Thor: Love and Thunder | Official News and Speculation Thread

It's kinda funny that Thor 1 is the only MCU movie to depict Thor summoning a tornado...

He summoned one in Avengers 1 as well (albeit not offensively), when he was suiting up for the final battle.

It's a shame he didn't summon a tornado during the final battle in EG. The big purple grape with no ranged attacks would have been helpless to stop him!

Here’s something for the TLT female audience. I didn’t even knew they made this type of stuff based on movies. I do think that this movie will attract a large portion of the female audience to the theatres though.

What? Chris Hemsworth's naked body wasn't enough?

It shouldn’t be too long now until we get tickets on sale, maybe even next week, 1 month before release date like DS:MOM.

Anyways I’ll be seeing it asap… on the 6th. I also plan on seeing it multiple times throughout the weekend. :yay:

I just don't understand why they didn't put that in there, it was the final battle of ENDGAME with the biggest bad in the MCU it was THE time to bring out all the stops and high octane abilities.

I assume the ticket sale tv spot will happen at some point during the NBA finals likely next week game 3 or 4.

Because of a cast listing featuring some extras for TLT we now know that the planet where Thor and the GOTG are at is indeed Indigarr and not Centauri IV as theorized by some. The casting list features a character called “Indigarrian Cave Dweller”.

Indigarr is a planet from the Thor/Gorr run in the comics.
A desert world overseen by the cruel and warlike Sky Lords of Indigarr until they were killed by Gorr the God Butcher. Desperate, a young girl prayed for rain, and her prayer was answered by Thor Odinson.

So we can deduct that the story begins with Thor and the GOTG heading to Indigarr, him going on his self discovery and peaceful journey, then eventually realize that he really needs to aid the population of Indigarr, it eventually leads him to discover the suspicious lack of gods around which are the breadcrumbs leading to Gorr’s crusade.

Missed opportunity for a good reference to another movie, but I am not surprised. The MCU is not so connective as it want it to be despite some name dropping of Hydra, Iron Man and Steve Rogers here and then.

The movie needs to connect to Gorr first and foremost. Lets establish that properly before we look towards the rest of the MCU. Besides the Guardians are in the movie already.

Also, what would even be the sense of a reference to "Centauri IV", given none of the prior movies have ever made reference to such? The only possible connection would be to Yondu, who is one, long since dead, and two, the movies largely left implied that he was Kree anyway.

Hopefully Erik Voss sees this so he can shut up with his theories about this being connected to Eternals, despite evidence such as this pointing to the contrary being available since the trailer was released.

I love watching New Rockstars and their theory videos and breakdowns, but Erik has a tendency to take one small little detail from a trailer and movie and get way too carried away with it without any actual evidence to support it. He also got kind of disappointed with WandaVision for not following through with the Mephisto theory, despite the fact that he had a large hand in perpetuating it.

Also reminds me of when MT tried pushing that time travel theory when episode three of Moon Knight released because of the stars being reversed, and fans rightfully pushed back on it. He pushed back and even blocked people from responding to comments related to that topic, still insisting he was right.

I kind of get the sense that MT, and maybe a few of the New Rockstars staff, might not be a very nice in real life.

The teaser trailer playing in a massive French theatre. Apparently it’s the largest movie theater in the world! Check out the crowd reaction! That’s so cool. :yay: France box office coming in hot. :yay:

Here we go!

Thor chasing after Mjolnir like its a dog is a little cringe tbh, but Jane looks badass so that's cool at least!
