Karl Malone was there. Maybe everyone just hated the Utah Jazz.

"The Jazz moved to Salt Lake City, where they don't allow music."

I have not seen WWE since Trish Stratus or Tori Wilson was around. I have seen gifs of that chick who likes to dress up as Harley tho.

Kane really is a Tumblr feed that grew beyond anyone's control.

Stacy has them legs though... don't forget about Debra and of course the all time classic Sable

Even before that, there was Sunny. But she's had some... personal issues... after the WWE.

I'm gonna honestly throw this out there...

Is it possible wrestling has come down from the era of height during the Raw/Nitro years because of the wide availability of porn? Hear me out... I was a teen during the Raw/Nitro era and as an even younger kid remembered the start of the Hulk Hogan period. I watched it a bit during the 80's as those era's wrestlers and Vince's business acumen made wrestling ubiquitous in the media diet of kids. You saw it sometimes daily depending on what market you lived in. There were cartoons, commercials for games, toys, the works. Eventually I think a lot of those kids like me, just grew out of it. Lord knows it had never been all that big of a fan to begin with. It was just in the atmosphere in the 80's. In high school WWF had it's big resurgence and frankly, like I said, any appeal it had I grown out of... But then I noticed that the WWF/Wrestling from when I was a kid had REALLY changed and honestly... It had gotten a lot more sleazy and pornofied. And as a hormonal teen in a time before streaming internet porn I sometimes watched for the hot chicks. I lived in rural Pennsylvania and access to pornographic material was not always easy. I can't believe this wasn't true for a lot of 90's teens. SO... Is the current state of WWE linked to the fact that the "porn" aspect of wrestling has little appeal given that actual porn is so easy for young guys to get in 2018?

Or... Did I think WAY too much about this right now?

Well, there was the sleaze aspect of the Attitude Era, that was definitely a thing. But another big factor is that the quality of the WWE product has declined since the death of WCW, since they have had long stretches of time without any real competition. WCW pushing the WWE is what made it better. And now it's all worse off for it.

Get Ted Turner to write a goddamn check.

Is there still any interest in hype competition games? I thought of a simple one today that I might get started involving either just music or various forms of media. I might go into more detail on it in the morning, but I need to get some sleep. Got work in the morning.

That's also true I suppose to a degree... Still it's pro-wrestling. I'm not sure what exactly makes for "better product" given it's visceral appeal in general. Though I think it's possible UFC also eats into the same audience WWE targets so that could be another factor.

Of course wrestling is never going away. It's ingrained in the culture now, but I suppose it will ebb and flow in it's usual mysterious way.

Well, like anything else, it does have a storyline. And the more engaging the characters are, the better the plot flows. Modern WWE struggles at creating interesting stars. All too often they rely on stars of the past, and their younger generation never really breaks through. You're not going to see a Stone Cold and a Rock emerge simultaneously, like you did in the 90s.

Could that be that they just lucked into better behind the scenes talent back then as well as charismatic wrestlers?

They've gone less on the gimmicks and storylines (for the most part) and more on in-ring wrestling.

Well, I don't know if that's true, since every Raw seems to open the same way lately: someone standing in the ring, who then talks for 20 minutes, until the opposing person comes out, and a match is formed later that night as a result. The formulaic nature of it is a big problem, as well.

I guess... then again I watch more NXT than Raw or Smackdown.

NXT is much better. It helps that it's only an hour, so they work to fit more in-ring time in. Raw being 3 hours is the death of all joy.

There's a giant Amiibo of Pikachu wearing a detective hat available for pre-order. It is one of the most ludicrous things I have ever seen. He's also pointing, and making an angry face.

So obviously I pre-ordered one.

I just read the most KRYPTON post ever.

If there are no thick-bodied Latinas, I'm gonna have to name you a liar, sir.
