The Dark Knight Thomas and Martha Wayne?

One aspect that annoyed the hell out of me was that the mother was seriously downplayed. She had one speaking line in the whole movie. It probably wasn't Nolan's intention, but I got the impression from BB that Bruce was only traumatized by his father's murder, not both.

I saw no mother-son connection in BB, which is a shame.

I kinda liked the guilt factor Loeb played up in...A Haunted Knight?

Where Bruce insists his mother wear her pearls. Something along that line in BB would've been nice, although the guilt was already used with Bruce wanting to leave the theatre.

Every time see/hear about Martha Wayne in Batman Begins, I'm always reminded that:

1 - Oh yeah, Martha Wayne was in Batman Begins, wasn't she? And
2 - What a ****ing MILF!

Allthough possibly not in that order.

Since Martha wasn't that strong of a presence in BB they can play up that angle in that one of Bruce's regrets was not having a strong relationship with his mother as he did his father.

I hope so, thomas waynes character was great.

"Why do we fall Bruce?"
Agreed.

One of my all-time favorite parts in BB was right after Batman is picked up by Alfred after being burned, and we hear "Bruce... why do we fall?" and see the clip of Bruce's dad grabbing his hand...

Classic.

I think we need to see his parents again briefly but I really got sick of how many times they went over it in the other franchise.

I have a question: does Bruce really need to be in costume when he visits his parents' grave? I mean, someone could see him there as Batman, read the names on the tombstones, and then easily put two and two together...

I think the graves down the hill from the house in Begins. Gallivanting around the grounds in his Bat costume is still a bit odd though, seems more appropriate as a Bruce thing than Batman. But the imagery is very cool

How about something like this?

Tombstone.jpg

That's very cool

Yeah, he doesn't have to be I guess...It's just cool. I feel like we got kinda jipped since there was no "vow" at his parents grave like in the comics.
