Punk is over and i haven't seen HHH put him over like he did for Cena or Batista. Punk deserves to be put over by HHH.

CM Punk doesn't need it. Punk is already over. Beating Triple H or not is not going to change that.

If the 2 feud and Punk wins, then great. If Punk never gets the chance, then fine too.

On another note to everyone, just looking at our discussions I gotta say...wrestling is quite the complex beast, isn't it? :D

All of this talking about what makes a star, guys getting over, wins and losses...a lot of thinking goes into making it work. It really doesn't get the respect it deserves.

Has anyone else considered the possibility that the last remaining slot on Team Teddy at Wrestlemania could be taken up by The Miz? They've been running this, "Miz will do anything to get on the Mania card" story for ages now, so it could dovetail in nicely. It could either be the beginning of a face turn, or Miz could screw his team over to ensure victory for Johnny Ace, reinvigorating his heel persona.

A friend of mine said he read somewhere that that's exactly what's going to happen with Miz at Wrestlemania.

hey guys look here.

Beating HHH will cement Punk. It gives him bragging rights that could help make him even more popular. There are different levels of stardom. Get it? Its not about getting him over but getting him MORE over. Making him more popular by maximizing that win. Its something that can be exploited for years.

Why do you think Hogan beat Andre at WM III? Why do you think Warrior beat Hogan at WM VI? Why do you think Rock finally beat Austin at WM XX?

Hogan didn't need to beat Andre to be popular but it was the absolute stamp on his legacy going forward. So much so 25 year later its still seen as a HUGE deal.

Punk is popular but HHH is seen by many as a legend in the business. Punk is not that (yet). BEATING legends n be one of many stepping stones to becoming one yourself. HHH isn't some guy that loses all the time. Its rare.

Going by your logic Rock shouldn't have beat Austin at WM XX. It goes on his list of bragging rights. Rock beating Hogan and Austin back to back at WM is a HUGE deal even though he didn't "need" it. I would think anyone could look at those two wins and understand WHY they were important.

******** and you know it. punk feuding with a full on heel HHH would have gave him that final push to be the top face over the likes of cena

you really think if hogan had never beat the sheik, savage beat flair, foley beat taker or Austin never beat vince they would have been the icons they became.

there is an old saying a story is you are only as villain and the fact that and without a true heel to beat punk may be champ put for the past year his character was rarely moved forward.

if they had went as most wanted and made HHH as full heel with would have a true mania moment with punk stepping up over the corrupt boss

look nell i tried to avoid any more debates basically because they just boil down a shouting match about how everyone else is wrong, but when you make statements like the one above you do nothing but hurt what little points your arguments have

Is anyone else hoping that JR will at least call HHH/Taker and Cena/Rock at WM? The whole event would be better but I'll take those two ore no JR at all.

you mean anyone with half a brain. who the hell would want cole to be in the same state as these 2 matches

Well yeah I suppose everyone would want that lol is there much of a chance of him calling any on the show though? Vince already messed up last year with bringing him back for a few weeks then embarrassing him on screen again.

I agree. In fact, I think it would be cool if JR at least did commentary at the big pay-per-views like Wrestlemania.

And those few weeks were glorious. He did the commentary for Punk/Cena II and it made the match so much better.

Punk deserves the HHH stamp of approval just like Cena and Batista got. When HHH does the job for someone it means alot because he rarely loses, and he's taking over from Vince.

I still can't believe Trips and Steph are going to take over the show, with Shane nowhere to be seen.

I miss JR. His commentary is really a key part in helping get people over.

HHH would probably let Sheamus go over him instead of CM Punk.

Shane's destined for things so much bigger than the WWE. I think the best career move he's done is to leave the family business.

I will be interesting to see where the WWE is and where Shane is in ten years.

Doesn't Taker kind of demand that JR call his matches? Pretty sure I read that somewhere.

-- Wrestling Observer Newsletter editor Dave Meltzer revealed that TNA Wrestling is having financial difficulties as talent and vendors are frequently paid for their services on a delayed basis.

"Vendors and wrestlers are paid late all the time," he wrote on the F4WOnline.com message board. "Janice Carter controls the purse strings. Only a certain amount of money over what they bring in can be spent and it's prioritized where it goes."

Janice Carter, who is the mother of TNA Wrestling President Dixie Carter, gained complete control of the company's purse strings in 2010 reportedly as to put a stop to her daughter's lavish spending sprees after the company's financial losses were more than parent company Panda Energy International was willing to tolerate. Meltzer reported in January that Carter has set a doctrine of only allowing TNA what is "deemed necessary" in terms of funding as to keep financial losses to a minimum.

-- A photo of Mickie James kicking Gail Kim at TNA Genesis is featured on the cover of the newsstand magazine Inside Wrestling. The magazine levies criticism towards TNA having the Knockouts Division revolve around Mickie James and Gail Kim as the headline reads: "Has The Knockouts Division Become The Mickie-Gail Show? It's Time To Open Things Up - BFG Style!"

According to a new report by The Wrestling Observer, WWE is attempting to crack down on the amount of live event footage which is taken by fans and posted on sites like YouTube.

The main obstacle for WWE is that security is not allowed to take cell phones away from fans, which allows them to shoot photos and video which eventually ends up on the internet.

WWE was said to have taken an aggressive approach to remove tons of video footage from last week's live event in Montreal.

The WWE will not allow that to happen. Knowing the WWE, they will say that JR has Anal bleeding or rectal issues that prevent him from ever announcing with the WWE.

Why JR doesn't just quit and go to TNA is beyond me. What a bunch of idiots.

Of the entire family, he seems the most sound one. It just seems a shame that he won't be around, but I wish him well.

A lot of that spending probably comes from some of the road shows they did in the last year. Impact from London was a great idea but I'm not sure how successful it was financially.

But they definitely need to cut Hogan. I can only imagine how much he's getting payed. He's got to be the biggest drain on their resources thats not worth it.

As for Mickie and Gail they seem to have stopped pushing Mickie so hard lately. looks like they are using here and others to put Gail over.

I like Gail but it time to start thinking about what other babyface KO they are going to have her drop the belt to. Seems like TNA is obsessed with pushing her too long to gain off her controversial exit from WWE and return to TNA. That was fine but that heat is pretty much over now.

She's been doing good work but the KO title scene is getting stagnant. I was hoping they'd use Gail to build up to another Velvet Sky run.

That would be interesting. Personally, I don't have a problem with Barrett except for the fact that in the ring he doesn't stand out me. When he's on the mic, he's good. I think getting a new finisher would go a long way in helping him. That Wasteland slam just isn't cutting it. He should do the Angle Slam. Is Orton still using it?

Yeah, he's not the most accomplished in the ring, though in time I think he could become a good worker. He showed signs of this in the Chamber match. He's very good on the mic and I feel really helped get the Nexus over during the former part of their run before they eventually faded without a whimper at the end. Changning his finishing move would be a good *ahem* move, I agree.
