Yea Lita is looking good these days. I hope they reconsider Taker/HHH. I'd much rather see Jericho/Taker and Punk/HHH.

Yeha Lita looks really good. So does Melina , I guess Morrison took time away to sit around the house with her.

Jericho / Undertaker was part of my dream card for WM. I'd rather see that than be indifferent about Undertaker's match. I don't think HHH/ Taker 3 would suck they couldn't top anything they've done before. Also Triple H vs CM Punk seemed to be the logical progression. Now Triple H is going dispose of Nash in a meaningless feud and the COO storyline doesn't really come full circle.

**********

What happened to Chavo Guerrero , I thought he left WWE to set the wrestling industry on fire.

Damn I feel stupid. Didn't even realize Tribute To The Troops was on yesterday.

So the WWE still have no interest in entertaining the idea of changing the WWE Championship, despite the backing of it to be done so by other Superstars, including Cena. Shame.. :csad:

They're money since I guess the bling look sells a lot to certain fans and it also sells to kids. It sucks since the belt is ugly and doesn't really say "champion" to me.

More than likely. It reminds me of the ('09) Big Show / Cena feud where the big man didn't get a single victory

[BLACKOUT]Triple H [/BLACKOUT]vs. Undertaker Set for WrestleMania, Likely Main Events

Posted by Marc Middleton on 12/13/2011
- As seen on last night's RAW Supershow, Triple H brought up The Undertaker's absence and declared that The Streak ended at WrestleMania 27 because we haven't seen The Deadman since then and he couldn't leave the ring on his own.

The Wrestling Observer reports that Triple H vs. The Undertaker is booked as one of the matches at WrestleMania 28 in Miami.

We noted yesterday that officials have Chris Jericho vs. CM Punk for the WWE Title also penciled in for WrestleMania 28. Add The Rock vs. John Cena and you have the three main events for Miami.

*******

Worst thing about The whole thing with Big show vs Cena is thats why guys like Kane and Big Show have no credibility and one reason why some hate Cena so much.

As for Taker vs HHH III its a waste of everyone's time. If Taker wins it uses up Takers already limited time to do something else and if HHH wins...well...we all know what that means.

Triple H vs Taker II or III for those of us that haven't got short memories is pathetic, their last match was a bore and now they are gonna stink it up again. Both these two should be helping younger guys not hogging time on this ********.

Thats what I don't get. Do they seriously want everyone to forget HHH vs Taker at WM 17? They finally acknowledged it after WM27 but do they want us to forget it again? This'll be their third match. HHH sounds like the whiny Christian asking for one more match but I'm sure WWE doesn't want that comparison made.

I liked HHH vs Taker II but there is nothing else they can do to make this any better. The only difference could be HHH putting his career on the line but what good does that do anyone in the long term and it doesn't help the in ring portion.

Well the idea certainly isn't fresh. I didn't think it was that bad but the ending did leave me feeling kinda sour. The only other downside is that it really looks like Triple H came out to hog Punk's spotlight this year.

The match and feud need to lead into Mania where Punk going over HHH would really matter. It is seeming more and more like HHH and his buddy Nash either got one over on Punk or wrestled him just to get some of his buzz.

I still feel like Cena would have been the perfect Duke, lol.

He'd pretty much be the cartoon Duke. Either way he'd be WAAAAYYYYY better for it than Tatum.

:hrt:

What other guest stars you'd like to see next year on Monday Night RAW? Well if you ask me, I would wanna see

[YT]l23sMZhD5vE[/YT]

especially if Michael Cole tries to challenge them to a dance-off. Can you imagine that?

How about no guest stars?

But seriously, I only want guest stars like Jackman, a real star who acts like they want to be there. Not some creature from a crappy MTV show.

I... approve of this suggestion. Would be fun to see how they maneuver in a space like a wrestling ring.

I want the Expendables. ( Stallone , Statham , Li , etc)

Just no one from reality TV please.

I hate how they destroy momentum like that. Kane could be used so much better and this could be his last chance at a decent run.

Given this thread has mostly US posters I know I will cop flack for this but I watched tribute to the troops and not only was most of it corny it's also borderline offensive IMO.

