A lot of people (including me) on Twitter had to correct Triple H by calling it Iron WOMAN when he made the announcement

The next NXT Takeover main event announced

Bayley vs Sasha in a 30 minute iron man match

So what this likely means is that over the course of 2015 alone, NXT will give me my four favorite women's matches ever (assuming this one lives up to hype):

Four-way title match
Sasha vs Becky (still #1 for me)
Sasha vs Bayley
Sasha vs Bayley Iron Man

Here's an exclusive clip from WWE's Legends' House (RIP Rowdy Roddy Piper):

So excited about Sasha Banks VS Bayley headlining the next NXT Takeover. Am I right in thinking this is the first women's match to ever headline a WWE "PPV"? Unless I'm forgetting something, it may be the first to even feature a woman, as I can't even recall any mixed tags headlining.

I hope they tear the house down and have the best WWE main event of the year. With the Iron (wo)Man stipulation, it's certainly possible.

There's been a handful of Raw main events with women, but no PPV level events that I'm aware of. I wouldn't be surprised if there's been a mixed tag main event on at least one occasion.

Chyna was in at least one Royal Rumble, so that's the only thing I can possibly think of, if that counts.

WWE should be like LU, a television series about a pro wrestling company. LU is what WWE thinks they are but not.

I'd be afraid that if WWE tried it, they'd take it to the extreme and the wrestling would be like something out of Rocky 3, heavily edited with all the usual precautions taken with fight sequences like stunt doubles, mattresses, wires, makeup effects, etc. Even though LU is done like a regular tv show, the matches themselves are still like traditional wrestling matches rather than scenes.

So, WWE is labeling next week's RAW to be a season premiere? Can we expect new/old talent to show up then? :D Haha.

I never understood the purpose of labeling any episode of Raw a season premiere when it's on every single week of the year nonstop. It doesn't even get pre-empted by dog shows or tennis anymore.

I'm pretty sure both IMDB and Wikipedia list Raw as having seasons. Almost all the shows are having season premieres next week. If WWE is actually promoting it as such then it could mean they have something special planned. They already bumped up the Divas title match from NoC, so that's probably going to be in the later hours. Maybe a rare WWE title match on TV as well...?

Sasha will perform up to expectations again. She's the common denominator in all of these great women's matches that tear down the house at every NXT special. The other girls are good, but she is The Boss for a reason.

If anything, I consider the night after WM the true "season premiere."

I think Maryse would have worked great as a serious heel manager, the accent and the fact that she is a total smokeshow would have worked

but she moved on, se la vie

Yeah, it's usually the best Raw of the year.

But I do hope that this "Season Premiere" is good... because I got tickets to be there, haha.

I'd love to see The Hardy Boyz show up...

That's not entirely true. Charlotte vs Natalya is the most talked about match from the second special.
