Numbers in and of themselves are a dying thing and seem to be the exception now, more than the norm. The Iron Man series and the upcoming GoTG 2 are the only Marvel or DC based films with a number in them that I can recall from the current modern era of films

You forgot Kick-Ass 2.

No... no person v. another person it's already been done. To not so successful effect.

Agreed! I've always hated the concept anyway and it would be silly doing a 3rd one after 2 in quick succession (after Civil War).

Deadpool v. Cable: Dawn of Force :p

With Domino acting like Wonder Woman and watches a video clip of Shatterstar, Feral and Rictor to tease the next movie.

I think the X-Force team should be:

Deadpool
Cable
Domino
Copycat
Colossus
Negasonic Teenage Warhead

Maybe switch out Copycat for Psylocke and I think you have a great team right there.

Don't think that's gonna happen considering they put Psylocke with the 80's X-Men.

I do wonder if they plan to make Vanessa a mutant or give her powers. I was hoping that they would do that in the Deadpool movie but they didn't.

It could be addressed in the sequel. She could have been injected with the mutation serum during the climax but she wasn't in the machine long enough to trigger a mutation. Maybe an accident happens in the sequel that causes it.

I hope so. Because personally, I feel like Vanessa is a bit boring when she's a just normal human being considering that she's a mutant in the comic-books.

She's gonna be. The writers and Baccarin pretty much confirmed in separate interviews that the film just didn't have enough time here and it's something that will be explored down the road. It was the right choice.

In the comics her role is basically fight X-Force, get jealous of Siryn, get captured by Weapon X and die in Wades arms. Siryn is the one who actually gets development in the Deadpool comics. The Wade/Vanessa relationship is never really focused on. Pre Copycat she only had like one issue of development with Wade. So the films already have an upper hand as far as character.

Cable is a time traveler. Cable will be in X-Force. Where there is a time machine, there is a way.

Plus they have an upper hand on Negasonic as well. They can easily put her in X-Force without angering fans.

I... did not consider that. I also just remembered that sword training video on Instagram between Ryan and Olivia Munn. Yeah, they gotta be grooming her for X-Force.

To that end, I still want Copycat. We can have both. The original X-Force had seven members, albeit a different seven, so this makes seven. And it would make it the first superhero team where the females outnumber the males.

I don't think any X-Force movie will have Deadpool in its title. I'm fairly positive that when they do the X-Force movie, they want it to be the freakin' X-Force movie.

I hope they go all out and make it R-rated
.

Agreed, I think an R-rated team movie/series would be a great niche for FOX to go for being the first of its kind and offering something fresh and new.

So, if X-Force goes R-rated, who do you want? Cable, Deadpool, Domino are probably given. I guess throw in Copycat, Psylocke and Fantomex (his powers are illusions/uses guns/plus EVO I guess). I think they would need mutants that won't have elaborate powers to keep VFX low-ish. I can't see a budget more than like 130 million, unless DP2 does amazing numbers.

DP1 already earned amazing numbers so....

Cable
Deadpool
Domino
Feral
Shatterstar
and Copycat (if Vanessa becomes a mutant in Deadpool 2)

Fox gave Inarritu 135 million I think for the Revenant, and that had to deal with ballooning production costs and an arduous schedule, so I think that could be the upper limit as to what Fox would be willing to invest.

I'm guessing psylocke meant Copycat.

Yeah, I thought so too.

I do have a question regarding Copycat. Do you think they'll retain both her shapeshifting a la Mystique and her power mimicry a la Rogue? I'd prefer her to just copy mutant powers in a non-lethal way unlike Rogue. That way it's always Morena playing her.

Here's what I'd like to see. Angel Dust, who survived Deadpool, beats Vanessa which causes the mutant serum to activate and give her the mutant power, and then the first mutant power she gets is Angel's superhuman strength. And as because it was her first, it's her default power and what she reverts to when she's done with another mutant power. Making Vanessa super strong would make for some solid humor about Deadpool being intimidated by her.

Now that X-23 might be in the next (R-rated (?)) Wolverine, might we see her in X-Force?

I doudt it.especilly since wolverine film may be stand alone from rest of films in X-Men shared universe.also even if not wolverine is set in future while deadpool in present day.

Cable can time travel.

The movies should never use time travel again. Cable coming to the past is the only exception as that is core to his character's backstory. Time travel is an overused plot device that was looked down upon in the books. Its not something they should use as a crutch in the movies. It creates plotholes, cheapens things and unnecesarily messes with the continuity of this universe they have created

Then we can say goodbye to Psylocke being in X-Force.
