Homecoming They should do a soundtrack like Guardians of the Galaxy

Oldies songs? Why? Cause GOTG did it and it was a huge hit? Cop-out if you ask me, I hope they do something original.

Just wouldn't make sense in a Spidey film in my opinion. A GOTG type soundtrack would work more with X-Men Apocalypse. Just simply considering the fact it takes place in the 80's.

GoTG took place in the present though.

And a movie being accentuated by songs is dependent on the director.

If Scorsese or Tarantino ever directs a picture, expect Spider-man to be swinging in pop tunes.

I actually like the GOTG approach to the soundtrack. It fits Spider-Man as well as it fits Star-Lord.

What a thread. Also to answer the thread question or proposal, No.

If they do (and I'm not saying they should), I think they should use modern songs, ones that a teenager like Peter would listen to. Not sure that would go over well with an older crowd, though. :funny:

"My arachnads don´t, my arachnads don´t..." :o :hehe:

Ugh, no thanks. This reminds of those studio execs that wanted Star Wars to have a disco soundtrack because that was what was hot at the time.

Just stick with a traditional score. It works the best and won't horribly date the movie in a few years.

Well, high-school Spider-Man should have some songs... Personally I'd love some 90s, early 00s stuff. :)

I'm just hoping to put in a MCU-Spider-Man Blu-ray one day and be greeted by the main menu's music:

Hell no. GotG's soundtrack works for GotG. Give me that Elfman Spider-Man score and I'm good.

Yes please! Some foo fighters and Green Day would rock!

What if he is a fan of Billy' supersounds of the 70's?

Absolutely not.

The score for Spider-Man should be memorable but unobtrusive.

Not a good fit Spider-Man, so the answer to your question is: No.

I can see different rock bands making original songs with the use of orchestral music or by incorporating old spidey themes.

Kind of a mixture of how SM1-3 soundtracks and TASM2's soundtrack came to be.

I'm thinking they should go more Rock with a little bit of Orchestral thrown in for the dramatic moments,

Was it really necessary to bump this thread?
