^yeah but he is making us title a joke no one takes him serious

kind of wish morrison came back to atleast make the us title credible

Man, those were some of my favorite shows to watch. I still have one on tape somewhere that ended with a Bret Hart/Mr. Perfect time limit draw.

I'd lvoe to see that match, was this from Bret's 1990 singles test run or his 91 singles IC title push?

Holy ****, I remember this! This was so friggin' awesome when I was a kid.

The brief cuts to close up face shots of Hogan and Warrior are a weird choice, as is Warrior in street clothes mixed with face paint, but I loved the way the two glorious title belts were placed with such importance.

It was also funny the way Hogan quietly said "Sign" affter Warriors ramble, as if he was really reminding him as this was the 64th take they'd done. :funny:

Brock has become a bigger star since leaving WWE. I think a lot of us hoped for a return but never fully expected it. It's kind of a dream come true and almost as exciting as when the Rock came back.

Now there's less than a handful of returns I'd mark out for ... Stone Cold , Kurt Angle, and Jeff Hardy

I just hope Brock does a promo that acknowledges he walked out on the company. He is in it for the money. I'm ok with that if he performs on an entertaining level but it seems silly if he just ignores the fact.

I had a feeling that once he quit UFC he'd be back in WWE but I only thought he'd sign on for a handful of appearances or a one off at Wrestlemania not 35 appearances across one year. Thats surprising.

HOLY ****!!!!

Does this mean what I think it does?

lmao at first comment : YES!YES!YES!
Owen deserves to go in but hopefully WWE and Martha Hart work out something. It would be a kind a a d*** move if Vince put Owen in and his wife and kids were against it. Maybe if WWE promised to give ALL the revenue from a DVD to charity or something?

As much as I love Owen can we PLEASE get Randy Savage in the HOF first though?

I think Pringle even said he idolized Heenan and asked him if he could base his character on Bobby. Bobby told him to just be himself more.

Got to watch that Taker vs Brody match. Taker must have been fresh in the business then.

Ah the old MSG network show, there was a great Hart/Stamboat match from that on his DVD. Looking at that 6 man the Dragon had a lot of work to do I imagine. :D
Savage and Piper carried their end but it broke down into an out of control brawl for a while. Since it was supposedly Roddy's "last" show in The Garden the match came down to Savage vs Piper...which was great.

I think all the combos if the Mega Powers were in their prime of course, would gel well, and the fans would feel like they were getting multiple dream matches in one go lol.
There was a pretty small window where Savage could have faced HHH in WCW but I don't think he ever did. I'm sure HHH would have loved to have worked him.

Yeah, the booking around him in that run sold him as the old legend still waving the flag, and the lossess only seemed to generate greater support for him, it was like an old rock group going on a farewell tour.

I remember when Hogan faced Lesnar Heyman is SCREAMING on the outside "He's different, Brock! He's different! He's not like the rest!"

"Alpha! Recruit a team of Aldo Montoyas with attitude!"

JACK TUNNEY! Having an unbiased official always made the "sport" aspect seem more legitimate. Thats why I'm tired of heel authority figures.

The Hogan world title match contract signings always seemed more legit and like a big deal. They usually did them in an office. Ted Turner showing up to preside over the Hogan/Flair Starrcade contract signing made it seem like a REALLY big deal.

Back to Hogan/Warrior: them showing up in their gear (or on Warriors case his facepaint) was pretty funny though.

I'm not sure what Warrior was saying half the time but it was awesome. :funny: I love how Warrior paints it as a transcendental battle. He sure made the clash seem epic.

"Intercontinental championship OF THE WORLD!" :lmao:

Hey guys. Daniel Bryan tweeted this last night:

The people have spoken, and @wweshop has listened. The #YesYesYes shirt may be out as soon as monday. *Will keep you guys updated.

That's awesome!

Out of interest, if by some miraculous occurence the powers that be decide to change the 'Spinner' belt, what would everybody like to see it replaced with? Be it a more classical/past design, or something new altogether?

While my favourite belt design ever is the 'Attitude Era' WWE Championship, I feel it would probably feel out of the place in the new era, as it's appearance (that being big, bold and extravagant in it's design) really reflected the era it was made for, more than being a reflection across the whole spectrum.

Therefore I'd probably go with a more classical/past design, such as the Late 80's to Early to Mid 90's 'Winged Eagle' design, or the 'Undisputed' title design. Or if not those, then a completely newly designed title belt altogether.

