(Spoilers) WWE SmackDown Taping Results For September 12, 2014

The following are results of the WWE SmackDown television taping, which took place on Tuesday night, September 9th in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

– The Usos, Mark Henry & Big Show def. Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, Goldust & Stardust in eight-man tag-team action to open up this week’s show.

– Bo Dallas def. Justin Gabriel in singles competition. Jack Swagger was at ringside during the match, taunting Dallas as he competed against Gabriel. In the end, Bo picked up the 1-2-3 after hitting Gabriel with his “Bo-Dog” finisher.

– Paige def. Summer Rae in a non-title Divas match. Layla was at ringside during the bout. AJ Lee was on commentary. Paige picked up the win by using AJ’s “Black Widow” submission hold to force Summer to tap out.

– Mark Henry def. Rusev in the International Arm-Wrestling competition that was advertised on Monday’s “season premiere” of RAW. Rusev called for an immediate rematch, which he won when Lana threw powder in Henry’s eyes.

– Dolph Ziggler & R-Truth def. The Miz & Damien Mizdow in tag-team action. They gave this match a decent chunk of time and when all was said and done, this was said to be a pretty fun little tag-team contest.

– Roman Reigns & Chris Jericho def. Seth Rollins & Randy Orton in another solid tag-team contest. Jericho reversed an Orton draping-DDT attempt into a roll-up for the 1-2-3 for the win. This week’s SmackDown ended with Jericho and Reigns celebrating their victory.

Just read that Sean O'Haire died. 43 years old.

Sean O' Haire had lots of potential out of the Natural Born Killers and was in a great tag team with Mark Jindrak. He had a graceful version of Jeff Hardy's move called the Seanton Bomb. In WWE, he had the dark preacher gimmick and was aligned with Rowdy Roddy Piper. Retired in 2006, he did MMA, bodyguard, and ran a barber shop business until his passing. He will be missed by the wrestling community and fans. RIP

So young. I'm afraid to find out what the cause was.

-R.I.P O'Haire

-2 new episodes of Countdown and a new episode of Monday Night Wars on wwe network,Hell to the yeah but so now I wonder when WM Rewind is getting a new episode,New episodes of Legends of Wresing also needs to be produced!

:csad:

was he the one with the Widowmaker slam move?

and yeah....what's this about Hunter Rider??!!

Best thread title ever!

RIP Sean O'Haire :(

:csad:

was he the one with the Widowmaker slam move?

I don't recall. It may have been either Mark Jindrak or Chuck Palumbo.

Also, I remember he was being called the next Bill Goldberg.

Hunter stepped down in protest.

Sean O'Haire had untapped potential. WWE should have ran with the "Devil's Advocate" gimmick. RIP

The whole I'm only telling you things you already know gimmick for o haire should have been amazing

Nice title must have been something big to make hr step down.

Can someone please fill me in more on what happened to Hunter Rider? I'm assuming that y'all aren't talking about when Hunter opted out of watching WWE

WWE held its Raw “season premiere” Monday night in Baltimore, Maryland. Courtesy of a person who was backstage at the show, here is the general consensus on various segments:

* Paul Heyman was spectacular in his verbal showdown with John Cena and as always, praised as one of the all-time greats. The fact that he’s able to keep Brock Lesnar relevant even though the WWE World Heavyweight Champion is barely on television is a testament to just how good he is.

Many felt John Cena did well in the segment too, but the part where he brought up his charitable work and going as far as mentioning a veteran by name that he met that was awarded the Purple Heart. felt a bit sycophantic to some.

* Many feel Paige is being outshined by AJ Lee in their feud.

* In the birthplace of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” Baltimore, Lana ripped on the national anthem. Many feel she adds a lot to Rusev’s presentation, but it’s time for the act to evolve. The gimmick is getting a little stale.

* The Bella Twins intervention moderated by Jerry Spinger was seen as a “total trainwreck.” Many felt the twin duo’s brother, J.J., was “especially bad,” but polite backstage.

* The heated feud between the Usos and Goldust and Stardust deserves more television time.

* As if the 2-on-1 beatdown on Roman Reigns at the conclusion of Raw wasn’t enough, The Authority also had the steel cage from earlier in the night lowered. Rollins launching himself the top of the cage onto Reigns is just icing on the cake as to why so many people backstage are huge fans of his.

I'm gonna have to get myself to a Paige Meet and Greet someday.

Paige certainly isn't one of those hands off celebs

Seth Rollins has 9 lives. I swear Rollins comes close to killing himself in the ring at least once a month.

Neville got a good champ showcase. If Neville joins the main roster I would have USOs drop the tag belts to Star/Gold dust or Wyatts and have Neville team up with RVD to feud for them

You know you're a wrestling fan when you read WCW and think World Championship Wrestling instead of Woman Crush Wednesday.

- We noted earlier that Vince Russo had the following to say in an interview with Pro Wrestling Report about Spike TV not being a good partner for TNA:

“I’ve been holding this back for years and I finally get to say this. I felt like Hannibal Lecter when he was strapped in and had his mouth wired shut. Spike TV is a horrible partner. Why TNA would ever want to partner with Spike is beyond me unless there were no other options. If Spike TV were the only option to stay on television then I would understand it. They are a horrible partner, they know nothing about the wrestling business. The way they advertised and marketed the program over the years was absolutely atrocious.

I can tell you this from a position where I worked with the USA network. I worked directly with Bonnie Hammer. She was the female version of Vince McMahon. She knew what she was doing. When you had Bonnie Hammer at USA and Vince McMahon, the sky was the limit. If TNA signs another deal with Spike TV great for them. It will move along for another two years and everyone will work but the product will not grow on Spike TV. My hope for TNA is that a new network comes along and embraces TNA and gives them the time and investment to help grow the product. I can’t say this enough. TNA ON SPIKE TV WILL NEVER GROW!”

Courtesy of F4Wonline.com, below is a response from David Schwarz, the Senior Vice President of Communications with Spike TV:

“I want to start by saying we enjoyed a great relationship, a very collaborative relationship with Dixie Carter and her team over the years. We took TNA from a late night spot on Saturday nights, doing 500,000 viewers, to a two-hour time slot that did two million viewers over time. Spike went out of its way, not in just adhering to its contract, but above and beyond the contract. We paid Hulk Hogan, we paid Eric Bischoff, with our money. We financed many shows. We financed U.K. shows. We helped promote. We gave TNA a prime time slot of Thursdays from 9-11 p.m. I think his comments are way off base. Clearly, he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. He’s somebody who thinks more of himself than really exists. Vince Russo never meant anything to Spike TV. He had nothing to do with negotiations. Nobody cares about Vince Russo at Spike TV. Nobody cares or knows who he is. We have a great relationship with TNA. We went above and beyond for them, as they did for us. Dixie helped promote our shows. What Vince Russo is saying is complete nonsense.”

You know you're a wrestling fan when the only music you own related to Sting is WCW Slam Jam.

You know you're a wrestling fan when anytime someone talks about NWA, you think about Dusty Rhodes and Ric Flair instead of Dr.Dre, Eazy E and Ice Cube.
