Thor: Love and Thunder | Official News and Speculation Thread

Spider-Man 3 - July 2021
Thor: Love & Thunder - November 2021
I wonder if Marvel will stick to these release dates.

PR wise I wouldnt expect them to announce a change for a while yet to focus on the positive of getting the rights back.

Regardless i cant see actual production getting pushed back unless budgetary reasons.

Those dates line up perfectly with the release dates for both Homecoming and Ragnarok. Marvel is clearly returning to a wining formula.

Thor movies have always been released in November.

Has anyone seen Hustlers? And if so how did you think it looked?

Taika Waititi on How 'Thor: Love and Thunder' Will Up the Stakes
"Well, if you take Ragnarok, which I feel was a very outlandish and big, bombastic film, we're trying double down on everything we did with that and create something that is even more crazy and even more of a big adventure,"
"Bringing back a few beloved characters and …a big part of the film, I [didn't] necessarily decide this, but Thor and Korg are a bit of a duo in this film," he teased. "So, my character is coming back and we will see both of them."

I‘m not a native english speaker:
Does doubleing down mean it will be twice as something or half of something?

Twice as much. It's a Black Jack term where you place a second bet for the same amount as the first to get twice as much back.

People love fat Thor so why not bring him back. I even want to play as fat Thor in video games

I think there might be an evolution during the movie and by the end he could be back to his normal self.
Looking physically fit with a similar facial look to AEG but probably without an arm. That would be my guess and honestly what i wish for.

Also depending on Chris Hewmsworth shape going into filming in August we should have a good idea of how Thor is gonna look in T4.

I don't want fat Thor. probably been years after Endgame, he should have lost the weight by now.

He was still in great shape while playing Fat Thor, so that won't necessarily tell us anything.

When I think about Korg, I think of a meme played on repeat of Thor killing the rock monster.

It's like Korg's just waiting to get hit in the nuts with a hammer and go into a pile of rocks and must be kind of wierded out by that scene in The Dark World unless it's his stepdad?. :para::o

If Taika wasn't ever present to moderate with humor, I could see Thor nonchalantly just spin his hammer making a pile of rubble out of Korg for no apparent reason during the next hammer got you off joke followed by a terrible glib one liner then moving onto the next scene as if the movie makers totally forget about the character and what just happened.:whatever:

I don't necessarily agree with that. There's being in Thor shape and there's being in Chris Hemsworth shape.

Normally and like CH did for Ragnarok he will bulk up immensely before filming and become absolutely huge, then he will start to gradually "trim down" reaching peak form for the beginning of the shoot and, since is so hard to maintain that physical stature, it doesn't last long until he starts to lose the weight, muscle and overall size. They even shuffle the schedule of the shoot in order to get the most "visually physical appealing" scenes first and then just try to maintain a good form as much as possible during the 3 months of the shoot.

There's plenty of evidence to support what i just said. From Taika, CH, the crew, his trainer... As i mentioned one example was Ragnarok and how his body changed from the early scenes in Muspelheim and some other scattered scenes throughout the movie to the scenes in the arena...

If even Chris has problems with losing muscle mass, I dread to think what's going to happen to poor little 100 pounds, 5 foot tall Natalie Portman!

Tessa Thompson looked great in Ragnarok. NP is gonna be just fine. They don’t need to go Hemsworth level of diet and training.

Suspension of disbelief is key in a superhero movie.

Easter eggs in the background of a deleted scene from Ragnarok.
"Journey Into Mystery"
"Thunder Love"

I wonder if we might be getting this music for the trailers. That would be pretty sweet.
It's similar to what we got in one of the trailers for Ragnarok and even the soundtrack of the movie.

Song was chill but the driving in that clip, and the spectators... Flip it's a miracle there weren't more tragedies during that rally period...
