The Dark Knight Tim Burton On TDK

Burton butched Planet of the Apes..he get's no love from me because he won't even make a sequel to explain the odd ending he left us with. :cmad:

He didn't have time to do everything he wanted, I hear. Tim Roth is good in it at least... IS THERE A SOUL IN THERE?

I loved that ending. Sure it seemed anticlimactic but like I said. I loved it. In a twisted sorta way.

The only thing I wanted more of in Burton's version of "Apes" was more character development. Kris's role along with the other enslaved humans' roles were all deduced to just a few given lines and then left to be picked off one by one in cool death scenes. There was no real depth or humanity given to them other than "we're slaves, monkeys suck, let's follow Marky Mark and get out of here."

Now, Mark Whalberg wasn't as good as Charleton Heston, but he did fine with the role of astronaut Leo and Tim Roth and Michael Clark Duncan were the best damn people in the whole movie.

DAMN THEM! DAMN THEM ALL TO HELL! :woot:

Burton's still the man. I don't care what anybody says. I want him to do another batman some day, a proper sequel to his films.

And he's right, beyond the typical individualistic artistic expression stuff, batman's really such a strong story that it can be come in many different forms and still be good.
I agree Burton is great, his Bat-films are the best, especially the first.