The only highlights were Eve's interview with that amazing guy who won Dancing with the stars, the footage of Kofi, Punk, Eve and Cody doing the skydiving, and Mary J Blige's performances.

From what I've read the suspended license was a computer glitch and it's only for speeding now.

Ah, good for her.

As you know I hated the match, but what is the motivation for the match to happen a third time? and honestly it only happened last time because they needed a marquee match as the title matches were so weak.

Exactly, I mean the only way Triple H could do more to Taker this time than last is if he uses a knife or a gun, they surpassed in sort of suspensions of disbelief in the last match IMO.

The sad thing is that I'm not surprised in Triple H, this is his M.O., bag a spotlight hogging main event match, but I expect better from Taker.

:cmad: We need to start a "U S A" chant in here . :oldrazz:

After watching the Best of King of the Ring I think they did a good job with it.They should have shown clips of the tournament bouts leading into matches but that's my only gripe. King Mabel is the only winner that never gets mentioned , lol.

That's it Hunter, I'm sending Hacksaw Jim Duggan to your house tough guy!

If they just feed Kane to Cena right now WWE deserves the sliding Raw ratings. I know Cena needs a filler feud but This is a case where Cena AND Kane need to look strong.
If they do have a feud both men need to split the wins and Kane needs to win the first match.

I like the idea of Tribute to the Troops but its WWE's little PR bit they do once a year even though they'll never say that.

It reminds me of the proposed Cena vs HHH II. HHH just couldn't let that loss lie. He couldn't move on and needed another crack at Cena but thankfully we were spared by a opportune quad tear.

If Taker offers to lose the streak to HHH and if HHH accepts I'll feel nauseated. They should both know better than that. It didn't matter if HBK retired to a veteran because he made a second career out of putting guys over. Even at Wrestlemania. HHH makes a new star once in a blue moon.

It just reeks of lazy booking and ego to me. The match has nothing to offer for a third go around.

that johnny ace tribute on raw was absolutely brilliant :D
haven't laughed that hard in a long time

Internal Thoughts on The Miz & Del Rio, Jericho-WWE Update, Kelly Kelly

Posted by Marc Middleton on 12/14/2011

- WWE reportedly had Kelly Kelly change her new website from barbarablank.com to wwedivakellykelly.com.

- It's said that Alberto Del Rio's stock isn't as high as it was a few months ago within WWE. There's a feeling that RAW is lacking a top heel and while The Miz is good, he's not seen as someone who can be the brand-carrying heel. Del Rio was supposed to be that heel but the feeling is that he's not quite at that level either.

- Regarding a WWE return for Chris Jericho in 2012, it's believed that he will only be back for a temporary run but that's not confirmed.

Kaitlyn's Heel Turn Possibly Nixed, Triple H's Big Changes Coming to FCW

Posted by Marc Middleton on 12/14/2011

- Triple H's changes for WWE developmental that have been discussed for months look to be happening soon. Matt Matalaro, who has been working hands-on in FCW including as an announcer, is now working at WWE headquarters in Stamford, CT with the creative team. His role is to help coordinate debuts and new characters being called up.

Triple H has the plan of not calling anyone up unless creative has a good idea for their character and a long-term idea of what to do with them.

- Kaitlyn turning on AJ Lee and siding with Beth Phoenix and Natalya was edited off the December 6th SmackDown because of time constraints. The idea may have since been dropped because they didn't re-do it at this week's tapings.

Latest on the WWE Returns of Sin Cara & Rey Mysterio, Legends House

Posted by Marc Middleton on 12/14/2011

- WWE's Legends House reality show will reportedly be filmed in Tampa, Florida.

- Rey Mysterio was telling people at this week's WWE TV tapings that he isn't rushing himself to return and risk messing up his surgery. He is looking at returning to the ring in May, so he will miss WrestleMania.

Regarding Sin Cara, he's been telling people he will be back in four months and will be back in time for WrestleMania because he doesn't want to miss the payday.

CM Punk Discusses Changing WWE, Alberto Del Rio, RAW's Mystery GM & More

Posted by Marc Middleton on 12/14/2011

- WWE Champion CM Punk appeared on 98 Rock in Baltimore, Maryland earlier this week. Below are some highlights and the embedded audio:

* Punk said more of the same about The Rock returning to WWE and then leaving again. Punk expressed frustration that he's the only person in the locker room pissed off about it.

