Sequels Thread for VILLANS in Spider-Man 4 and 5 (Don't make any more!)

I'm not a big fan of "major" and "minor" villain ideas. We dont need villains there just to have them there, it clutters the story. We need one, at most two, bad guys for Spidey because we all know he will have some personal crisis to deal with as Peter.

Personal crisis + two main villains + two minor villains = too much.

How would two separate stories for the villains work out? This has never happened before. When there's two villains they always team up. I hate that. Wouldn't it be interesting to tell maybe simultaneuous stories for the villains, or go another way, where they're interwinded. It will probably be the latter.

But this is where I always saw Vulture and Lizard in a film. Toomes and Connors compete for a grant, Connors with this serum and Toomes with this wings. Toomes gets the grant and does his thing, Connors frustrated takes it himself, or develops it more to take it for himself, thus giving time to develop Vulture. He robs penthouses and banks, running into Spider-Man. Peter meanwhile deals with Connors, his lab assistant, I'd like that or work with Gwen with Connors. Later the test is successful, that night, Connors takes the serum and transforms. I always liked the scene in TAS where Peter and Debra go in the college and catch the Lizard. They can do that with Peter and Gwen. Maybe Lizard is on the hunt, spots Vulture, gets vaguly flashes of Toomes and what frustration he caused him, attacks him, Vulture escapes. Lizard retreats to sewers. I can definately see Raimi doing the TAS storyline where the Lizard picks off workers and civilians. Maybe he transforms back into Connors, not remembering anything, gets out of the sewer. The next day the Bugle reports rumors or sighting of a Lizard man running amock. Jameson tells Peter to get pictures, this is where Spidey finds Lizard in the sewers, tracking him, gets his pictures, but the Lizard transforms back into Connors, Peter finds out. Peter questions whether or not to sell the pictures to the Bugle for alot of more money or give up Connors trust. Maybe his family can be featured. Maybe.

But I don't want there to be a damsel in destress this time. It has to be personal bewteen Connors and Peter. He goes after him because he has to. Mj is in LA their relationship fine, she appears in the beginning and near the end. Maybe a funny subplot where he tries to call her but never has any change in his pocket or is about to talk to her but is interupted.

I agree, I've always wanted to see the villains go head to head. Thats why I'm pulling for Lizard and Kraven. It'll be as close as I'll likely ever get to a Kraven's Last Hunt adaptation.

I want to see Scorpion. I find his animal theme very interesting, seeing as how the scorpion is the natural predator of the spider. I just want to see a different costume, because really, it's horrid.

They should use his armor from the SM Movie Game. But, instead of purple and green, make it a metallic black and green. It'd be awesome.

I used to want Lizard in SM4 too...but now I don't know if that will be best. The ONLY reason I would rather save him for SM5 is because we have had the villain that is bad because it is out of his control and they are truly good at heart.

Green Goblin...It wasn't his fault, it was the goblin gas
Dr. Octopus...His arms were controlling him and he turned good at the end
Sandman... Terrible circumstances forced him to be bad, turns good at the end.
Harry...Terrible circumstance, turns good at the end.

The Lizard will follow this same trend and I think SM4 should try to stay away from that for once. Introduce a villain who is truly bad and there is no turning good at the end. However in SM5, it would be great to have Lizard.

I won't be upset if we get Lizard (because I do want to see him) but I would prefer if they saved him for SM5 (after all they are filming SM4 and 5 back to back)

Lizard shoulnd't be sympethetci of all of course. Maybe it can be his family that reaches to him, and it's not Connors. I mean he's an animal, he has no self control.

Yeah, and even though Norman Osborn took an experimental formula and performance enhancer, that guy was still a bastard. He did evil things after he gained powers, and he didn't really "turn" back to good at the end. Unless you count "Peter...Don't tell Harry.." (Dies)

I can see it working, the ultimate version wasn't as campy either;

Maybe have his face eventually get twisted by the Scorpion DNA too, like in S:TAS. The fact that he tries to kill Jameson could give an enormous amount of comedic possibilities, after Spider-man saves his life, and JJJ writes how Spider-man is still a menace!

And since I think they're too similar, between the two of them, I'm hoping for the Lizard.

Or keep him the same and bring in the Vulture. So Kraven has something to one-up Spider-Man with. (Instead of Vermin)

Personally, I don't want to see another "Dr. Jekell / Mr. Hyde" scientist villain again. We already have Green Goblin and Doc Ock.

I hate Scorpion's look in Spiderman 3 game.
Hope he looks something like this if he appears in Spiderman 4.

It's just his awkward face, and the bright colour scheme. I'm not a fan of that look at all.
