Thomas Jane pulls out of Punisher 2!!!!!!

I dont know if I even believe this...if it were from some real website, I might, but I dont trust anything I hear from AICN, a site who's webmaster has posted serious topics about how awesome it is that the girl from heroes with the healing factor is a virgin, as her healing factor will always heal her afterwards, making her a forever virgin ...sorry, just dont trust them at all...when punisher.com reports it, I'll believe it.

Tom Jane did an incredible job as the Punisher and he had a deep love for the character. this is total bulls*$t what Lionsgate is doing. i really hope Marvel can turn this thing around and have Jane come back.

T. Jane saw all the great revenge flicks and realized this sequel wasnt going to be one of the greatest, but was probably aiming to be a 'popcorn' flick.

He did the right thing by pulling out. Jane was the real reason I was really stoke about Punisher 2 because I know if he is excited, then all Punisher fans should be excited too...if he's pulling out, all Punisher fans should write to Marvel to hire a director and writer that can not only satisfy Punisher fans, but become one of the best Vengeance-themed movies out there.

I kind of agree with you. They don't have the best track record when it comes to news. I guess i'll reserve my judgements until there is an official announcement. When Avi announces it or even Jane acknowledges it, not just from a "letter" I guess we can consider it canon. This is only a what if or elseworlds thing. What if Thomas Jane wasn't the Punisher? What if...Dolph Lundgren became the Punisher?

This just made my bad day even worse. Tom Jane will always be the Punisher in my eyes and no one can ever top him as Frank Castle. Here's to hoping LGF gives the rights back to Marvel and they get Tom back to do this movie right.

The only way this will turn positive is if they announce Punisher 2 starring Robert De Niro, who somehow became younger by 30 years and it's to be directed by Martin Scorsese. But since that's not hapening let's hope LGF lose the rights soon and somebody else picks them up hire Jane for an Evil Dead II type Requel.

This is too bad Tom did a good job as Frank and I was hoping the sequel was going to fix some of the problems the first movie had, but once again things go wrong. The Punisher is one of the greatest characters and always had to potential to be shown that way on screen if only they can give it the proper respect it deserves.

Personaly I think he was too much an average joe to be Punisher. Punisher needs to be a force. Like a young Clint Eastwood. When he appears on screen people have to think instantly that he could take your head off.