* Punk talks about changing WWE and thinks he still has years left to get it where he wants.

* He said there was a plan for the RAW General Manager to be revealed but wouldn't say who.

* Punk said Alberto Del Rio was a victim of the system and should have won the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania. Punk added that WWE is notorious for "cutting the throat" of some of their younger talents.

* Punk admitted he is beat up but not in "crippling pain."

* The WWE Champion said he is not in a relationship and is single.

Update on the Most Masks Record at WrestleMania, Piper Video, Vickie

Posted by Marc Middleton on 12/14/2011

- Below is part 3 of Arda Ocal's interview with WWE Hall of Famer Roddy Piper:
[YT]1ZlKHh79shY[/YT]
- Vickie Guerrero will be appearing at Operation Super Hero in El Paso, Texas on Thursday morning at 8am. They will be collecting canned food and toys for families in the area.

- Despite previous reports, there is no plan in place to try and used the masked Kane to break the world record for most masks in one place at WrestleMania 28. It was pointed out by a source that just because Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara are injured, they could always get Mysterio to make an appearance and get the crowd to put on masks to set the record.

RAW Rating News, Jericho Comments on Return Reports, Network Theme

Posted by Marc Middleton on 12/14/2011

- As noted before, this week's Slammy RAW did a 2.84 cable rating over three hours and a 2.98 rating for the normal two hours, about the same as the previous week's 2.97 rating.

RAW this week averaged 4.11 million viewers over the three hours. The first hour averaged 3.67 million, the second hour averaged 4.49 million and the third hour averaged 4.16 million viewers.

This week marks the 8th straight week and 12th out of the last 15 weeks where RAW has lost viewers in the final hour.

- The theme song being used in the new promos for the WWE Network is "Cinema (Skrillex Remix)" by Benny Benassi featuring Gary Go.

- Chris Jericho responded on Twitter to reports of a return feud with WWE Champion CM Punk and called them "bogus, weak journalism."

Trish Stratus Turns Down RAW Appearance, WWE Classics Content, CM Punk

Posted by Marc Middleton on 12/14/2011
- WWE Games noted on Twitter that according to their data, CM Punk is the #1 most played Superstar in the new WWE '12 video game.

- WWE is expected to quietly do away with WWE Classics On Demand and not make a formal announcement. Most of the content such as the Legends Roundtables will be moved over to the new WWE Network in 2012.

- WWE officials wanted both Lita and Trish Stratus to present the Divalicious Slammy on Monday's RAW, sort of as a way to endorse Kelly Kelly. Trish turned them down because of the traveling. There is no heat on her from turning the offer down and she's still on good terms with WWE, she just did not want to travel from Canada for what would have been a quick appearance on the show.

Stan Bush Thanks CM Punk, What Happened After SmackDown, WWE-LI Matches

Posted by Marc Middleton on 12/14/2011

- The updated main events for this Saturday's WWE Supershow at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island are CM Punk vs. The Miz vs. John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio with Mick Foley as special referee and Mark Henry vs. Big Show.

- The dark main event after last night's WWE SmackDown tapings in Raleigh saw Heath Slater, Cody Rhodes and Wade Barrett beat down Randy Orton until Big Show made the save. Orton put Slater through a table to end the show.

- 80's musician Stan Bush wrote the following on Twitter regarding his "The Touch" being used on RAW this week:

"@CMPunk Thanks for spinning The Touch on Raw! It's the tune that never dies! #YouveGotThePower"

"The pro-wrestling world has been pretty kind to me in 2011! First it was @CHIKARApro now it's @WWE - "The Touch" and wrestling work pretty well together!"

"Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad they played it - even for Johnny Ace!"

I really love Triple H's ideas in terms of the creative direction and handling of developmental talent. The way Kharma and Sin Cara were promoted was great as well.

Rey actually plans on coming back? He needs to retire.

Shame Mysterio will not be on the Wrestlemania card again. :(

It's said that Alberto Del Rio's stock isn't as high as it was a few months ago within WWE. I don't understand how management can expect either guy to carry the company when their characters are constantly booked to look like sh**. This way of thinking is most illogical.

