Sting looks like he's in better shape than when he appeared at WM, I wonder if Vince told him he can't wear the trench coat.
The opening with the Authority was pretty good, as it was super short, but the dancing with TND was amazing. I hate how they push "Season Premiere" as a thing, but it trends and gets recognition, so I guess it works in that sense. I hate the inconsistency with the Authority. They should be full on heels until they are defeated and taken off TV, like what should have happened when D-Bry won the WHC at WM. After that, just have them occassionaly show up to book matches fans want to see like how it's done at NXT. Vince persists with having a bigger presence instead of the show playing out. Even then, if Trips is working a program with Rollins, he should be the heel and get a nice Rollins face run in turn.
TND vs. PTP was a good match. TND is one of the main reasons I tune in and hot tag Titus is great in his role. Loved it. That Pink Panther theme while Big E was trying to sneak attack only to get caught and act surprised was a glorious thing. Bless the New Day.
Charlotte's promo came off a bit heelish at the end with the Natural Selection bit, as opposed to stopping the Nikki reign and showing what a true fighting champion is, but it was good. Paige vs. The Boss was a really good match that was given time and had actual psychology involved in it. Something you don't see in modern WWE too often on either the men or women's side.
The Wyatt/Ambrose & Reigns segment fell flat immediately when a brawl didn't break out. They've been taking the three on two advantage this whole time, and this time they didn't do ****. Reigns cut a good promo though. Moving on, I enjoyed the Sheamus/Cena match, even though Cena no sold the rolling senton and won the match. Good bit of selling by Sheamus towards the end when he stopped beating his chest and slapped the turnbuckle for the Brogue because Cena hit the Ten Beats of the Bowren on him.
I loved KO's character, he's such a dick and minus some of the pandering from Ryback, he did pretty good. Nice little quick thinking when he threw the cover at Ryback.
Charlotte vs. Bella was a good match, with the exception of the finish. The last time Brie was pinned using Twin Magic was against Paige a few months ago, which had the match continue. The same logic should have been applied here, especially since they made an impromptu tag match in the main event. Making it a DQ finish was just stupid, but that's WWE for you. The only good to come of it is that it makes Charlotte look strong and that Nikki has the odds stacked against her. Still, **** finish that really ruined a great moment, all to spite someone. The best thing that should happen is Paige attacks Charlotte, giving her the title and screwing Nikki in the process, then Paige/Charlotte duke it out.
Good match between Rusev/Cesaro even if this storyline makes no sense. Now Ziggler is the heel, which will turn Rusev face?
Main event sucked and should have had a little more Sting.
