A friend of mine recently met him. She does a lot of work with All Pro Wrestling in the Bay Area, and he did an event with them or something like that.

Also saw something on my Facebook timeline where Matt Hardy claimed to be the best heel in the world or something like that.

(Maybe it was just best heel in ROH)

At this point, The best thing to do with him would probably be to make him similar to Kurt Angle's "Wrestling Machine" persona

People always said Jack Swagger should have been booked like Kurt Angle, which made me so mad because Jack Swagger isn't even a fraction as good as Kurt Angle.

Daniel Bryan in a similar gimmick, however? Sold.

I think partially yes, but he doesn't have the look Angle has to make the full transition, plus I think his humour is part of his charm as well so I wouldn't strip that totally. To me he's like a cross between Foley, Rey and Benoit.

At this time, John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan for the WWE Title is currently scheduled to co-headline SummerSlam along with CM Punk vs Brock Lesnar.

With the real life relationships between John Cena and Nikki Bella and Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella being featured on Total Divas, the feeling is that it is very likely the company will use the girls in the angle as they build to the SummerSlam match.

Looks like they might be going the Bret Hart/British Bulldog route for this.

I think Brie w/ Bryan is a good thing. I think it will add to his new character. And as I've seen a few comparisons for him in here lately, he always reminded me of a modern day Owen Hart. Now THERE is a fantasy match I'd have loved to see Owen vs Bryan wow.

I'm betting on the Wyatt's showing at Summer Slam. Though, I hope they appear on Raw before that.

How about this as a compromise?
Allow him to be funny and use the "Yes" chants but no longer play his character off as buffoonish, and allow him to incorporate the "I have til 5 referee" and the "You're gonna get your head kicked" thing into his character as well.