I hope they reconsider Taker/HHH. I'd much rather see Jericho/Taker and Punk/HHH.

I concur, but I wouldn't mind seeing Jericho Vs. Punk (its good enough without the title involved) and HHH Vs. Miz either

Is he talking about the anonymous Raw general manager. I wanted to see a resolution to that but it seems the ship has sailed. I guess they could tie Stephanie into it. Although looking back , John Laryngitis would have made sense.

If Raw should have any guest hosts it should be former WWE Superstars and MMA Fighters. I wouldn't mind seeing Gina Carano or Cyborg Santos host a Raw someday. It would not doubt enliven the Divas, even if just for one night.

:cmad: We need to start a "U S A" chant in here . :oldrazz:

That's it Hunter, I'm sending Hacksaw Jim Duggan to your house tough guy!

:funny: Just to clarify, I respect what the troops do and I admired WWE for going over to Iraq and Afghanistan to put on shows, it's just the jingoism that I find off putting, as there are many troops from other countries also over there, yet WWE act like Gi Joe is doing it all alone.

It reminds me of the proposed Cena vs HHH II. HHH just couldn't let that loss lie. He couldn't move on and needed another crack at Cena but thankfully we were spared by a opportune quad tear.

Ugh, exactly and in the end Triple H finally got his PPV win back, he wasn't letting that receipt go.

The issue with the streak is can anyone become big enough to build off it? finding a guy over enough to take it and with the potential to use it to become a true draw is not easy.

In many ways I feel HBK should have ended it and they could have made a Mania moment for the ages, as Shawn is perhaps the only guy the fanbase would accept ending it and it would have least been used for something special, at the rate it's going it's becoming a case of ever diminishing returns, the streak match will never soar higher than it did in 2009 IMO.

Agreed and I expect that from Triple H, just not Taker.

Swerve: The AGM was Punk all along! :oldrazz:

I don't post here 'cos I haven't really watched wrestling since probably 2003 ish but the last couple of years I've liked to read this thread and results online. So I was just reading about Trips potentially facing Taker and ending the streak and I decided to post just to say that IMO Taker should retire with the streak intact.

Taker deserves the honour of the streak and I think he deserves to retire with it intact. I'm kinda surprised WWE would consider ending it, I mean, it could be useful to WWE down the line in terms of selling DVDs ('The Streak' dvd) and selling other Taker and Wrestlemania items. And plus, you know, if Taker was to ever come back for 'one more match' or anything, it could be majorly useful in that situation.

Its really interesting if you look at it from a business point.

If Undertaker loses, its The End for him (although I think his last match should be at Survivor Series where it all began) and whoever breaks it becomes immortalized for better or worse.

However, if The Undertaker wins, they have money to make off 20-0 tribute shirts and other merchandise such plus you know they would be putting Undertaker over big time on a future Greatest Superstars (insert rest of the title here) DVD with the narrator saying something like "Many consider The Undertaker to be the greatest WWE Superstar for his incredible feat of being undefeated at Wrestlemania."

Decisions, decisions...

Personally, I also think he should retire with The Streak intact. Its just such a unique accomplishment that I'd hate to see it end unless John Cena was The One, but then again, I can agree with those who said that The Streak should end when The Undertaker can no longer go. I wouldn't be surprised if Wrestlemania 27 was the beginning of the end seeing how The Undertaker got a beatdown so bad by Triple H, his character was made to look like he was losing his power and becoming mortal again.

They need to position Ziggler and Cody for the role IMO.....or drive a truck filled with money up to Bobby Roode's house.

This is good news, I mean how the hell were they going to market the monster that returned the other night as a face and get kids to wear that evil mask? I've never been a fan of Kane but Henry has shown a monster heel can still work in the current wrestling world, and if booked right this revamped Kane could be money.

Interesting, is Velvet desert? :awesome:

:funny: I bought the game the other day and the only match I've had so far was as Punk.

He's been unlucky with Mania's in his career.

I concur, but I wouldn't mind seeing Jericho Vs. Punk (its good enough without the title involved) and HHH Vs. Miz either

If Punk/Jericho happens it has to be for the title as there's no other match to have the belt in.
