does it I await your *****ing against HHH (which won't happen).

HHH's politics take the very unpredictability out of the show that can make it fantastic. If you claim to watch just for the entertainment value then that alone should show you how stupid his politicking is. Over the years we've ALL had a pretty good idea of whether or not HHH would win during a match and he usually did.

As for Miz and HHH and Rock vs Punk: They've been saying the same old stale stuff longer than Punk has. You're excuse doesn't hold water as far as being equally fair to each talent.

You can like whoever you want but when you make up some bs excuse for HHH while ripping into Punk then don't expect someone to call a foul.

Triple H has been doing mostly the same old tired sh** for the last 12 years. its working with Punk thats made him interesting again.

The following was issued on WWE.com:

In the new film, "The Muppets," the crew is on a mission to save the Muppet Theater from demolition. But before that, they'll have to save themselves from our Superstars!

the Muppets are part of the Conspiracy!!! :wow:

When did you get blasted for saying HHH should win the match?

When have I gotten blasted?

As far as going at me about Triple H going over Punk:
http://forums.superherohype.com/showpost.php?p=21391379&postcount=865

^ But you know what, I'll concede. People didn't take shots at me for saying Triple H needed to go over. That was pretty tame. I just find it funny that people get on me about complaining about booking when that's all anyone in this thread ever does. And they call me a hypocrite.

But I will add this:
http://forums.superherohype.com/showpost.php?p=21342839&postcount=65

IncredibleSK said he was ready to just agree to disagree and move on, and Hunter couldn't let it go because god forbid someone not love everything Punk is doing (Wait... isn't that what everyone is getting on me for... that supposedly Rock and Triple H and Miz can "do no wrong"... and yet that's the exact same mentality around here regarding CM Punk, that he can do no wrong... and I'm the hypocrite...)

So basically, what I've discovered here is that it's okay to think a guy can do no wrong... as long as it's CM Punk. If it's someone else, then you're a hypocrite and your opinion is invalid.:up::up:

Around when did you stop watching wrestling? I remember you saying it before but I can't remember the exact year you said you stopped watching regularly

I think it was 2002. I think it was around whatever Wrestlemania that was. Triple H had won the Royal Rumble, the roster split was in full effect, and it just wasn't as good anymore.

I started watching again in 2008. I started watching again around that Wrestlemania, I remember the build up for Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels, Big Show vs. Floyd Mayweather.

Ya gotta admit that Travolta pic was a little funny.

and just when you thought the whole RAW "guest-host" deal was over.......

I'm calling it now. Truth and Miz vs Hawk and Animal

So Nell you missed Triple H's hogging of the main event from 03-06ish, that was when he was at his worst for holding talented guys back. John Cena was able to slip past him by rising up on Smackdown otherwise he only let Batista get over.

Truth needs to go against Gonzo in an "official televised debate."
