He claims to be Cena's buddy, but I don't think I've ever heard Cena himself ever come out to defend anything about Cole. And I don't think Vince loves him either, it's just the fact that he's spineless around Vince and will bow down and do anything he says.

Cena is the top heel wrestler in WWE. He gets better heat than Miz, Del Rio, Ziggler, and Henry. Even with the cheers he gets the guy still gets the most hate.

I have to be serious here, I've been watching the WWE since the late 90's but never once was I bothered by Cole and it seemed like the IWC never had an issue with him either. It wasn't until he got drafted to Raw in summer of 2008. Vince wanted him to become more colorful by delivering him some ridiculous lines and eventually utilized the negative reception that he received. Too bad Bobby Heenan can't teach these jabronies a thing or two about commentating.
