Whatever. Still a movie with a RT rating of 28% is not good and I doubt the critics are really wrong with that. I haven't seen a good movie with a rating closer to 28%.

i personally enjoyed Kick-Ass 2 so i am looking forward to what Wadlow will bring to X-Force. besides, i am sure he'll get some guidance from Singer and Vaughn.

Tell that to the people who all enjoyed it in the Kick-Ass 2 forum. I'm sure they would totally change their opinion cause you say the critics are not wrong. You can't argue jack **** if you havn't seen a film.

Your right the guy doesn't have a good track record. The only film I've seen is KA2 from him and I liked it, so yeah I think he is capable of writing a bad ass X-Force flick especially with Deadpool.

Most of the people read the comics. I didn't. And from what I noticed here, most people usually like the movie when its still new but their opinions change about the quality of the film after some months, for example G.I. Joe 2/Ghost Rider 2/TASM.

And like I said, I will probably not enjoy the film just like with the first movie. And if you thought Blade was a good movie and I didn't. Our opinions about Kick-Ass 2 being a good movie or not, might be not the same.

Agreed. And yeah, I don't think you will like it if you did not like Kick-Ass 1 much.

But I did say even if I watched Kick-Ass 2 and I enjoyed it. I will still prefer the X-Force film to have a different writer with a better track record. You/we might not see the flaws with KA2 but the critics did, so there's still a problem with that.

Damnit Psylockolussus just stop dude. Maintsream film snobs are the worst. Especially when they can't make decisions for themselves and are using other peoples opinions as facts over their own.

It shouldn't matter what critics think. Is it an added bonus when they agree with the viewers opinon? sure. Judge a film by your own merits. Theres alot of films that just don't lend themselves to critics even though theres an audience. I laughed my ass off in both We're The Millers and Kick-Ass 2. That was the point. Entertainment and having a good time.

Obviously, if majority of the critics thought it wasn't a good film but the GA thought it was a good movie. There's still a problem with that. Thats like a fan of the Twilight movies saying how great the Twilight films are despite the critics/people who aren't into Twilight trashing the films.

All I'm really saying is in the 1st place is FOX should hire writers w/ a good track record for their X-Men films.

There is no problem with that at all. This is were your views are kinda distorted. The Twilight fan base doesn't care. They don't make those films for critics, and they don't need to. It has a demo that it caters to. Don't you see that?

I judge films by own merit. Sex and the City the Movie, Spice World and Mamma Mia and even X3/Fantastic Four/G.I Joe are some of my favorite movies of all time.:hrt: And they all have rotten ratings in RT.

But in my opinion, its not smart to hire a writer who was a screenwriter to a film that wasn't well-received by the critics and critics will still have an effect on the film whether you, the fan community, the general audience and I enjoyed the film. Like if FOX is gonna make superhero films, they should hire people with a good track record/resume/filmography, not just because they enjoyed Kick-Ass 2 and they thought it was funny despite getting a low rating in RT.

I got that. And I'm saying as long as the audience (the people these films are made for) enjoy it. That holds more power and always will. Not everyone relies on others opinions. B+ cinema score for Kick-ass 2 btw. First one got a B.

I assume his pitch must have been pretty cool for Fox to move forward that fast.

Though not all enjoyable films are critically acclaimed.

FOX shouldn't just settle for an enjoyable film. They should strive for the bigger picture, a film that will be liked by everybody - the GA, the fan community and the critics. Getting a writer w/ a good track record is one step into that direction. They shouldn't hire writers like Simon Kinberg and Jeff Wadlow, in my opinion.

Obviously, there's a problem with a film if its so well liked by the audience yet it got a low rating in RT.

So just to go off on a superhero tangent quickly, do you mind if I field a few questions about X-Force?

Only if you don't mind me being a bit evasive!

Alright then! So, there have been many incarnations of the team [Wadlow starts shaking his head]... no? Nothing?

All I can say is this: I bought X-Force #1 when I was a kid, I've read the recent run of Uncanny X-Force which I thought was fantastic, but other than that I just can't comment on the line-up or anything yet.

So were you a superhero fan before you came to Kick-Ass and X-Force then?

Oh, yeah, massive, massive. I collected comics from my first allowance until college, in my mid-20s, and I only stopped purely because I couldn't afford it anymore! You know, I had to pay my rent and figure out a way to eat, by the time I stopped collecting they were like $3 an issue which is a lot compared to the 95 cents it was when I started. I've actually rediscovered comics in the last few years on my iPad, using the Marvel app and Comixology. I hate reading books on my iPad, but comics look amazing on it. I really enjoy it, so I've been filling the gaps in my back issues that way.

So changing angle on X-Force, would you say it's a stand-alone movie, or is it something that spins out of what Fox is currently doing with the X-Men franchise?

Oooh, let's see, what can I say? Let me put it like this. It will seamlessly exist in the X-Men cinematic universe, but it's not a sequel.

So yeah, def a mix of early X-Force and Uncanny X-Force.

i really like his passion and happy he is a fan i hope they get jane goldman on the script

I think the character with most options to appear from Uncanny X-Force is Psylocke.

Id be really surprised if Archangel or Colossus show up.

"It's not a sequel" basically confirms that all the major characters will be new ones we have not yet seen. So Cyclops, Wolverine, and other key X-Men are probably out. I don't know how else you'd interpret that, unless the script changes.

That's what I was thinking.
I think the character with most options to appear from Uncanny X-Force is Psylocke.

Yeah, her and Deapool. Both extremely visually bad ass characters who fans have been waiting for. If he's a fan of UXF he's def a Psylocke fan. She's the star.

He could go with Fantomex as well....

Domino is also on the current Cable and the X-Force, and she been on older X-Force teams, so she is also likely.

He's always talking UXF and the Nicieza/Lifeld run. So it's safe to say those are the two he's usuing. Can't have the original wihtout Cable and Domino. Deadpool is on both, so he's seems safe. And Psylocke is the stand out of UXF, who has yet to be utilized. So those 4 are my guess. Don't know about the 5th....

Wadlow said characters who weren't in Xavier Institute in movies, so definitely Cable, Domino and Deadpool. The other 2: hope for Psylocke, would love to see Archangel also.

Deadpool: Ryan Renolds
Angel: Ben Foster
Cable: Josh Brolin

Think that trio could carry a big budget X-Men spinoff easily.

As a mismatch between original X-force and uncanny X-force I wouldn't Wolverine being In it.Psylocke Is more likely than Colossus or archangel.

I think It's quite likely Cable,Domino, and deadpool will be In film.

If Wolverine Isn't In film maybe another member of original X-Force not used In films yet.
Maybe Cannonball.

If Psylocke ends appearing on this spin-off, I hope Singer uses her too on next XMen sequel, as a connection between movies.

She is basically the only big x-woman left to appear with main cast, so she would be the perfect link.

I hope she shows up as much as possible. But I really don't think Singer has any interest in her. We can't even get Cyc or Storm development. The other X-Girls don't get enough attention/development as it is and he's got the three most popular minus Jean. Emma Frost seems to be wasted in the grand scheme of things which is a shame. I really wanted to see her on the X-Men. She's a great contrast to the team. I know theres always the "with a great writer Psylcoke could work and stand out" but I just don't see her being used by Singer other then action scenes and power if at all. Like I said I hope she does get used, especially where Angel is but with X-Force I think that can allow her to get her due more.

Wadlow is obviously a fan, so hopefully the X girls in this one will stand out more then they would being included in a small role in a X-Men film. I'm sure that would be the case with Dom.
