Vince is surrounded by yes men. Anyone with some common sense would of told Vince years ago that carny hazing/bullying s*** doesn't fly anymore. It especially is a bad idea when your trying to present your business as professional and family entertainment.

Being surrounded by yes men is fine when you're a family-owned business. When you're a public company, with shareholders, some of whom might be institutional investors who have more money than every wrestling promotion that ever existed combined, and a company that has at several points been the takeover target of private equity firms, you have to smarten up.

Apollo Crews is too good a wrestler for WWE to fail at.

If it were up to me, I'd have him turn heel, change his name and pair him with Eva Marie as his "agent/manager". Give him the old "MVP" cocky athlete gimmick and take it from there.

Have him feud with Sami Zayn or Rollins to get him over. Then put one of the secondary titles on him for a healthy heel-title run.

I already aired my thoughts on Dean so I'll just link it. The second bit is already out of date, I guess.

For all the great writing on the part of Creative on SD, I am not really sure the 'get' Ambrose. His relative fall from grace has coincided with a move to SD where, I feel he has become more 'Carefree Hobo' rather than 'Lunatic Fringe'.
He should be the one trying to crush Corbin with a forklift, not be on the receiving end. I mean, Randy was face after committing arson, I'm sure attempt at manslaughter will get a face pop as well.
Unfortunately, he is IC Champion and while that reportedly doesn't stop him from getting traded, I don't see Owens moving to SD in the midst of an active storyline which has very good heat.
