Yeah, that would be awesome. Think it's safe to say Cable and Domino are in the clear but it def would be nice to have some confirmation on characters.

I doubt they already have concept art for this movie.

Just an official announcement with maybe possible release year would be more than enough to please the fans, I think.

concept art would be cool, for sure, but I dont think they have a creative team working already on it

Maybe I am reading too much into things but:
Days of Future Past led into Days of Future Present
Days of Future Present was a massive cross over with X-Men, X-Factor, New Mutants and Fantastic Four...all are owned by Fox

as for cast I don't think anyone is a lock or not a lock to be in this:

we saw a X-men movie where Storm, Wolverine and Rogue were X-men before Angel and Iceman
we saw an Avengers team founded by Cap, Black Widow and Hawkeye (yes Cap is considered a founder but the original team was IM, Thor, Hulk, Antman/giantman and wasp)

Stephen Lang is not too old.

Cable isn't exactly a spring chicken.

He's perfect and was practically born for the role.
Even Liefeld just mentioned on twitter that Lang is way too old.

and do we really need any more proof that Liefield's an idiot???

If anything, that proves he has sense.

Liefeld won't cast Lang as Cable because he as feet.

Or because he's way too old to lead a potential franchise.

The way people have been *****ing about Hugh, Famke, Halle, Ian, and Patrick's ages over the last few months, you'd think they'd want to stay away from casting someone who'd be in his mid 60s when the film is released.

Jeff Wadlow, who is readying for the August 16 release of Kick-Ass 2, has been tapped to write an adaptation of X-Force, an X-Men spin-off being developed by 20th Century Fox.

The news comes on the heels of various blogs reporting today that the studio registered X-ForceMovie.com a few months ago.

Longtime X-Men franchise producer Lauren Shuller Donner is producing X-Force.
Wadlow is now writing the script with an eye to direct.

X-Force was an early 1990s spin-off from Marvel Comics’ flagship Uncanny X-Men comics created by Rob Liefeld and its first issue set sales records when it sold five million copies. (The record was only surpassed when X-Men #1, drawn by Jim Lee, sold eight million issues.)
STORY: CineEurope: Universal Declares 'Kick-Ass 2' 'Irreverent, Dark and Often Offensive'
The original line-up of the team was made up of several characters from the first Uncanny X-Men spin-off, The New Mutants, teens who had matured into young adults. But also among the line up was Cable, a militant leader from the future who is related to X-Men heroes Cyclops and Jean Grey. His body is enhanced by robotic parts and he has some telekinetic powers as well.

Wadlow wrote and directed Kick-Ass 2, the sequel to the violent and funny 2010 hit based on the comic books by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr. He recently wrote two episodes of A&E’s hit show, Bates Motel.

Wadlow is also writing an adaptation of Bloodshot, based on the Valiant comic and set up Columbia.

He is repped by WME and Hirsch Wallerstein.

I was actually thinking they'd wait and see how Kick-Ass 2 was received before settling on Wadlow... but I did see that coming.

they may be more along than we thought

:wow:

Im really impressed with how fast Fox is moving. Great job, Fox!!

new spin-off and writer/possible director already on board

I like this choice. Kick-ass 2 has a great look, so if this writer do something darker and more intense/adult oriented, this has a really great potential.

I take it Vaughn will probably produce this as well. That guys gonna be making some cash.

I think they should limit the characters to 5 or six. My picks would be

Cable
Deadpool
Psylocke
Domino
Canonball
Warpath

I'm not too sure who the villain could be, I feel Apocalypse should be reserved for a proper X-men film.

I'd be cool with that roster.

yeah, I see it happening too.

So basically, we already have Singer, Vaughn, Millar and now Kick-ass 2 director on board with the X-Men franchise.

I like this team!

Meh, not too impressed with Jeff Wadlow. Even Kick-ass 2, from the little I've seen so far, seems like a step down from Matthew Vaughn's work directing-wise.