Would be really interested to hear others views and takes on this...

Was just talking about this at work with a few friends and they agree it should either be the 80's/90's winged eagle design or the undisputed design, but I would like to see a modern take on the winged eagle design.

I hope DBryan doesn't get pushed back to the midcards now.........

I really enjoyed his heel champion run..........sad to hear he and Sheamus only got an 18 second squash match at Wrestlemania ( doesn't make Sheamus look too good either ). :(

Honestly, I'd take anything over the spinner belt. It's such an ugly, cheesy design. I cringe every time I see the damn thing.

I hate the spinner belt, too.

I was hoping Punk would have trashed that belt and brought out a more traditional looking one.

- The following are rumored as the top matches for next year's WrestleMania 29 PPV. Remember, these are just rumored matches…

* WWE Title Match: The Rock vs. Brock Lesnar
* Steve Austin vs. CM Punk
* The Undertaker vs. John Cena

SOURCE: 411Mania

I hope not. The Rock VS Brock Lesnar could be a disastrous main event, as neither guy is likely to be around past Wrestlemania. So, you're risking a Lesnar VS Goldberg type reaction from the crowd, only in the main event slot and with the WWE Title on the line.

If The Rock and Brock Lesnar are going to be prominently featured on next year's Mania card, I'd much rather have:

- WWE Title Match: CM Punk VS The Rock
- The Undertaker VS Brock Lesnar

Sounds amazing. Imagine all that and hbk/triple h added to that? :wow:

I always loved the classic winged eagle title that Bret has in that pic.

If the card is that stacked with nostalgia acts, I can't see Austin going for it.

I hope that card is the kind of groundless rumor you tend to get in the post-Wrestlemania rush. Short term, that card might get a nice PPV buyrate boost. Long term, however, that card is terrible.

By not only putting part-time nostalgia acts in the main event, but also having two of them fight for the WWE Title, you're totally ghettoising the present-day roster in their biggest showcase of the year. It's Sting fighting Mick Foley for the TNA World Title on a much grander scale.

Of course, you can already get a "Yes! Yes! Yes!" shirt from our friends at www.Barbershopwindow.com.

A WWE spokesperson told TMZ.com that the company has reached out to former star Maven Huffman offering him help via their Wellness Policy of rehab for any former contracted talent, but it will be up to him to accept the offer. Huffman was arrested Monday on charges of using multiple doctors to obtain prescriptions for painkille

NA and SpikeTV issued the following announcement today:

SPIKE TV AND TNA ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCE MULTI-YEAR EXTENSION TO ITS STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP
The Highly-Rated “Impact Wrestling” Maintains Its Home On Spike TV On Thursday Nights

New York, NY – April 5, 2012 – Spike TV and TNA Entertainment have agreed upon a multi-year extension on their strategic partnership, maintaining Spike TV as the exclusive U.S. television home of the emerging sports-entertainment property.

The deal was announced today jointly by Kevin Kay, Spike TV President and Dixie Carter, TNA Entertainment President. TNA wrestling debuted on Spike TV in July, 2005. Over the last seven years, the ratings for TNA’s “IMPACT Wrestling” have grown from an average of 700,000 viewers at launch to nearly two million today.

“Dixie Carter and her team at TNA have done a phenomenal job in developing stars for an exciting, high-action brand that resonates with Spike’s audience,” said Kay. “We are excited to further our partnership and will continue to build and invigorate the franchise together.”

“We are thrilled that Spike TV will be IMPACT Wrestling's home for years to come,” said Carter. “The dedication that Kevin Kay and the network have shown us in building our brand is what makes this announcement even more meaningful for me. And look for some exciting things to happen on IMPACT in the near future."

TNA’s flagship series, “IMPACT Wrestling,” airs weekly on Spike TV and is one of the network’s top-rated series. The show has evolved into must-see-tv on Thursdays with young men and currently ranks among the top shows on cable in its timeslot with Men 18-34.

The roster features many of the biggest names in wrestling including Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Jeff Hardy, Kurt Angle, Booby Roode, Sting, James Storm, Rob Van Dam the lovely and lethal Knockouts.

Yeah with that proposed card, I would rather see Cena and Brock switch places. Cena beating The Rock next year for the championship is how I see it happening.

Also Taker if able will get his win back over Brock.

The question is where does this leave Punk? I dont see Austin happening if we get Cena vs Rock two. My guess would be Punk vs Triple H.

Great. Two more years of Hulk Hogan taking up 90% of screentime in TNA.
