The Dark Knight Rises This Would Make an Awesome Batmobile!

Well, whatever route Nolan and co. decide to take I just hope that the new batmobile (if there will be one) will have similar traits to the Tumbler. I just love the thing! Perhaps have a slightly sleeker design but otherwise keep it like the Tumbler.

EDIT: Now that I look at images of the Tumbler I think the only part of it that needs a redesign is the front. It looks great from the side angle!

Truth be told, from that angle it has a very Batman-like feel to it. I loved the Tumbler. It's the only vehicle I ever bought an RC model of.

Sorry I agree with evreyone else who agrees that the TUMBLER is da *****!!! its very BAtMAN imo and fits perfectly with Nolans realism... and lets be honest the thing does look pretty effin cool!!

Possibly. Especially seeing it in motion, it has very much the feel of a Batman vehicle. I find it greatly preferable to the glorified Ferraris I've seen people suggesting.

The first one looks like a biatch to get out, if you had to get out in a hurry.

If Batman had an ATV, it could be called the BATV.

See, Nolan changed things - there's no going back. He made the batmobile functional (curbs are not an obstacle any more).

The tumbler was built with functionality and not aesthetics in mind, after all it was originally designed for the military. Its hard to see that work as Nolan's Batman constantly improves his stuff based on experience and necessity. I'm not sure how a sports car into the Batmobile would fit, besides the Tumbler is both tough, armored, advanced and quick to top it all off, its the perfect package, if it ain't broke don't fix it I say.

The way I see it, taking hints from the previous movies, the Tumbler MIGHT receive a makeover and additional abilities, but not replaced all together.

I really prefer the Tumbler.

The reason is that it's never going to be a style adopted by commercial car makers so it will always be unique. Even though people refer to it as a 'tank', it doesn't even look like that.

Another reason is that it's so ugly that it rocks. It's like a monster coming at you. Just the thing Batman would drive. It's all about function.

Agreed. I would crap myself if i saw that thing tearing up the street behind me. Sure, i'd be nervous if I just saw any of the other batmobiles coming after me, just cuz i knew batman was in it. I'd much rather the tumbler over that new car, as sick as it looks. I look forward to seeing what Nolan does to replace/upgrade the tumbler.

In an interview with Chris Corbould (the designer of BB & TDK).... he said that IF the Batmobile does come back, then it should be something with a "completely different design with different applications and abilities".

I agree. To put wings on something that doesn't fly is just needlessly flamboyant.

JETT: The Tumbler was blown up in TDK thus giving us the Batpod. If there is another Bat-Film[Bang, Bang, BANG!], would you like to see it return, or would you like to see a new Batmobile?
