This is just my opinion(which usually means nothing on these boards),but I think we should have a Jell-o forum.Forget James Bond or The Hulk(who is by the way a major rip-off of lime Jell-o),Jell-o should've had a forum dedicated to it from the beginning.

1. Your thread title is BS, and alludes to a connection between this film and Spidey 3 that doesn't remotely exist.

2. The thread has nothing to do with Spider-Man 3, let alone Spider-Man 3 spoilers. Just because someone in Thailand decided the wanted to make a movie ripping off Spider-Man doesn't make it relevant to Spider-Man 3.

3. You're the one tossing insults after I express my opinion.

All he's saying is that this might be what Venom could remotely look like. Having a normal build, totally black with the traditional Spider lenses, because we know that they aren't going to make him the hulking monstrosity from the comics.

Right, everyone has a right to express their opinion. Just because YOU think it's pointless, doesn't mean everyone does. In case you missed it - that's simply your opinion. If you look through the thread, you'll see that there are quite a few people who don't share it, and found the topic interesting. So, you're not 'calling' him on anything.

And you may not be throwing insults, but you're throwing around a lot of 'holier-than-thou' attitude.

I'm not worked up. THWIP is the one worked up. I'm saying- what's the point to this?

If we'd never seen a Spider-Man movie and this film was made as a completely original entity- that would be one thing. But we've seen 2 Spider-Man films- and this very recent film is just trying to channel their success.

And- regardless of Venom being the Hulking monster from the comics or not- this character other than wearing a black suit that's a cross between the Black Spidey and Spawn suits- doesn't convey anything unique to Venom- as has been mentioned, he looks as much like a Power Ranger as Spider-Man.

Should I pick a movie with a blonde woman in the lead and start a thread saying "this might be what Gwen will look like? Or point to footage from The Mummy and say "this is what Sandman will look like"?

Actually Daisy, no one has agreed with THWIP that there's a connection between this movie and Spidey 3- only that it looks like a movie threy'd like to watch. So, the point of the thread is still lost.

And my initial criticism wasn't about the thread being pointless- nor have I said it should be closed or any such thing- but simply that nothing about the character suggested anything UNIQUE to Venom, and was only ripping off Spidey. That's an opinion, which THWIP started flaming about.

Well, please tell me how my not seeing THWIP's point as being as important to Spider-Man 3 Spoilers as he does makes me "holier than thou". I would think that the fact that he has to resort to insults would be the actual example of this. But then you're welcome to your opinion. I won't accuse you of being holier-than-thou or dense.
