How early are you guys going to get to the theater?

Here in NYC the first showing will be May 22 @ 10pm. I'm thinking that 8pm might be too late to get in line. The last midnight premiere I went to was for TDKR, and getting to the theater 2.5 hours before the showing got us not the best (but not the worst) seats. How intense will fans be about lining up?

Remember TDKR had a 160 million 3-day opening weekend. DOFP is tracking for 125 million 4 day. So you should not have to get there too early I guess.

I'll get tickets from work. Midnight showing Thursday. AVX in 3D so reserved seating. No need to line up. :)

I'll probably buy one of those Wolverine Toys R Us masks.

Right now I'm thinking I'll get the tickets the day I will watch it.

But I might have to reserve a ticket if I'm watching it on May 21.

The theaters in my area is pretty inconsistent. I live in a very populated area with 4 movie theaters within fairly quick driving distances. Thursday night shows tend to have a small turnout compared to opening weekend night shows. I remember IM3 and TDW Thursday night showings were small despite theaters having 8, 9, 10, and midnight shows. Surprisingly, TWS had a huge turnout for all the Thursday night showtimes.

I guess it depends on where you are. My local theater would never have a line for a big release! it also never sells out lol.

But theaters in major cities, sure, I could see this happening.

Going opening midnight Thursday. I want to watch this with a packed theatre.

But I'm also trying to win tickets to a "early" screening on the 21st.
