NJPW Best of the Super Juniors 2012 -PAC (Adrian Neville) vs. Prince Devitt

All of this talk about WWE's financial problems and stakeholders attempting to cause change the stock dropping, I wonder how much did Punk walking out affect this situation. He was the 2nd most popular star in the company, and he matched Cena in merchandise sales, and a few times sold more. They made money with the man, no question. It's probably one of the reasons they haven't buried him on television.

I think Punk had very little to do with it. The focus of this investment group seems to be on the decision to include PPV's into the WWE network package costing the company potential money.

But I really believe that this is the switch to PG coming back to haunt them. The WWE used to own the male demographic 18-34 and self consciously made the move away from it.

A lot of it I think is also that the final TV deal with NBCU was lower than what Vince McMahon and the WWE were saying they would get.

That was more the straw that broke the camel's back. It made investors realize that the WWE is not that profitable as it can be.

This.

But not only that. They were (and somewhat are) serving up a lackluster product that pushed away much of the viewership they had even 10 years ago. This causing PPV buys (along with tv ratings) to go WAAAAY down from what they at their peak.

So with them introducing the Network, they created an even bigger problem as they didn't put in place any contingency plan for making up what they would lose on PPVs, creating a much larger money vacuum than what investors are comfortable with, and had already seen occurring in the past decade.

So this debacle is nothing more than the stockholders reacting the same way the cable networks (DirectTV and DISH) have been in the past year.

Honestly Punk returning would be one of the best things with Daniel Bryan being injured. Punk could win the title and eventually put Bryan over on a big PPV.

Maybe Luke can teach him the Bushwhacker strut.

He does have 2 months left on his deal and Bryan is supposedly out 2 months. It could be perfect but last word is that Punk and WWE have not been in contact for quite some time now.

They can get Punk back by paying him a bonus in WWE stock. :o

This just in:

CM Punk is revealed to be a member of the investment group pressuring for upper management changes in the WWE. :o:o:o

Heading to the Hammerstein Ballroom in a few hours! Very excited!

Does anyone know what's going on with 2k14 online? It seems nothing that has been uploaded in the past two days can be downloaded. Can't even preview it.

If there was ever a time for McMahon to retire from being on TV, that was it. The ending was perfect.

It felt like a genuine moment, truly a changing of the guard. Unfortunately a couple months later he came back out as if this had never happened to give a performance review for Johnny Ace.

Batista addresses his fan criticism and the negative response to his WWE return in a clip from his forthcoming DVD release. Here are a couple quotes from The Animal:

"I'm just one of those people who never really cared about being cheered or booed. If they cheered me, it motivated me. If they booed me, it motivated me more."

"Fans say I don't deserve it (Royal Rumble win). It's like they forgot the 10, 12 years beforehand."

"I try to never be disrespectful. I left not because I wanted to leave, but because I needed to achieve some things on my own without the WWE."

"To tell you the truth, I wish the crowd had been a little more supportive."

"When I come back to WWE, I'm with WWE."

"Batista: The Animal Unleashed" is currently scheduled for release on June 10th.

CM Punk mentioned at the Chicago Cubs broadcast booth that during his time off he has been playing a lot of NHL '94 on Sega Genesis and has won the Stanley Cup 18 times.

Punk also revealed that he "is getting married next month." AJ Lee was shown standing off to the side of the broadcast booth.

Yep.

Words is that after WrestleMania (For Vince, Steph, and Haitch, a little time before), everyone gave up expecting him to return.

Official word from Vince to investors, employees, etc. is that he's on sabbatical. But we know that's not the case.

I'm sure he'll come back at some point for a match or two but as a main roster guy he's pretty much done.
