Punk was talking about wanting to retire by 2015 and the last thing he ever wanted to do was be the main event of a WrestleMania.

All signs point to the double main event for SS being Bryan/Cena and Punk/Lesnar. In that case, I'm so freaking excited to be attending by first Summerslam!! :D

Has a MITB winner ever called out the champion to the ring to be challenged? Are MITB holders allowed to do this? If so, what I want to see happening is Daniel Bryan winning MITB then immediately after calls out Cena because he wants the shot right now. With Bryan's intensity these past few weeks, it would make a lot of sense. Then I wouldn't mind him losing the cash-in as long as it develops into a storyline where he will eventually get another shot in SummerSlam and win the title there.

The closet we got was Rob Van Dam when he challenged Cena to an Extreme Rules Match at One Night Stand.

^ I would too. I guess I'm trying to reconcile her going from goddess-level hotness to normal-level hotness.

What kind of impossible standards do you have that Layla is "normal level hotness"????

I don't buy wrestling games and don't really care, I just thought the cover was a good chance to advertise the importance of a guy on your roster instead of a novelty act who pops up once a year, nothing more than an observation.

It's not WWE's choice though. It's 2K's.

I think he was just looking for a short reign that didn't last only minutes to compare with Bruno's record reign, of course he could have used Kane but I'm sure Vince preferred Rey being highlighted.

I was thinking either Kane or Foley, but since Mick had two other runs with the title aside from his one-day reign, I guess either Kane or Rey were the best options, given the context of Cena's promo.

Dammit Bryan! Dammit Otunga! Get out of the way!

I read a more detailed report of Smackdown and the theme for the MITB match is young up and comers opposed Raw's "all stars"

- Teddy Long was backstage. Vince McMahon came into the office and asked him what he was going to do about the World Title MITB match. Teddy said that while the WWE championship MITB match was all about all stars, this MITB match would be for young up-and-comers, which, just between him and Vince (even though it was on the Titantron for all to see) was something Booker T had never thought of. The participants in the World Title MITB match are Wade Barrett, Jack Swagger, Antonio Cesaro, Dean Ambrose, Fandango, Cody Rhodes, and Damien Sandow. (I hope I'm not forgetting anyone, but it was all heels.) Vince was pleased and then they argued over how to pronounce Fandango.

Exactly what I hoped for. So many great options from that lineup. [blackout]Though it would have been nice to see Big E in there too, but alas. I'm going for either Barrett or Ambrose to win.[/blackout]

If Summerslam is headlined by Cena vs Bryan and Brock vs Punk I'll have not looked forward to a PPV so much in a long time! Payback and the two Raw's that have followed have really gotten things on track, hopefully they can keep up the momentum.

If Rock doesn't work Mania I could see a few variations of the card. I mean Taker vs Brock seems very viable but it would hold zero question marks over whether the streak was in danger, however Taker vs Bryan could be very interesting as part of Bryan's ongoing angle. If they booked that and coupled it with Cena vs Punk for the WWE title and Brock vs Orton it would be a hot card. Or it could be Punk vs Bryan and Cena vs Taker as the top 2 matches, or hell they could do Punk vs heel Orton for the title, Taker vs Bryan and Lesnar vs Cena.

I'm enjoying the turnaround. If Punk/Brock and Bryan/Cena are headlining Summerslam , WWE can just shut up and take my money.

Those are some good options for WM. Bryan vs Undertaker would be a nice surprise and I could see Orton's stock rising over the next year with a heel turn. I'm kind of stuck on the idea of Brock vs Undertaker because they tried to make it happen a few years ago and I saw Triple H's strange circular feud. Hopefully they'll be less predictable this year and strategically place fresh faces towards the top of the card.

I guess that makes sense , but I wouldn't be too happy about that mention , lol.

With a sadistic ****er like Dean Ambrose in the MITB Ladder Match expect some crazy ass uses of the Ladder. And epic facial reactions. :D

Raw thoughts:

The Punk-Paul E. segment was well done. This feud could be something special, especially with Punk and Paul eventually oppossing one another on the mic.

Bryan vs Orton was a great match. It didn't have the markings of their possible 5-star first encounter, but it was solid and entertaining. Plus, WWE did the right thing by giving Bryan a long, long overdue major win.

Mark Henry...Mark Henry....Mark Henry. He's become absolute gold on the mic. He truly is a puppeteer with the crowd's emotions. I laughed until I couldn't breathe at "I know I look good. This ain't no Men's Wearhouse."

Former WWE announcer Matt Striker was recently interviewed on The Shoot radio. Here are some highlights:

Alex Riley as a potential replacement: "He's a good kid. He's a taller better looking version of Matt Striker. I believe he's a graduate from Boston College, he's well spoken, he's bright and i think its a great opportunity for Alex Riley. To me, this is what is my saving grace i'm gone now and then i read that it's Alex Riley that sitting in that chair and i think about all the conversations I've had with Alex Riley, maybe one thing i said to him he uses on the show and he's now the breath of fresh air, he's now the new guy, i don't fault anyone for that. WWE gives opportunity, they gave me an opportunity, their giving Alex Riley an opportunity and i expect great things for Alex Riley and i'm genuinely happy for him"

Issues when he first got to WWE: "When i first came to the WWE, i did not wear humility well. I think people mistook my New York-ness and my excitement for arrogance and i am glad that that happened, i'm glad that some of these battle tested veterans sat me down in their way and said hey man i slept in a car, wrestled for $5 and did all these things so that a kid like you could walk in here right now and once i started to realize that i began to adopt the same theories and mentality."

I would like one day for a MITB case to be cashed in, successfully, at a house show. That would send online wrestling media buzzing, leading to an anticipated Raw or Smackdown right after.

For once, I want somebody to cash in at Wrestlemania and we came SO close with Dolph.

While the original cash in with Edge can never be topped, I loved Kane cashing in on the same night he won it, lol.

I would love for Colt Cabana to be resigned and be Striker's replacement.

As much as I would love

Dean Ambrose to win the MITB I don't think it will happen even though the only other guy winning that I could see would be Wade Barrett. However I would be alright with Sandow or Cesaro winning aswell.

Actually, a Shielder winning the case would be pretty cool, just to see them cash it in while entering through the audience.

I would for Ambrose to win. At this point, he actually does make the most sense considering he's the only one that's been booked well.

I think it's too early for Ambrose to win it. I would really love it if Sandow won it, I'm a big fan of his work, I think he needs a little tweak on his character to become a main event heel (like how blue blood HHH became the cerebral assassin).

And I kinda think the double main event for Wrestlemania could/should be

John Cena vs. CM Punk for the WWE title

&

Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar

I am a big Barrett fan, so I'm rooting for him to get the blue case. I'd also be happy with Sandow. As for Ambrose, he will wind up in the whc picture anyway so he doesn't really need the case imo.
